Motionless Horizon graphics can help to improve the immersion in certain games. Obviously good gameplay is a given to make a great game but graphics helps build it into a more impressive and immersive experience.
I cant believe you just jumped over all those dudes on the bridge right before you go up to the tower. Knocking all them dudes off and hearing them scream on the way down is one of the coolest parts of the game.
One of my favorite games of all time. Defiance was such a huge improvement over Soul Reaver 2 imo. Much better gameplay, better graphics, cool boss fights and being able to play as Kain.
@@aaadj2744 I would say equal. My main issue with blood omen 2 was how stiff the fighting was. Defiance has a lot better skill set/moves. But I liked the hilden enemies in blood omen 2. Especially the sarafan lord.
You probably won't ever get the chance unless you hunt down an original copy. The question of who actually owns the rights to Blood Omen was never settled, so it will never have any form of re-release, sadly.
I only got to play Blood Omen 2 i didn't get to play the other 4 and i might never be able to play them. If they are able to remake all but BO1 (would be great if they were able to) then hopefully they won't be rushed, will be in modern graphics (i have nothing against the old graphics), will make LoK: Dark Prophecy and LoK: Dead Sun, will have Simon Templeman still play Kain, and could bring Charles Martinet to voice the Elder God
When I first played this game, seeing Raziel wield the Wraith Blade like it was light AF was cool and weird at same time. lol. In the previous games, Raziel swung it around as if it was heavy.

I'm 45 now and I still have such fond memories of these games and on occasion, dream of a new game being made. *sigh* Also, however blasphemous this may sound to some people, I want a new retelling, same story, maybe some twists we've never seen, but I want the world of Nosgoth as vast and open as the world that exists in Breath of the Wild. When I was playing the first Blood Omen and Soul Reaver, that is exactly how I imagined Nosgoth, as open and exploratory as that. Hate me, if you will. Condemn me, if you must, but I want a Legacy of Kain game with a a great big open world, like BOTW. Makes me sad, cause I'm sure it will never happen. 😥

Dear crystal dynamic here is an epic gameplay for the next Legacy of Kain which fits the end of Defiance, make the protagonist as Kain and there are two realms in the game the material one and the spectral one, Kain can switch between the two realms but in the spectral realm he plays as Raziel to solve puzzles, fight bosses and consume souls too, while in the material realms Kain kicking asses like humans, vampires or whatever creatures
Exactly. Defiance was a gigantic improvement with gameplay and combat that is actually fun, much better graphics and beautiful visuals, awesome boss fights (Turel, Janos, Kane vs Raziel, Elder God) and the best part, playing as Kain.
One of the first unique game design where the protagonist is a limbless and faceless skeleton of a fallen vampire with multi elemental blade and able to switch within realms to fulfill his prophecy.
I so badly wish they would make another one of these games for the next series of consoles coming out, I would for sure get it I still have my copy of blood omen 2 for my gamecube I also still have.
I remember the controversy the first LoK game caused with some stores such as Walmart, and I remember purchasing it through Walmart before they removed it from their shelves. I didn't care much for the 3D change, but I enjoyed Defiance. Unfortunately it had a serious bug. If you consumed too much blood throughout the game, your health bar would eventually reset after you die. Apparently EIDOS didn't anticipate someone playing the game in that manner, and didn't cap it. I think they fixed the issue with the PC version, but the version I had for Xbox was not. The glitch lead to me selling the game rather than replaying it.
Can we talk about how pants-shittingly terrifying seeing Raziel (I mean, first of all _actually seeing Raziel_ ) shift into the physical realm would be? You're walking along, doing Defiance era errands or whatever and then *suddenly your neighbor's corpse raises from its grave, tears its own face off until its a hideous ghoul, and books it down the street.* I'd move.
Blood omen 2 is underated there were plenty of weapons and the abilities were more integrated with the combat that felt much heavyer. The combat in this is just weightless and flicky and I don't get why the soul rever is the only weapon and just feels standard when in pervious games especially the original blood omen it was a mighty ominous tear.you.asunder in one blow type of dofer....
And the progression of enemys in blood omen 2 was more satisfying and the whole dystopia steam punk vibe.... I don't get why it was not considerd a worthy part of the series in general... Meh
@@WisteriaNerium no it was an alternative timeline in a series that was all about how difficult it is to change the timeline but not impossible, the Hilden meddling in the timeline just got there ass handed back to them by alternative Kain.... That why Voridor is still alive ect... The story is fine. Some decent new characters too. Expecially the bosses.

Personally i preferred SR2 gameplay, i never liked the fixed camera and being forced to only one weapon.
The only problem I had was that the game would freeze when fighting the statues if you combo to quickly.

Compared to SR2 Defiance was a walk in the park. In SR2 the enemies blocked and dodged, and had unblockable attacks.
