They're not hating on him, they just think it wasn't a wise decision to have him on IM. Lots of people are trying hard yet it doesn't mean that their tricks are innovative.
I don't think I'm missing something too obvious, but I struggle to see how this is innovative. If anything, I see kinds of tricks, in this latest wave of new ones, that tons of people are doing. It's a great video and all, but at the risk of sounding like a jerk, I'm going to say that I think this video doesn't really belong under the InnovationMovement. It's not offering anything truly different, or daresay, exciting.
i mean this isn't so bad, but the player can be at least a bit innovative and a question for the editor, Why the fuck you did this negative contrast looks awful?

Haha. The color correction was purposefully emulating an old film look. It's not everyone's favorite, but I love it :)
