He's the only brand ambassador I've ever met that actively encouraged me (and my partner) to down shots of single malt! Very charismatic guy though, to be fair.
A friend of mine bought me a bottle and I’m so excited to try it. Can anyone tell me if the blue label is barreled for a specific amount of time? Thanks.
Blue Label contains blends of different Scotches between the ages of 8 and 20 years the last I remember checking but when it comes to a blended whisky the youngest whisky in the blend will be the final products age statement (at least according to whisky snobs)
Drinking a dram you of blue I got as a gift, got to be honest for the hype and price it is underwhelming. I was very exited to try this whisky, but let down a little overall. Recommended Glenfiddich 18 instead. It tastes like if Chivas Regal had a smother better finish, with a hint of vanilla custard. Worth a try once.
The world’s best-selling Scotch brand is, of course, Diageo’s blended Scotch whisky brand Johnnie Walker. This is of course because they make what real people like to drink. Not some super peated fan boy hipster whiskey of the month.
This is a bling blended whisky for those that aren't necessarily appreciative of a good malt - just my opinion but far better malts out there for the money required for this blend - pretty bottle, good marketing, lots of hype
Well, one could say Rolex is overrated, there's far better watches for less €, or BMW is overrated because you could get a car for less € that is actually more reliable
For whiskey enthusiasts, blue label can come across as underwhelming. They then attribute that to a lack of quality, and over inflated price point. The fact of the matter is, the blue label blend is a blend of scotch whiskeys dating 24-60 years old. Its flavors are subtle, which makes it more enjoyable to savour.
He got this wrong...you start appreciating the colour of the whisky first, not the nose. Since Johnny Blue has colorant added then makes sense not to mention the colour of this whisky.
The emperor’s new clothes of whisky. Blue Label is the whisky a non whisky drinker buys to impress his ‘non whisky drinking brand obsessed’ acquaintances. Then they all pretend to taste how expensive it is.
Lol. This guy works for Diageo, the owners of JW. Ralfy's honest and has a good palate. Check his channel for a real review. I use JW products as a way of assessing the palates of whisky reviewers. Not that tests are valid when it comes to a paid shill.
I would like to see the whiskey experts blindfolded and try to identify different fruits. I believe they mix in a rather high dose of BS in their reviews.
These guys love to hear themselves talk.
That bottle just mesmerizes me!! It look so beautiful.
Nah! Other brands bottle design are way better.

I prefer the Johnnie Blue chug right from the bottle. Bottoms up!
Plenty cola! X
Jim Beverage?
I prefer the green label
Is it Smokey? I found gold label too Smokey. How is the green?...and I'm talking about the scotch..
Green label is the best imo - it's the only one thats a malt!
@@AlReyn another one that’s good & it’s my second Choice after the green label it’s the monkey 🐒 shoulder malt scotch whisky.

Awesome scotch. Definitely my favorite of the johnnie walker line
Try JW Green and the new 18....they're very nice too at much less cost.
@@benfranklin3638 I had a bottle of green not too long ago. Not horrible, but it's way too harsh for my taste. I do like 18 though.
@@GrAPeBombZ Try the green again but add a little cold water and let it sit...it gets much smoother!
@@benfranklin3638 I'll try that.
Drink it already!!
willl there be purple label ever?
There’s no compare, it’s the only choice...

Nothing like a good conversation with some Whisky. By the way Collin Dunn´s sleeves of his blazer are way too long for the buttons.

100% Over Hyped. This is a bottle for 'Show' - not for true whisky enthusiasts

@@AddiLS one could say that and one would be right

a great whiskey, just not worthy of the price. unless the price doesn't matter and this can be a daily drink
Don’t hate! Congratulate!
Someone can't afford blue label 😅
I think yes there are better whisky for the price. But it doesn’t deserve the hate i gets so often.
I agree 100%, never met a malt head who buys / drinks this stuff
