This is the kind of stuff I’ve been talking about for years. The problem we have isn’t that medical procedures/medicine actually cost a ton of money to do/make, but the healthcare/insurance industry have become so over-inflated and profit driven that they’ve made a ton of care almost inaccessible to the average person. We don’t need full on “free” healthcare or anything, but the government does need to step in and put caps on how much these companies are able to profit. I think this solves the issue of America becoming “socialist” or whatever boomers complain about, while also greatly dropping healthcare prices to the point that the average person can actually comfortably afford them. Of course, nothing is perfect, so it will take time and effort to actually fix the shit show that is the healthcare/insurance industry in the United States. This gives me hope.
@medojed8266 I like to believe that small acts against the machine can inspire much larger movements. This may be small but it shows us, the people, that it can be done. With enough public outcry, we very well may be able to convince more politicians to sign more acts like this in to law. Not just for life saving medicines or medical procedures, but for everything.
@@PoorlyPlaying Sure, healthcare is one of the biggest problems you guys have but nevertheless there are countless things that were not fixed yet and are getting worse each month or each year of them being allowed to deteriorate
@ I don’t disagree, but I feel like that’s because people just don’t think change is possible. I think if we showed people that change can happen, then change will follow. Maybe I’m too optimistic, but I like to hope for a better future.

Yeah except this should have been a thing for decades. And even then this fixes a slight portion of problems. America is quite literally sinking.

@@PoorlyPlaying you're not too optimistic, and you're right. It's just there aren't that many people who are willing to fight for better life
