Some years ago, I bought a Denon 520 CD player for HK$1,600. I used it for 1 year and several months (i.e. beyond the warranty period) and then the CD tray could not open. I called the repairing center of Denon for help. They said they would charge a non-refundable fee of HK$400 for checking it, and if any spare parts need to be changed, they would charge additional costs. Finally, I dropped the Denon CD player away and bought a new Onkyo C7030 CD player which still functions well now. I won't buy any Denon products again.
I have a NAD CD player the rubber that controls the tray does not function anymore but he shop told me it can be replaced and repaired for 25US. HP cable from NAD was bitten by one of my Dogs called them up and they replaced it free of charge. Bad experience with Marantz CD player they claimed they don't have the spare parts?
Really like the sound of my Yamaha through the headphone jack. Plenty of bass. And some times I even remember to look at the VU meters.
Any southwest amplifiers?
