I don't even think this is the history of Trunks timeline either this is probably the timeline cell came from where he killed Trunks and took his time machine, then again they're both the same timeline anyway where the same events occurred up till when the time machine was built.

Toriyama should write a film for this arc with his own original story. It would be a fun side story. They could even use the DBZ branding.
Fantastic lost story, and it would fit well with the series.
They should continue the next chapter of this story leading up to the events of the history of Trunks because I feel like they left out so many details due to plot, I want to know more about the OG Timeline.

@@morpheossYes I don't know why Akira won't just make a spin off series about this, you would think more people would watch, it should start off where Goku landed in Yardrat all the way up to where Bulma builds the time machine and Trunks travels back.
The OG timeline has Goku dying of the heart virus which one could say he contracted here on Yardrat which fits pretty well onto the Cannon since in the manga Piccolo tells Yamcha to take the heart virus medicine as well just in case its contagious. Everyone else is killed by 17 and 18. it's just him. Bulma, Mai, and Yajirobe who are left alive out of any main character who's been around. Initially, Trunks eventually kills the androids, which is why Cell killed the original Future Trunks in the OG timeline stole his time machine and traveled back even further than Trunks Initially did 3 years prior to Trunks arrival, creating the Main Timeline. It's the new changes and revelations that Trunks experiences because of his time travel in the closed loop because Cell also traveled back to an earlier point in time from an even later point in the future after Trunks has already defeated 17 and 18. So those are the main differences in the "unseen timeline" the one you're calling the "original," which it is, and the "main" timeline. In the original timeline, Future Trunks is dead in the distant future but in the Main timeline created by Cell Trunks is prepared for both Cell as well as the androids when he returns to the future and he just waits for Cell knowing he will eventually come for his time machine. But shit like this is good. It fills in blind spots and offscreen implications.
@brandonnelson-ey5mt, so flashing back and forth between offscreen stuff actually being illustrated in the og timeline as well as the og future timline? They should do it up to the death of the original future Trunks and show Cell stealing the time machine showing how the main timeline was created by killing Trunks after his initial return and defeat of the androids and traveling back even further in time than Trunks did. That's what lets you understand every change Trunks causes from time traveling or whatever knowledge of the future he gains from past events like discovering his original time machine, etc. This is why he made sure he was ready for Cell after defeating the androids. They can show Goku blast off for earth from Yardrat and Trunks awaken from a nightmare of his death at the hands of Cell months or however many years later it actually occurs and then Segway into Bulma finishing building the time machine and cautioning Trunks against facing the androids and end with that iconic "I told you so" scene of Bulma by his bedside in a hospital bed.
This was amazing. I felt so thrilled like I was a child again and each page felt so authenticatic. Thanks a lot!!!!!!
This is surprinsingly cool !! The characters have an apreciable depth, that lady fighter was very touching and hard, her design was top notch too ! I'm only halfway of the video but I had to comment haha. Im' enjoying this more than the whole DBS serie lol fr

Aren't there any fans willing to animate this story? This has so much potencial.
Americans might not know but Saint Seiya has divine status in Latin America and France and fans from both continents have already created super high quality fan animation of both Hades and Apollo's saga.
DBZ fans should inspire themselves on that and do their own too
You cannot underestimate just how much work and effort it is to animate 5 minutes, even in despicable quality. It's easy to dismiss the amount of time and work a series like this would require given the amount of low class trash Isekai Mangas that get Animated all the time but even they are months and months worth of salaries of entire Studios.
To Animate and cast Voices of a Project like this would take YEARS for indies... Sadly.

Although Vegeta had the pink "badman" shirt and not the armour on the supposed fight againt Freeza and Cold, and also according to what the anime tries to tell, the Z fighters did not fight at all against Freeza and Cold, goku teleported to Earth by sensing Freeza's KI the moment he arrived on Earth.

As someone who can’t stand reading, you are doing gods work and I love your content bro.
I really like how the old man has a heart issue that can be contagious which explains why Goku gets it, but only down side is that if it's contagious the Z fighters would be in trouble. Although there was a point where piccolo said that yamcha should take some of the meds just incase, so that could be the way to stop this issue.

one suggestion that occured to me while watching this video, its cool to stretch dialogue when theres no action or any tension during some pages, but you get the opposite effect during pages of combat and action, also using 3rd person too many times while portraing that very same person doesnt feel like its that person talking, it feels like narration...

Haha actually got a little choked up at the end there 😂. So sad to see goku die. And to know gohan will die in this timeline too to the Androids. But at the same time consequences, and real stakes are good! If you know the main characters will never die it takes so much away from the stories. But there are so many stories to tell, and in a lot of ways the death of one allows for the birth of another.

I like how this illustrates that some of The Cold Familes soldiers were ruthless because of what would happen to them if they failed which means not all of them were actually evil just terrified, desperate and/or brainwashed. Beings like the Cold Family just took advantage of that like some people do in real life.

I was going to object to how this story derails the canon timeline, but it makes for a very plausible timeline that created Trunks. By using this divergent timeline, it stands on its own. Toriyama should have done this. It wouldn't have been bad to rewind back to the start of the fight with King Cold and Mecha Frieza, showing Trunks appearing this time. It'd even still be a mystery until they showed his and Future Gohan's story.
Agree this timeline would have given Cold and Mecha Frieza more spotlight. Damn I wish we got this animated instead of the new Dragon Ball Saiyan Kids edition lol. This timeline would also give a good reason to create an animated arc of future Trunks before and during the android crisis then insert himself into the events in the past when Frieza arriving to Earth. Toriyama just doesn't care how important these stories are they just want a Goku & Vegeta show.

We could always have rolled back to the normal timeline, but exploring that timeline would have been fascinating and more in keeping with what Dragonball Z was supposed to be. It focused a great deal on Gohan until they decided to stick with the Goku/Vegeta formula.

I liked the way you did this video, I would for sure watch more like this. I had a hard time watching the beginning though, Goku not turning super saiyan for the longest time was so dumb, the fight wouldn't go on that long lol. I doubt any of them would've been good enough for base goku and I understand the key here was that he didn't know how to control it but saiyans have shown once they turn they know how to use it right away after. Idk it was entertaining at least

It would've been really cool if they would've went like this timeline in the original manga, showing how they can barely defeat king cold and frieza, then Goku dying, then shifting to Gohan and Trunks growing up for about 5 eps only to have the androids arrive, destroy almost all earth and kill Gohan. Like making the viewers actually believe the entire OG cast is now permanently dead.
Next episode is then randomly back to the episode when the Z fighters wait for Frieza to arrive but with some noticable differences to the viewer and then suddenly Trunks arrives and shocks the viewers. Only then we get to know through Trunks tale what happened after Gonhan's death and how the time capsule was invented.
But maybe this would've been too confusing for younger readers/viewers or such a way of laying out the story simply not being Toriyama's style.
I was hoping he either didn't get it or he survived it somehow. It's going to be interesting seeing no Goten and it changes things. Can't see my dawg not around though, all the jokes and banter. Beerus definitely destroys the planet now lol

I still don’t understand why Piccolo didn’t just fuse with Kami here? He would’ve been more than capable of handling Frieza and Cold while they waited for Goku to get back. the only thing I don't like is your use of the heart virus. Trunks said "you will start hearing about it in the news" & I can't see how it would effect so many other people if it came from Yardrat & how bulma could make a cure if it was not a big pandemic. If goku was the only death of it, there would be no such cure made & it does not Line up to have such a big event in earth history start with one man Like goku given how secluded goku is.

@@phantom8926 Yeah but goku still would had experienced symptoms beforehand. Goku just suddenly dropping dead from the virus doesn't make sense. So a wish could be removed to cure him
I was going to say shenron probarbly couldn’t cure or won’t interfere with natural causes of illness or death. Then I remembered in super they used a wish to cure pan’s illness.
It’s possible that Goku refused to have a wish on him saying it’s just fate.
Other then that there isn’t much reason why they couldn’t use the dragon balls.
They probably didn't have time when he had it while he was fighting android 19 he immediately started feeling sick and then had a heart attack and just survived thanks to the cure. Without it he most likely died in the course of a day or two before they could even think of gathering the dragon balls
