I was 5 years old during Khmer Rouge regime. He mentioned they gave him a small piece of rock salt and he licked it during his meal to make it last. I remembered I did exact same thing with a small piece of salt. It brings back so many horrible memories. They also spit up my family and I was roaming around in the village to fend for myself.
Thank you, survivor Norng Nham, sounds very sad story. I am happy he made through pol pot's regime. I can see the reason Khmer Rouge killed people to steal people's properties then build airport. it was good things they couldn't build anything because they were uneducated. They were just over evil people order them to kill innocent people and children without feeling anything. And forced people to work without giving them anything to eat until they died. I honor for people who rest in peace during the evil years. It was good that Sen Hun made his way escape to Vietnam with his group. And thank you, Pen Moeun for sharing the story. we need to interview with survivor people who knew where did the Khmer Rouge sold the rice that the victims worked for years and many of them were killed.
