It's just a pretty bad movie, really. It was just entertaining to us as children because any movie that was cartoons was interesting. I watch it now and think how bad this movie is compared to many others made by animation studios.
As I kid I watched it non-stop. As an adult I found it truly interesting. I see the dark part about being hard to be a single father to a child and still getting over your loss and you don't know where to start being there for them. To me it's still entertaining and funny. And has an interesting society criticism as well.

For those who see this movie so bad, even after childhood, it was never supposed to be about a little chicken being bullied and abused by his father. The studio interfered with the movie in production to try to replicate Shrek. Mark Dindal did not want aliens in this.
It was originally about an overreacting female chicken that went to a summer camp in order to overcome her fears, only to then discover that the camp is being run by literal wolves in sheep's clothing and having to save everyone because of it. This plot may sound a little cheesy, but I think that version would have been even better than the movie we ended up having.

In the camp, however, she and her new friends end up stopping a pack of wolves impersonating the sheep counselors that plans on fattening up the campers so to eat them in a big feast afterwards. Abby Mallard, "The Ugly Duckling" was originally a male duck who was to be voiced by Sean Hayes. After the decision to turn Chicken Little into a male character, her love interest was likewise flipped into a girl then the role had to be recast with an actress.
I honestly really like this movie. Even though the story could be a bit more, I find it a little more relatable to real life. Like the school and the kids in it. Especially Fish. I can relate to him soo much I love it. And I always come back to this awesome ending scene and the ace in action game. It just.. I don't know.. This movie found it's way to my heart... :3
If they actually took time to develop the story and improve the animation, based on this clip, it would have turned out *PROFOUNDLY* better than what the actual movie resulted in.
Runt Of The Litter was made for fat jokes and is quite fond of making music references and pretty much has a song for any possible situation he finds himself in. Even the movie-within-movie version of himself at the end does this.
