I'll always have a special place in my heart for Marina since she was the first major character I tested and I feel like her gameplay systems are some of the deepest and most interesting in the game! Curious what you think of the other new character inclusions, too! Thanks for exposing Smash Remix to more people-- I really hope more players try it out as it's an incredible labor of love; the work that goes into each and every character and feature is absolutely wild.
I've read an article on Twitter that TH-cam's lousy rules shut down smash remixes TH-cam channel because it had some "harmful and dangerous policy" which is freaking BS! But hey, on the bright side, at least it's not Nintendo's DMCA legal team this time.
I'd love to see a video covering the backported characters, and what makes them different from the ones in the official games-or _Project M/+_ if applicable. Also, kudos for including a melody from _Sonic Jam_ of all things. That game has some sleeper bangers.
Speaking of Slippy I still hope that Remix adds in Krystal From Star Fox as a playable fighter Since her game, Dinosaur Planet, was supposed to come out on N64

it’s *technically* originating from an old cult classic indie game called Tower of Heaven (which shares a composer with Rivals of Aether hence its inclusion) but the depiction in Smash Remix is obviously based on its Rivals appearance

Now then, as you can guess, the reason the Mad Piano is banned is mainly because of it being a Boss character. The same can be said for super sonic and Giga bowser. Im not sure if Metal Mario is banned because of him being a boss character. Ive seen that the "Player" version of Metal Mario doesn't have nearly as much launch resistance as the boss version. I think the player version of Metal Mario still gets launched at later percents, maybe around bowser's launch threshold?

Speaking of Back Ported Character's Still hope they include Diddy Kong and King K Rool to where DK isn't all by himself in Smash 64 anymore That plus please someone on God's Green Earth! Add in some new DK characters we haven't seen in Smash before like Dixie Or Funky!!
I really want to see a video on the backported characters! And maybe even a 3rd video showing every else like stages (124 stages omg) items, music, all new game modes, the backported mechanics/techs from future Smash games, and more like even the little easter eggs and QoL features!
Just got this game for our locals N64 night / retro games night. This game is a hit! People are blown away by the content in this mod! Gives a lot of new life to the old console. 😊
I know my choice is weird but I’d like to see an Indie Game character such as Hat Kid from A Hat In Time playable in Smash Remix. A Hat in time was a 3d platform game taking ques from the N64 Era
Smash Remix is superb, in so many ways. The design, the balancing, the sheer technical skills that must have been required to reverse engineer the program and the various data formats. Definitely one of the best mods on any computer or console ever. And yes, Conker is my favourite character too! I'm still hoping that they add some more characters, though, especially ones who appear in N64 games, such as Joanna Dark, James Bond, Duke Nukem, Tal'Set and/or Joshua Fireseed ("I am Turok!"), etc.
Speaking of Melee Still hope that the game adds in these Melee characters- Peach Mr. Game And Watch And The Ice Climbers That plus throw in all the Trophies Melee had in Remix That plus rework Sheik in Remix to where she can switch between Zelda and Sheik Ect...........
Id honetsly love to see your thoughts on the back ported characters from melee to ultimate, since wario seems more wario land based and marth was originally meant to be in 64
Doesn't seem like Peppy and Slippy are still banned in tournaments, seeing regionals as recently as a month ago allowing them as the only "boss" characters

I wish they made "remixed" versions of the original cast to have more interesting moves or better stats as the new ones make them look boring and weak in comparison

If I remember right, I think Super Sonic's actually a boss character who may replace Metal Mario's spot sometimes.
Slippy also has a shine INFINITE. And his recovery is also a spike.
Super Sonic has a 2 frame jumpsquat.
Super Sonic also has no land lag in every of his moves 😂. Slippy doesn't have an infinite with his shine by the way idk where you took that.

I try to open it after patching to 1.5.0 and it keeps saying "error cannot open file" or "Not a valid N64 image" on PJ64
You need to make a video about the stages. The original only has one (that’s tournament legal).
