- The Video Magazine 1994 World 500cc Motocross Championships. Marcus Hansson and Jacky Martens were level on points after eleven GP's and one heat. Marcus "Bubben" Hansson came out on top and was crowned the 1994 world champion.

I love the commentator as well but the best commentators are the Canadian motocross commentators of 1999 to 2015 In my opinion
Ronny weustenraad. My favorite. He didn't have the huge budget and time for the sport as most other riders had.

Kenny Kaye. Thank you! My personal favorite for sure. Not just his wonderful accent but just his comments and excitement factor. In the beginning of Paul Malin's tenure as expert commentator, I would compare his style to Mr. Kaye's and was a bit critical of his comments. He still scares the crap out of me when someone gets sideways and he yells "oh!" I'm like damn Malin, take it easy. But, I like him more and more as time goes on. I'm so hoping Marcus Hansen didn't suffer a career ending injury and you just meant he was out for the year. Damn, I hate that side of our sport.
Loved Gert V. Doorns silencer. Big and sticking out at an aggressive angle. Just looked menacing and probably added to the rideability of that big Honda.
Bet Smetts was glad to get off that crazy Vertimati reverse kick starting ..
...only 5 years earlier, the 500 class had been the premier class......

Excellent year in review. Smets on a Vertemati? I never knew. A great race call by the commentator. I apoligize I've listened to him over hundreds of races and still don't know his name. He's a great announcer though. It came to to the last race of the year and it happened to be in Sweden. I guess I should also admit I didn't know Marcus Hansen had won a world championship. Or, that Mervin Anstie had won an overall and an individual moto. You could argue a lot of the riders protested and that's why he won but that doesn't wash with me. No guts, no glory!
Kenny Kay is the announcer. Sadly Marcus Hansen didnt ride after that, think he got injured
