But the rest of these are smart carded; both this and the Marriott smart carded their elevators 5 years apart: these ones in 2019 and the other ones this year. At the Marriott Marquis, the key card reader in the middle car in the 31-41 bank was turned off or broken so all those floors are open. The highest you can go in that hotel is 42, not much lower than 47, but still epic.
I wouldn't smart keycard the elevators in case elevators get crowded because smart key card readers would cause a lot of problems for hotel guests. With regular key card readers, we can allow time for other guests to quickly press their floor. With smart key readers, guests will be forced to wait extra. That's why I prefer regular key cards over smart ones because regular keycards unlock all the floors while smart ones unlock your floor only and nowhere else.
At some point, these elevators should get modernized with Otis Compass Plus with destination dispatch at the Westin Peachtree Plaza
I heard that the Westin Peachtree Plaza is in contracts with ThyssenKrupp/TKE, so they will probably get the AGILE mod.
Ok
For eyeore
Looks like the key card reader in this elevator must be broken or something.
Yeah
