I can totally relate to this song. I was drowning in addiction and depression, I've attempted suicide 3 times. I took 150 sleeping pills, but God WOKE me up. That's just one of the many time's God has kept me alive. He pulled me from death and gave me life. God is so good. I owe all to my prison shaking savior, and I love Him so deeply. Thank you Jesus for what you've done, are doing, and for what you will do.
Larry O'neal, I too know what you was going through, and the feelings bc I suffered with addiction and alcoholism for over 20 yrs. I overdosed numerous times, crashed cars and tore my family apart and I finally it all caught up to me and I spent time in jail. And while in there is when I met Terry, he came from a local church in Sunday's to do bible study. Tbh I went to bible study just to do something different, over months time I heard Terry's story and the life he lived was crazy and I never would've guest he lived that way and I seen Terry's passion for the Lord and I knew I wanted to know what he new, so I started asking questions and learning about Jesus and what He did for us, and the joy and peace He can bring us we just trust in Him. I ended up surrendering my life to Him , I knew I needed the Lord and He loves us all no matter what and he kept you Larry Oneal alive bc He has better plan for you. Well Jarod I can tell you when I first felt his presence of His love in me was immediately after the Minister Tom Smith finished my salvation, I will never forget for that moment I felt this overwhelming peace, and I cried and at that moment I was praying and I felt as if someone was hugging/holding me around my shoulders and that was Lord telling me that He was present and everything was going to be all right bc He is here now with me and trusting in Him now. Now with the power of the Lord standing beside me I just want to spread the word. My family and friends knew the old Jason and the man I used to be, even after a year with the Lord softening my families hearts and my true friends and for them to see how He has worked in helping me get my life back. As said in Philippians 4:13 " I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me"... And Psalms 27:1 says " The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?...I pray and read my bible everyday and I know that when I maybe struggling with something, I just turn to Him in prayer and turn it over to Him, and he opens the doors for me to walk through. I share my testimony quite often, especially when it's in front of old acquaintances who was around me in my old life. When they see and hear me and I share how the Lord has worked in my life. They can't believe it's me. I just tell them to give God a try, bc they know we tried Satan's way and what did that get us, broken dreams, broken families, an addiction, and a criminal record, I tell them that Satan is the master manipulater and that he lied to them, to me. I then tell them look we went this way and you see what's happend. Ok now let's try God's way,and if you turn your life over to Him, read your bible and get into church and be around Godly people and I promise if you do that, you will see how much your life will change and the doors will open by His grace. The struggle is real for millions of people who are addicted to substances and suicidal. Not only am I in recovery myself, but I work at a psych hospital on the dual diagnosis unit. A friend recently died in a tragic accident in Yosemite. He had posted that I Am A Child Of God was his favorite church song. I looked it up and found your live worship at a prison of that song. I was so moved by your willingness to go to the prison. It’s so beautiful. I cry every time I watch it. All I see is the love of Jesus. My dad went to jail for abusing me as a young girl. Wow what a beautiful and powerful testimony all for God's glory, PRAISE JESUS!!!!! Proof that we are never too far gone and His grace is more than sufficient. I so appreciate your music and talents and gifts God has blessed you with, its truly helped me more than words can ever say!!! Youre honestly my favorite Christian musician lately. I can relate in the fact I grew up in a Christian home going to church every Sunday and called myself a Christian but most definitely was not living for Jesus one bit nor did i have a personal relationship with Him!! I was such a hopeless helpless desperate slave to sin, soooo lost, empty, broken and alone. I chose to go down every single path Satan offered me pretty much, until I was truly saved at 30 years old back in April of last year 2021. Talk about chains and bondage on just about every level you could possibly imagine, BUT GOD!!!!! I had a radical encounter with Jesus when He said enough is enough and SHOOK ME TO THE CORE!!! I was starting to go down the deep dark rabbit hole of the occult. I had many demonic encounters, was a second away from taking my own life multiple times. I truly have no words for the radical transformation and deliverance and being born again through Jesus, but I finally know freedom I've been so desperate for my entire life along with hope joy peace and love and all the goodness God provides beyond words. I spent my entire life desperately searching for love and fulfillment in all the wrong places due to not really having a relationship with my earthly father or getting his attention or approval. Everytime i went after all the worldly stuff i ended up worse off each time. I was very heavily addicted to pills, heroin, and alcohol for 13 years, which led me to incarceration for a year in 2013, suffered from many mental health issues, severely medicated for 16 years which God has freed me from and off ALL meds for about 7 months now HALLELUJAH!!! I could (and will be) write a book about all that Jesus has done in my life, that's only a fraction!! All the glory praise and honor truly to OUR KING AND LORD AND SAVIOR!!!

Zach, this is a truly moving song, one that speaks to every man & woman's soul. I am a 64 year old man, broken & lost, desperately struggling to maintain my faith in the Lord. Unfortunately, three years ago (*November of 2015) my wife of 39+ years decided to divorce me. Needless to say it has rocked my world and caused me to question God and my faith. Well on another note, I am an older person that was saved 30 years ago, always listened to southern gospel, love the Lord, but did not like contemporary music at all. I heard chain breaker and fell in love with that song and I just bought your CD and play it more than any of my other CD's you won me over!! I learnt this song while on the Emmaus walk. I listen to it almost daily. I would like to thank Zach for doing God's Will and sharing his testimony. I was a truck driver or for 18 years. I've been clean off my addiction now for five months. Only by the grace of God. But Zach's song chain breaker was and has been a huge help to me. So thank you Zach. Your music is so encouraging, uplifting and AMAZING I really truly can’t thank you enough for helping me through the worst time in my life. I lost my 21 year old son in 2013 and after a couple of years started to realize I had two daughters that needed me and a husband that did as well. I knew that with the Lord, my husband & my two beautiful daughters beside me I could get through it. I I started listening to way FM & KLove constantly. I needed uplifting & encouragement and most of all HOPE in what I was watching or listening too or reading....I had been a Christian just about my whole life then. However, trying to cope and grieve and really just even breathe I didn’t understand why my son why my family so there were so many great and wonderful songs that helped me through it. Music has always been important to me. And when I started listening to those two radio stations there were several songs that truly spoke to me & that helped me just when I needed them most. Then I listened to your testimony. I want you to know you are touching the heart of at least two prisoners with your music. God is using your songs to touch and minister to them. As a minister myself, I understand the desire to serve God in such a way that the changes in lives point all the glory to our Savior. And your music is and I want to praise him for your obedience.

A friend recently died in a tragic accident in Yosemite. He had posted that I Am A Child Of God was his favorite church song. I looked it up and found your live worship at a prison of that song. I was so moved by your willingness to go to the prison. It’s so beautiful. I cry every time I watch it. All I see is the love of Jesus. My dad went to jail for abusing me as a young girl. I had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with him and I hope he receives God’s love and salvation someday.

I so appreciate your music and talents and gifts God has blessed you with, its truly helped me more than words can ever say!!! Youre honestly my favorite Christian musician lately. I can relate in the fact I grew up in a Christian home going to church every Sunday and called myself a Christian but most definitely was not living for Jesus one bit nor did i have a personal relationship with Him!! I was such a hopeless helpless desperate slave to sin, soooo lost, empty, broken and alone. I chose to go down every single path Satan offered me pretty much, until I was truly saved at 30 years old back in April of last year 2021. Talk about chains and bondage on just about every level you could possibly imagine, BUT GOD!!!!! I had a radical encounter with Jesus when He said enough is enough and SHOOK ME TO THE CORE!!! I was starting to go down the deep dark rabbit hole of the occult. I had many demonic encounters, was a second away from taking my own life multiple times. I truly have no words for the radical transformation and deliverance and being born again through Jesus, but I finally know freedom I've been so desperate for my entire life along with hope joy peace and love and all the goodness God provides beyond words. I spent my entire life desperately searching for love and fulfillment in all the wrong places due to not really having a relationship with my earthly father or getting his attention or approval. Everytime i went after all the worldly stuff i ended up worse off each time. I was very heavily addicted to pills, heroin, and alcohol for 13 years, which led me to incarceration for a year in 2013, suffered from many mental health issues, severely medicated for 16 years which God has freed me from and off ALL meds for about 7 months now HALLELUJAH!!! I could (and will be) write a book about all that Jesus has done in my life, that's only a fraction!! All the glory praise and honor truly to OUR KING AND LORD AND SAVIOR!!!

I am a 64 year old man, broken & lost, desperately struggling to maintain my faith in the Lord.
Unfortunately, three years ago (*November of 2015) my wife of 39+ years decided to divorce me.
Needless to say it has rocked my world and caused me to question God and my faith.

Well on another note, I am an older person that was saved 30 years ago, always listened to southern gospel, love the Lord, but did not like contemporary music at all. I heard chain breaker and fell in love with that song and I just bought your CD and play it more than any of my other CD's you won me over!! Thank you Zach for sharing your story and doing the work of the Lord. I have always been a believer in God. However, not until I went to a concert and heard your music in person that I felt truly lifted in my soul beyond the pain and abuse that I have endured.
Your music is so encouraging, uplifting and AMAZING I really truly can’t thank you enough for helping me through the worst time in my life. I lost my 21 year old son in 2013 and after a couple of years started to realize I had two daughters that needed me and a husband that did as well. I knew that with the Lord, my husband & my two beautiful daughters beside me I could get through it. I I started listening to way FM & KLove constantly. I needed uplifting & encouragement and most of all HOPE in what I was watching or listening too or reading....I had been a Christian just about my whole life then. However, trying to cope and grieve and really just even breathe I didn’t understand why my son why my family so there were so many great and wonderful songs that helped me through it. Music has always been important to me. And when I started listening to those two radio stations there were several songs that truly spoke to me & that helped me just when I needed them most. I love so many Christian artists but you are one of my absolute FAVORITE Christian artists. Thank you for all you do and putting out awesome & amazing music. Then I listened to your testimony. I want you to know you are touching the heart of at least two prisoners with your music. God is using your songs to touch and minister to them. As a minister myself, I understand the desire to serve God in such a way that the changes in lives point all the glory to our Savior. And your music is and I want to praise him for your obedience.
