I looked at two You Tube presentations. One was the 8 minute intro and the other was the 3:22 sample from Nov 17, 2018 in Amsterdam. The eight minute overview uses the Nancy Leveson hated phrase, "Systems of Systems" which I agree with is redundant, improper, and alienates people. Thought your presentation style was fine. Showing one slide to me and another slide in the classroom not shared with me the viewer was distracting--same thing with the STPA 3:22 clip. What I saw was OK, but unclear if viewing your training would enable me to go and be successful at using STPA. If you can get rank and file safety managers to use STPA without the intellect of Dr. Leveson and Dr. Thomas, you've done your job. Some of Dr. Thomas' examples led me to believe that STPA is an expert's tool that he applies across a lot of disciplines. It should also be pointed out that he has resources and time to look at these problems that class attendees don't have which makes it disappointing when you see his analysis and solutions--stating to myself, "I could never see that!" If you can get over this with average joe safety manager, you've done something.
