This dish just gave me Mark Weins Face!! @Pailin's Kitchen , if there's an award for the best youtube cooking channel, yours wins hands down!! Thank you so much.
Palin I just tried your goong ob woonsen it's to die for! Anyone can become a Thai chef if we follow you. Thank you Pailin for introducing us the real Thai cuisine.
I really love this dish, and I also want to share something. My mom used bacon fat instead of vegetable oil.Since bacon fat is salty she reduced the saltiness of the glass noddle marinade. I think this would work for someone who want to try the pork fat ver. but doesn't have time to prepare it.
My son love your menu..and he show me your channel..I need to learn more even I am Thais but I can't cook..my son love this dish..he may saw your channel when we went to visit Thailand..he ordered this meal..and now his favorite is Glass noodle 💙
I've cooked it yesterday for my host family(I'm an exchange student in Germany). This recipe is incredibly very simple (my cooking skill is horrible...) but turned out that it was totally delicious! Thank you for such a crystal-clear explanation wonderful tutorial! ขอบคุณมากๆค่ะ อิ________อิ จะขอติดตามตลอดนะคะ
OMG I can't stop making this dish!!! It's just so delicious!!!! Love how you explain the recipe, so easy to understand! Gosh this is my favourite Thai dish so far!!! xxxxxxxx
Thanks for this wonderful recipe. Will definitely have this for dinner today. Just a suggestion: If you chop the ginger really fine you will get more flavor and use less of it. When the ginger is chopped very, very fine, it blends well with the other ingredients so even the kids can eat it without noticing they are actually eating the ginger.
We used to live in Bangkok and this is my ultimate favorite Thai dish. I learnt how to cook it there but you have simplified it and made it more friendly to cook given the limited ingredients we have where we are now. Thank you! I can’t wait to make this again 😊
Thanks for giving us another option to think about when planning a Thai menu; it's also an excellent reminder, to include a variety of cooking methods to create a balanced selection that will be exciting to the palate. I used to be quite alarmed when a friend of mine ordered our Thai meals at a restaurant, he kind of bossed us around and quite insisted we all order curries in just about every colour. No salad, stir-fried dish, steamed dish, deep-fried dish etc., just curries. Heavens above!
I definitely gonna try this dish I love the way you explain the recipes, so understandable thank you, thank you, thank you so much, regards from Mexico
Now this looks really convenient, no worrying about over or under cooking the noodles. So we are definitely are going to cook this right away. Thanks again !
I try this noodles several times... and this noodles is one of my favourite... since I can’t understand Thai or maybe I can’t be bothered to read if there is English version at the back I cooked this noodles in Filipino style... with Shrimp as well... and so far I love it....
i successfully made it!!! will take a pic and post it on instagram! ill tag you! thank you so much for this cooking how to. this is one of my favourite dishes in my entire life. i havent had this for ages!!!! when I was 8-9-10 years old I pick a thai restaurant to celebrate my birthday! yummmmmmm! and It close down for many years and recently I found that they have moved but they dont deliver to my neighbourhood and I cant go to their restaurant! i was at the gym and finally thought to youtube glass noodle prawn!!! rice is ready!! im going to enjoy this so much!!!
There was one time I happened to have pork belly. So I used it. It turned out to be amazing. I've never had this dish in Thailand or Thai restaurant, and I can't imagine how good it could be when it's cooked "right".
I just had it yesterday in a restaurant in Thailand and it was delicious but it was called "baked" and so it seemed that it was baked for a while. Loved the light caramelised and nutty yet aromatic flavour and the ginger which brought a nice change. Definitely will try it at home😋
Fantastic! I've been cooking with Pai for about a year now - and I have never opened this video, assuming it's a V.HARD+ recipe with hard-to-find ingredients and equipment involved. And it turned out that all I need is already in my kitchen (thanks to Pai, again!). Wow! Thanks for another masterpiece, Ajahn! )
I never even thought about Thai food and never tried it also, but I have a Thai friend from Nakhon Ratchasima and she showing me this Thai food and I'm wanting too try it. Thank you for showing this.
Just did this wow amazing flavors, I used peeled jumbo shrimps instead and cooked them aside just adding them to the mix after they were done I also added the stock that came out, thanks for the high end Asian Restaurnant level recipe
PAILIN I LOVE U AND YOUR VIDEO'S U ARE SO THROUGH WITH YOUR VIDEO'S I HAVE NEVER MADE A BAD recipe FROM WATCHING U , U EXPLAIN EVERY THING IN DETAIL I'm a self trained chef and and when u explain the recipes I myself know exactly what u mean keep doing it the same way love u
AHHHHHH i just made this and damn! it is so delicious! spicy, savoury, full of aroma from the spices together with the chewiness from the noodles + juicy plump shrimps... perfect for a rainy day:)
randomly saw this video and liked it half way already! i didn't have this when i was traveling in thailand but i can just imagine how rich the flavors are! also really like your clear instructions. subscribed ^^
Love your recipes as always. My dad worked in Thailand so I went to HS in Bangkok. Love how you describe pork belly/lard and squeezing the shrimp juice out.
Wow! Just made this for dinner...delicious! Wasn't sure about it at first but I gave it a go anyway and really glad I did. Will definitely make this again soon. Thank you Pai...you really are the queen of Thai cuisine Btw...I added a couple shiitake mushrooms to give this dish a bit of a earthy note
Had this in a Thai restaurant in Sydney a couple of times! My favourite Thai dish so far!!!! Absolutely LOVED it!!!!Always want the recipes but I've never been able to find it since I don't know what it's called. And this video just popped out on my TH-cam when I was just watching random cooking videos!!!! Omg!! I HAVE TO give this a try! Thanks so much for sharing! xx
Can't believe I'm just finding out about you! I can't stop watching your videos.. Your recipes are looking so delicious. Can't wait to try them out myself. Thanks for sharing And you are so beautiful!!
I cooked this for dinner today and it was a hit! it was also my first time to cook a Thai dish. It was fun :) I will try to cook some of your recipes again :) thanks Pai!
I would use Korean glass noodles because it is more slippery in texture and it will taste better than normal glass noodles with more sauce too. I love glass noodles prepared this way but I've never tried to cook out yet. Can I use other alternatives instead of prawns? I'm not into prawns so can I use finely sliced pork instead?
I also prefer large shrimps to be in shell, but cooked on a BBQ. Basted in chilli, garlic, ginger dark soy sauce. Or placed and kept war in it after cooking. Delicious.
