This was my game man, told my brother to buy me Diddy Kong Racing for christmas and was disappointed when I got Extreme G. Then when I started playing Extreme G, ONE OF THE BEST RACING GAMES OF ALL TIME FOR ME MAN. Best decision my brother did for me, awesome game with awesome music :)
I remember renting this game and fell in love with the music and as a kid I was able to beat this game with no problems.Right now Im playing XGRA (Extreme-G Racing Association) awesome music also
Ya, I was looking into that too. I still would like to buy an actual N64. I was wondering about the Dazzle DVD Recorder for recording N64 gameplay, is that thing worth it? I've seen some poor reviews of this thing.
You know i had forgotten all about this game and watching this vid has brought back a few good memories, you do not hear much said about this game on forums and message boards but it i thought it was pretty good.
I don't know why, but when i was a kid, i always found the box art for Extreme G so fascinating.. The HUD, the screen shots of the game, but i think every game looked so fascinating on the box art when i was a kid and made me want to get all the games on N64. I only had NES as a kid so i was never up to date with technology. Any one else feel this?
I have this game! Everything he says about it is true. Memorization is key, especially since you can't even see 10 feet in front of you due to the "mist" that that era of consoles is known for having in pretty much every game. But once you get some hang of the game play (which I still haven't fully done, but I'm practicing some more) it really is loads of fun to play.
I finished both of these games on the extreme difficulty. The second one i found more challenging due to the tracks.. The music is amazing in these games your reviews are awesome, im loving them xDD
No problem. If you're trying to record directly from your home console you will need to get a PVR, they range from about $30-150 so the emulator option would be best.
probably in my top 5 games for n64. took a while for my friends to get as good as it as i was but they even struggled with diddy kong racing at the start...
which one o these was bestestest?? there was xgra and extreme g 3 wasnt there? i had this for a bit and didnt like how you could just slide around the edge of the track
Picked up a copy if this for $3!! i used to play it when i was younger and had lost my copy, good bargain. Also, they have XGIII for gamecube, and Mark, you should review that after XG2.
I remember this game! It was the shit. Recently got a hold a n64, have Golden eye, Quake 2 and SW:Rogue Squadron. Extreme G is on my list for sure. Thanks for the vid man.
Epic with the saying Extreme G Really enjoy the music give the feeling to race One my favorite racing games still can get blast playing the game Very Fun N64 Title and pretty underrating series while third game in the series in my favorite and see big improvement over the year of this series. Warning in my opinion I don’t like chances in second game feel like set down compare the first.
One of the best racing games ever made. That soundtrack... gosh I love it
Just got fired from a job. I played this game and forgot I got fired! Great Times!
Binge watching the old vids again. Can't believe the uploaded dates on these. Many good memories with this game.
I still love this game and still play it to this day.
Reminds me of pod racing. The sound of the engine humming is almost the same noise as in pod racing too.
This is a must play for (future) racing fans and N64, hell, even PSX fans alike. Thx CGR for retro-reviewing this forgotten gem.
Extreme G series is one to check out on the N64 for sure. Wish this series would be revived some day.
God, how I miss this man

I had so much fun with this game back in the day :-) Never understood why people didn't liked it
Buying and donating thru CGR is probably one of the most brilliant ways I've seen for supporting a show.
We need more racing games like these today!
Jovan Mitrić Try the game BLUR
Yea!
I used to get massive headaches playing this game as a kid.
Ahhaha same! That was such a great era. We're in our late 20s now that's fucked up 😅
My old favorite game
Oh my god this was my favorite game when I was little! Thanks so much for reviewing it!
I had X-G3 for the cube and loved the levels but all the bikes were the same which was sad.
I remember renting this game and fell in love with the music and as a kid I was able to beat this game with no problems.Right now Im playing XGRA (Extreme-G Racing Association) awesome music also
I played this so much that i still hear that music in my head sometimes...
had some good times with this series, some extremely good times :)
Ya, I was looking into that too. I still would like to buy an actual N64. I was wondering about the Dazzle DVD Recorder for recording N64 gameplay, is that thing worth it? I've seen some poor reviews of this thing.

I want to see all the outtakes :c
Still one of the best racing games I played on any system.
How do you record N64 gameplay? I've been looking around for a while now and can't figure out how to do this.
This game got me into techno music...
same o/
I remember the Extreme G racing game I had on the ps2. XGIII: Extreme G Racing. Really fun game. Still have my copy!
I don't know why, but when i was a kid, i always found the box art for Extreme G so fascinating.. Man... I Love this game! used to play all day long back in 90s
@IneComCompany have you reviewed micro maniacs for the ps1
still have it and still use it. cant be beat.
Dang memories of X-mas 1997, the handling was always hard to master on this game, but the music was a first for the N64.
Was that a Bike Khan?

This game is how we used to separate the boys from the men.
Oh my god, this game brings me back to my child hood
love the vintage u87 microphone.
Gotta love that classic N64 fog. Kids these days they don't know, they missed out.
I remember this game I played it with my little. We loved the battle mode it was awsome!
there's actually a third and fourth game of XG on xbox and gamegube and Ps2
CrimsonShadow 11 whoa!
XenojinX lol big late to party aren’t I ?
No problem. If you're trying to record directly from your home console you will need to get a PVR, they range from about $30-150 so the emulator option would be best.
This... Game.... Ahhhh good memories!
This was in my top 3 for n64. Spent many hours on this game. Ahh the good ol days
One of my favorite games growing up 👏👏 but seriously, I had no idea there was an extreme g 2!!! 😁
And extreme g 3 for Gamecube and extreme g racing asociacion
XG3 on the Vectrex ?? Sounds good :PP
Great, thanks! I will definitely try that.
yo mark when are you going to review majoras mask or dk64.
The "Extreme G" voice reminded me that we haven't seen much of Viral Dog lately.
always wanted to this game but never got to it, gonna get it soon.
Makes me wish there was an "Extreme-Road Rash" for the home consoles, and PC!
I remember playing this when I was 9 all day long
probably in my top 5 games for n64. took a while for my friends to get as good as it as i was but they even struggled with diddy kong racing at the start...
I hope you review XGRA for Gamecube! It's the sequel to Extreme-G and Extreme-G 2!
has he done one on conker bad fur day?
which one o these was bestestest?? there was xgra and extreme g 3 wasnt there? i had this for a bit and didnt like how you could just slide around the edge of the track
I used to have Xtreme G 3 on N64. It was good fun, but the passwords were a pain to input for the unlocked stages!
Can you review Roll Cage for the PS1? Really good title.
Ahh yes, the Drum'n'Bass days. That was my damn childhood. Luckily my metal head uncle was there to help me out.
Man, I LOVED breaking the sound barrier in this game!
Man I used to love this game
Finally, the classics.
This was the first game I ever played that really felt fast, warp speed fast.
When is the Intergalactic Space Arcade going to purchase a Wii U?
Hahaha, I still have this game. Anyone remember Chameleon Twist??! That game was super hard and weird as hell.
SO MUCH FUCKING GOOD MEMORIES
Damn how I miss this game!!!
I wish I had a classic game room!
Loved this game.
XGIII (for the PS2) is really good too. Really great graphics/speed for a 2001 game.
Loving the N64 reviews!
Why is this not on the vectrex????
ahh the N64 , easily my fav console of the 90s
I just DL the GameCube version of this like a week ago. Reminds me of F-Zero GX.
I had this game back in the day and played it a lot. It's too foggy and frustrating, but it was fun.
Batman's bike in the Dark Knight looks like a lot with Extreme G's ones.
You should review XG2, my personal favorite in the series.
"32X for life!" Best quote ever XD
Extreme G used to open for Vanilla ice
Don't know about XG-1, but XG-2 suffered from intense slowdown, yet it was still cool as fudge
is it bad i can still remember the master cheat code? 61ggb5 :/
I was just thinking about this game today.
Best motorcycle game I've ever played... played it for hours on end
don't forget the Puzzle Bobble N64 games too.
this looks so fun i must get it
Ohya, underrated series!
Love this ...countless hours of gameing awsomenezsss
the manners on that thing XD
Before there was wipeout. Good review, this game was strangely addictive.
I use to love this game as a kid but I didn't have a memory card so I would spend hours a day trying to finish the game in one go. I did a few times.
Picked up a copy if this for $3!! i used to play it when i was younger and had lost my copy, good bargain. Also, they have XGIII for gamecube, and Mark, you should review that after XG2.
I swear..... That reverb and delay had me about to die.
XGIII and XGRA are my favorites but the N64 classics remain two of the best games the console had to offer.
Just bought it today! Can't wait til my oldest nephew tries it out! Anyway all hail Lord Karnage!
He tried it and it was too intense for him lol.
I remember this game! It was the shit. Recently got a hold a n64, have Golden eye, Quake 2 and SW:Rogue Squadron. Extreme G is on my list for sure. Thanks for the vid man.
Emulator? You're doing it wrong.
yeah cuz n64 emulation is not very good
Epic with the saying Extreme G
Really enjoy the music give the feeling to race
One my favorite racing games still can get blast playing the game
Very Fun N64 Title and pretty underrating series while third game in the series in my favorite and see big improvement over the year of this series.
Warning in my opinion I don’t like chances in second game feel like set down compare the first.
I was assuming he was referring to an emulator. But yeah i think what you are referring to is called a PVR.
I'm surprised you hadn't played an extreme-g game yet. XGRA is my favorite of them, but the original isn't far behind.
I forgot how good this game was!
So many feels
I loved this game, the multyplayer was awesome!
Nice music!
