@mickjoG He refused to do it acoustically in the Live Lounge because he says acoustic wouldn't do it justice. So I doubt we'll ever hear it. It was written in the studio so there isn't even an acoustic demo that could leak to us! I agree is an awesome song though.

Was Noel a bit stoned or something? It looked like he was having flashbacks of his own humble crumbly beginnings It made him appear a little anxious at times. He never sounded bad at any point. He played his guitar compositions a bit differently than he'd normally. Lol, he COULD'VE been a bit spaced, coz he's usually calm as and is technically prolific with his performing. Might've been a nice gesture; showing he's just a normal guy. Also I just farted

Noel is cool, Jo Whiley is cool, and this lucky bloke acts as cool as can be expected when you've got arguably the greatest songwriter ever in your bedroom with cameras on you. You're hardly going to feel normal when that happens. Noel, however, pulls out the jokes and diffuses the situation with a few witty comments himself, so top respect. Also, Half The World Away is immense.

One of the worst things about Oasis later on was Noel's acceptance of the idea of filler. Putting songs on albums that were "good enough"
I can't blame the guy.. Personally I would find it pretty fucking uncomfortable and overwhelming to have one of my musical idols being forced to play a set in my own house just for me. I think I would feel almost guilty to have them there, as if I was wasting their time - and really, I would be.
When he's not singing you get the sense that he doesn't take his music seriously, even if it's a part of the song with no lyrics. But when he's singing, he's so immersed and his writing is pretty much exactly what songwriting is supposed to be.
@lhrussi - I know the one you are talking about, he's playing "waiting for the rapture".... that is also exceptionally good. I wanna hear him ripping out "falling down" solo.
@boomboxbadboy1 Depends the newer epiphones arent up to scractc. The older models before they switched factories are a different matter. Theyre very good guitars. The newer epiphones disappoint IMO. There are much better LP copies out there than epiphone. Edwards, Agiles, Tokais etc. Some would add Vintage, Burny and a few others into that mix as well. TBH its becoming harder for gibson to justify their price tags for guitars that arent 5 times better than a guitar they charge 5 times more for!
@GDFullOn : Yeh, that is possibly true... maybe he will find a good musical opinion to bounce off of, in the solo albums, in the form of a Paul Weller or someone like that. He has plenty of good friends in the music industry, he is highly regarded, I guess tapping Noel Gallagher on the shoulder to point out somthing, isn't the easiest thing to do.. (perhaps just ask LIam). I just hope that with Noel's solo album he dont release too many b-sides that are better than first choice album tracks..
