Driving down to perdido key in June. Plan on fishing every day as much as possible. Any good spots or advice for that area?
Sorry man, I really don’t know much at all about Perdido Key. I’ve fished their once is all.
What artificials do you recommend off the beach in Destin?
Artificials off the beach this time of year is tough. Your best best is gonna be a pompano or bottom rig with fish bites or other fresh dead bait. Big bull reds and big black drum come through but really you gotta sight cast em with artificials or you could be blind casting to empty water all day. If you do use artificials I would recommend something with scent like gulp or fight club in paddle tail or swim bait. Since reds and black drums use scent to feed I think that would be your best bet. If it was later in the year and the water was warmer I would say a big spoon.
The Lawless Tide I’ll be there in late April, does that change anything?
Adventures With AK depends on the water temperature, I would have some spoons handy!
Adventures With AK you can always have one line in the water with fish bites sitting on bottom and be throwing artificials with another rod while waiting on the fish bites to hook up.
