We opted for a 12,000 BTU because of the size of the cooler. Honestly though, in the summertime it could really use a 15,000 to help keep the compressor from running as much.
It all depends on where your box is located and how well it’s sealed. How many times a day do u plan on opening the door? And when u do, are you putting hot or warm food in there. So I would go as big as u can if you are going to attempt to do this incorrect method of use of a high temp machine for a medium temp application. The warranty would be void immediately. And more importantly the poor compressor will be flooded its whole life washing the oil out of it. I’ve been doing refrigeration for over 20 years and I’m sorry bro, ur video was ligit, but I do not think this is a good idea. But I hope it works out for the best. God bless you and your family.
So when it’s time to clean it u gotta take it out and disassemble it all, leaving a hole in ur cold box for quite some time to do so……..it’s not practical at that point
@@IttyBittyMicroFarm a window unit? Yes u do. In operation, a window unit blows the air which way(when you are outside)?the condenser doesn’t get dirty on the outside, only on the inside. U must take the compete casing off of a window unit in order to clean the condenser coil.

Hey nice video! Could you tell me what saw and saw blade you used?
We are using a circular saw with a carbide blade. You could also use a diamond blade. The key is to go slow and allow the blades to do the work. 👍
How is it cooling
Excellent!! Keeps everything at the perfect temperature & recovers nicely even when opened a few times in a row with loading/unloading. 👍👍
What size AC unit for btu? Do you need a specific size? Or all depends on building size

I'm not sure what you mean... you don't have to completely disassemble an AC unit to clean it.
