Hey, I recognise that little bivvy, although I didn't experience such good weather. A very spectacular part of the world. I wish I'd thought of a chopper!
Looked like some tahr maybe have been around one part there, if going back there & keen it may be a place something interesting may show up if looking hard enough. Good filming, giving a look at the country & what it's currently like. Bucks will not usually be near the nannies that time of year, often the opposite side of the creek though.
Wonderful video, and great hunting country there. I worked in that very area for NZ Forest Service in the early 1980s and worked on that bivy a few times, but not many animals there then due to helicopter hunting still being viable economically. Enjoy watching these Canterbury stags in velvet, taken this summer: th-cam.com/video/6Qkltifa5Ps/w-d-xo.html
Mint vid. Dad / daughter time is precious. Us Dad’s won’t be around forever unfortunately!!! Cheers. 🍻😎
Gotta make the most of it whilst you can that’s for sure! Glad you enjoyed the video mate
Another great video, thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Nice work, really enjoyed that! It's wonderful that you can share these experiences with your Dad, so special. Baby chamois are just the cutest!
Thanks Marc! Very lucky for sure! Yeah they’re cute animals for sure!
Good stuff! No better place to create memories and build character. Keep living the quality mountain life!
Thanks! That’s the plan!
Good shit Lucy, some real good info on long range shooting from your dad there. I will remember that stuff, catch up!
Good stuff team. Nothing like a bit of rock shootin to keep ya technique up to it.🤙🤙
Yup certainly tested the technique with that wind!!
Nice, roll on the roar 😎😎👍
Awesome video! What a cool place to head in to, surely a big buck holding up in there somewhere hey..
He would’ve been hiding in some dead ground, safe from site 🤣

Can imagine it would be an interesting night there in rough weather! Choppers are certainly helpful when your time poor!
Good stuff awesome country 👍

Normally don’t see them over that side, not to say you get the odd one floating through. Thanks, wicked wee spot!
Chances are you're thinking "Man it'd be nice to see an animal on the _______" every 5 minutes. At least that's what I do.
Yup your right there!
Hey what’s the app you guys use to do your calculations for the long range shots ?
Hey mate strelok pro is what we use!
