Highly slept-on walkin-around arcade shooter (a la Outzone) made by Moss, the former Raiden devs. The gist is that you shoot stuff with different weapons (including Raiden toothpaste laser), save kids (3 per level), collect little medals for points, and kick the shit out of everything, including bullets, with your cool kick move.
Kicking, in fact, plays a significant role in scoring, as anything destroyed simultaneously by a single kick nets you 200, 400, 800, 1600 points, continuing on up the more things you nail. In later levels, the crowds of dudes around you are massively dense; and you could just mow them down with your gun, but why not try kicking like, 15 of them at once for a crapload of points? The answer is, of course, that it's highly dangerous to do so, as although there's no collision with human enemies in this game, any dude that gets close enough will whack you with a pipe.
Did I mention that you can kick bullets out of the air, or kick right through them? If that wasn't player-friendly enough, there are tons of dropped charge items in this game that restock your very-powerful bomb move.
The most surprising thing about Gundhara is, for its time, how fair and reasonable it is, exhibiting very little of the brutality of the Raiden games (checkpoint system, super-fast bullets, etc.) and instead being content to be a silly, dumb, fun romp.
