    The Eachine T-28 Trojan has arrived ! They could not make the P-51 Mustang and F4U Corsair fast enough to keep up with demand. No surprise because they flew so well with the 3 mode stabilisation system. This is an iconic warbird of the 1940s/1950s. Enjoy !
    You get everything you need to fly the T-28 Trojan in the box with the exception of 4 AA batteries for the transmitter. You can buy the Corsair with either 2 or 3 batteries so you don't have to limit yourself to one flight. It is very easy to hand launch. Flies straight out of your hand with a gentle throw and flies on rails due to the onboard stabilisation system. Only use Expert mode if you are a genuine expert at flying RC aircraft. I found MIDD mode enough fun with the ability to pull loops and rolls but still with the stabilised mode turned on.
    This model is very resilient to any knocks. The propeller is designed to pop off and is easily clicked back in place. Despite that a spare propeller is included in the box.
    Filmed by Hazza for the 'Essential RC' TH-cam channel using the Panasonic AG-UX180 Pro 4K camcorder at our local model flying club. Dom on the sticks flying the Eachine Mini T-28 Trojan.

    Man I got to tell you, I love those little ready to fly jobbies. So easy, especially when I'm pressed for time. The XK series is awesome, the little A100 raptor, gets more flight time than anything I own, simply because it stays in my car, takes up no space, I can charge the batteries via USB, no radio set up, or weird characteristics, and its virtually impervious to injury. They have a new one, the XK A180. Would love to see you review that. I just wish they made more warbirds like this in the 600mm to 800mm range. The ones that dont take much work, get the most flight time from me.
    Love your channel!

    I just flew this aircraft today - first ever time flying any RC aircraft! It was a ton of fun. Ended up doing loops, rolls, stall turns etc. Only piled it into the ground twice!

      Same for me. First RC flight ever with F-4U. Mid mode is best for me. When I tried full manual (yesterday - second flight) was ok at altitude and I mostly stayed safe by switching to mid when I lost orientation. Got too cocky and broke my prop - darn! Hehehe
      Good thing it comes with a spair and I have an entire spare F-4U in my mancave just in case. 😁

    This one felt a little faster than the Mustang. I suspect the wing is a little thinner. Love it. Flies like a dream. I wasn't as satisfied with the Corsair, but I haven't tried playing with it's C/G yet. I've only moved pushrods so far. And I fly all these birds "wheels up" with no gear mounted. That's only proper ;-)
    Happy flying!

    I've had mine a while now and it flies very well for such a tiny model.
    I've put mine on a Jumper multi-protocol module (V761 Ch1 - Rudder. Ch2 - Elevator. Ch3 - Throttle. Ch4 - Rudder. Ch 5 3position switch for help level.) on my Horus transmitter, mainly because I have to fly with a tray because of hand problems)
    I find it needs a lot of rudder in turns to keep it close enough in to see it! I have the u/c fitted, mainly to protect the prop on landings. I usually underarm hand launch but it will take off easily on a hard surface - a touch and go has, so far, eluded me :)

    Recent releases of these Volantex V761 planes (Eachine is only 1 of many rebrands) now have motor failsafe if Tx signal lost. But check yours to make sure you do not have old stock.

      The f22 is my fav, in the ww2 series, I would have to say the t28. But if you want to fly with landing gear that doesn't make the plane look ridiculous the f4u is the best and the most stable is the p51 so keep that in mind

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It really is mostly down to personal taste. I'm mad for P-51s personally but they all fly well and not a huge difference between them in flight characteristics. As said P-51 is probably my favourite. Corsair and T-28 are slightly better in slow flight characteristics though but not by much. In MIDD mode all 3 of these RC warbirds fly very very well.

    I really like these little gyro jobs but my son and I found them very difficult to control in expert mode. Possibly because we're beginners but they just seem so twitchy and sensitive in expert. Fly lovely in medium. Would you agree ERC? Anyway to overcome this?

    • @EssentialRC
      @EssentialRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I 100% agree with you and do say in the video I prefer MIDD mode. I only discovered on the 2nd flight that you can actually pull loops and rolls in MIDD mode so I've no reason to use Expert mode. The control throws are too much in expert and it ends up being too sensitive and very difficult to fly unless you are used to making very small movements on the sticks. The only thing that could help is extending the length of the sticks. That would allow finer control. Personally I'm happy using MIDD mode and I'll have a lot of fun doing that.

    • @rcchronicles25
      @rcchronicles25 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@EssentialRC Awesome thanks, we'll stick to Midd mode too. You can do some nice aerobatics in Midd mode! We were pulling off loops and rolls and all sorts. Very cool little plane for the money. Cheers 👍

      I purchased the p-51D and truly enjoyed it. Except, I hit the stunt button and it flew off never to return. Totally lost control. Stabilizer kept is smooth and level and I never saw it again. The F4u is about half the plane as the p51 in my opinion. Its not as stable nor is it as controllable- meaning it makes wider turns and tends to be spooky in the the air. The P51 has a better, more solid feel to it. Wish I had my p51D back. My son has one and we compared side by side. He agrees with my assessment.
