  • I was on the first Aurigny flight from Guernsey to Jersey on 28th May 2019
GR680 at 0740 scheduled. It pushed early and arrived early.
G-HUET, the sole ATR42 operated by Aurigny.
There were only 12 pax, hopefully it will build up in the future.
It was a reletively long trip as it was Guernsey runway 27 to Jersey 26. 'S' shaped route, for 14 minutes. A long way off my fastest flight taking just 6 minutes in the old Shorts 360.
Captain David Warren was in charge.
It's nice to be able to fly the flag to Jersey again. Not as exciting as going on the Tris though :-)
A word of warning (and applies to Blueislands and Flybe as well) As this route is entirely outside of the EU, no compensation is payable as per the EU261 regulation.

Nice to see this flight back again. Will be interesting to see how popular it will get given the amount of competition

Interesting, I didn't realise Aurigny had stopped flying the GCI-JER route. My second ever flight was on that same route on one of Aurigny's Trislanders back in 1979.

Yes they stopped when they retired the Trislanders. Went into code share with Blue Islands. Blue Islands then dumped the code share when they threw their lot in with Flybe. Now Flybe are in trouble I have no sympathy at all with Blue Islands. Aurigny decided to come back on the route as there was a clamour for competition. Hoping Blue Islands gets stuffed.
