Many good actors and actresses with more talent and years in the Industry has not gotten the chance to work with Imtiaz or Anant L. Rai.

So true ! Her grandmother not only acted in Oscar winner and bafta winner Satyajit ray’s movies but also started her acting career from a very young age! Apparently these nepos like janhvi , sara are all just 'warming up ' for 5 + years even after getting one meaty role after another , whereas talented outsiders are struggling to get 1 good role in a mainstream film to showcase their talent and get noticed by mainstream audience
Just imagine if Sara, Jahnvi or even Alia had done Bulbul like Tripti had done at her age.
Alia actually did strong roles ... during initial phases of her carrer like highway and udta punjab and that's why she still is relevant while her contemporaries like parineeti and shardha faded out even her Co stars like varun and siddharth

It frustrates me to see that actresses like Sara and ananya keep getting chances while being horrible.
And Tara Sutaria who delivered a knock out performance in Apurva is still MIA.
Tara sutaria is average there are better actors then her.... jhanvi who is a better actor compared to sara and ananya have same acting range like tara sutaria

But my misconceptions about Ananya broke after watching Kho gaye Hum kaha. She has acting capability. I must say she's much better than sara.

I think the larger question here is that even if she is the spunky and nice girl it still doesn't matter. Her performances are inconsistent and that is a fact, she is nice or horrible as a person is a separate question, but the P.R. machinery is still going to cash on these shallow surface level traits to cover up this inconsistency.
Haha I was thinking the same. They try hard to portray her off screen persona so well planned. But her on screen is not good at all.

Watching Murder Mubarak, her fight scene and crying was terribly painful (NOT because it was emotional but because of Sara’s monotone face screaming) I felt absolutely nothing, I still liked the movie enough to tolerate it.
But the trailer itself here was enough for me to not even take a look at it. Sara should either take a hiatus and learn the art she chose or find another line of work.

This movie is like the "Gunjan Saxena" of Sara Ali Khan. Just like Gunjan Saxena, this is a patriotic film with a nepo kid in the lead role, and the supporting cast doing most of the heavy lifting.
Only difference is that Gunjan Saxena was actually good and inspirational.

I was in awe of her due to her kwk debut where she showed that how mature n positive she is
Then i was in awe that she has a degree from Columbia
But as time passed, i realized how meticulously everything was planned to build her off screen persona
Recently she even spoke how other actresses copied her namaste style and temple visiting
Which further solidified that for them maybe even these pure auspicious things are also somewhere a tool of gaining connectivity with audience
Everything is PR work that they can stay limelight, and Karan Johor behind it, giving them opportunities, these star kids don’t have talent or audience didn’t welcome them, in fact I don’t know whether they have business like oTt, but they keep getting movies and getting flops.
OMG she is such a pick me. In a recent interview she spoke like she invented saying Namaste and wearing Indianwear at the Airport.
I feel she should accept now that she can’t act. Take Twinkle Khanna’s example. She was a failure as an actress but now she is doing so good. Sara is intelligent, educated, may be her talent lies somewhere else. She should find that.
Also I have always believed an actor is as good as the director. Rituparno Gosh even made Ria Sen give a stellar performance in Noukadubi. But unfortunately even good directors couldn’t extract a good performance from Sara. We love her offscreen

Janvi and sara are on the same career path. Both of them don't know how to act, doesn't show any sign of improvement and still getting good projects to work on. Thanks to the supporting cast who made those movies bearable.

Now Jahnvi is trying to penetrate Telugu industry like Mrunal did where a movie with Ram Charan announced yesterday, movie with NTR will release later this year and one with Akhil (Nagarjuna's son) is in pipeline. She can't speak proper hindi (courtesy: Bawaal movie), I wonder how her Telugu turns out to be.
Mrunal has already done 2 movies, but they were with Tier-2 heroes, whereas first couple of Jahnvi's movies are with Tier-1 RRR dudes (The Nepo Privilege)

Agree with your opinion. Sara's acting is terrible in this movie. She don't do any justice for this role. There are times her dialogue delivery and body language is not matching. The same expression in every movie and she will continue getting an opportunity which is sad for the audience.

Katrina has charisma.. she def had the language barrier issue early on but then her dancing, beauty, the kind of roles she chose felt apt. Now as she has become older, Merry Christmas was a good movie.. I also liked her in movies like Ajab prem, Ek tha tiger and such films.. she knew what shes good at, capitalised on it and didn’t try to mislead the audience into thinking something else.. She is honest and hardworking

Ek Thi Dayaan till date remains my underrated favorite. . I have never seen such a solid first half of any movie. It was such an amazing one. Had they worked a bit on the climax, it would have been such a great movie. Kanan Iyer, please bring out movies from that genre.
It really does go downhill in its second half tho. Had so much potential to be a home run!
I feel that even the movie Haunted had potential to be a very good movie if they had worked on script and hired good actors. Songs were amazing and ending was also emotional.

You're most certainly not a hater wrt Sara, I felt the exact same way as your starting statements when I watched murder mubarak. She's genuinely so damn bad she can pull down any scene she's a part of by her rigid "acting". Even her fellow nepo crew is better than her. She can't display auras, can't emote, can't express herself, hell she even can't be convincing when she was supposed to "walk" seductively in her opening shot of murder mubarak. It's hard to watch her stuff, the directors/creators need to stop fooling the audience and Sara needs to have some shame

Atleast deepika after her first few films realized she needed acting lessons n took it . She was not half as bad as Sara at the beginning of her career n yet she had the self awareness to get better n took it. Or atleast for the time being take up roles which are short n supporting the hero role , so tat she gets to learn more until she s good enuf to take such character biopic roles. Even deepika had memorable performances in the initial stage of her career. They weren't substantial roles but she never gave a laughable/cringy performance. Whereas Sara doing female led movies that too a biopic and then messing it up. She's putting too much on her plate.
She was a good actor just somehow got overshadowed by the likes of saif and srk ... she basically had the Shahid kapoor problem but she was smart enough and actually had a script sense unlike sahid .... and made a smart move by playing a supporting Veronica in cocktail that changed her carrer

Honestly i think alia got extremely lucky. If you watch her initial movies those were equally bad it's just that during those times there wasn't so much of speculation and ott platforms was not popular to make the common mass realise how bad she actually was. But the good part about her is just like kareena she eventually got better gives out average performance atleast in the best scripts around which makes her seem versatile but it's mainly the scripts. Her best movies till date have been great scripts where the story itself is the hero. Don't be fooled for once that she is some acting demigod of sorts. Remember how kalank and sadak tanked because they weren't good scripts.

By 2016 she had proved herself with Udta Punjab and Dear Zindagi. I don't think that's just luck. Give credit where it is due..
@@CinemaLover-en4je udta punjab had a solid cast and each and every person outdid her especially kareena and shahid her over the top pr hyped her up almost making it sound like she alone carried the movie just like they did it for RRR or Gully Boy. 2 states was a very very successful book in India at that time so it was bound to do well in no universe was she convincing as a tamil girl they should have casted an actual tamil girl to potray that. Dear zindagi was a joke in the name of depression her potrayal turned such a beautiful script into a sobo drama. Again stressing the fact that she isn't bad either but she is just average like many other average actresses. The scripts she gets is great not her particularly.
Kirti Sanon, Radhika Madan or Sanya Malhotra, maybe even Shraddha Kapoor could have been a great choice for this role.

Sara is the perfect example of someone who repeatedly gets projects that she does not have the skillset to deliver and PR/media tries to convince us that she is a good actor because she is a hard worker. Sara to be very honest is the most weak star kid, Janvi kapoor (may be not as good as Alia) has sincerity in front of camera , ananya even though, is good with the role of playing herself, is easy infront of camera..... Sara lacks every nuances of an actress. Some actors are so effortless, they make it look easy.... But Sara ali khan makes it look so hard... Her stiff body language, stiff dialogue delivery are just not made for acting.....

If there had been any other actor in the place of Sara in the movie Love Aaj kal, and given a laugh worthy performance like that, they would never have made it to their next film. The title "The curious case of Sara Ali Khan" is absolutely bang on.
Unpopular Opinion: Ananya Pandey is going to be the 'next big thing' in the long run. She has shown the right improvement in her craft with every movie and was actually good in Gehraaiyan & Kho Gaye hum kahan. Lineup seems interesting. Her stardom will rise gradually.

No hate towards any actor, but as an audience, I don't feel connected to Sara Ali Khan's character portrayal. Judging solely based on acting, I feel that Ananya Pandey's performance in "Kho Gaye Hum Kahan" made me connect, but Sara has failed to impress in every movie.
If you are a starkid or a nepokid, no matter what the connections will fall in line. If one fails in solo lead, pair her with a big hero, fails again, give her ott rout, fail again send her in South masala movies, fail again set her in big ensembles. The entire chain will work day & night. It's rigged. Most of the people don't have any problem with talented insiders, but if one is blocking a seat by delivering constant mediocrity, its a shame and says a lot about why there is and will be constant hatred towards them

To be honest I love watching Sara's interaction with other people in interviews and her looks as she resembles so much to her beautiful mother . She could be really a good youtuber and showcasing her interactions with other people rather than trying to swim in the ocean of Bollywood.
