    Ok, I've got chicken fever! I've watched about 20 hours of chicken coop videos this last month and yours was my favorite. Thanks for sharing.

    Producers Pride Defenders Chicken Coop will not stop mink from coming in and killing your every chicken in there. If there is a 1 inch gap that is all it needs to slide in to me it is not worth the money to have to go ahead modify it myself. Thanks for showing me the different models you have. The best coops built are probably those built by experienced folks who have raised chickens for many years. I know I am learning as I go.

    I'm concerned about winter. I've yet to see any consideration to insulation except for one guy had a piece of cement board over part of the roosting area. I've never raised chickens, I'm building my own out of various scraps and just gathering a clear conceptual image of what is needed for my situation.

    Any issues with predators (raccoon, possums) getting in between the larger gaps on your defender coop? Specifically where the rails don’t tough along the wall and roof line? Great video

    • @TheSwampStalker
      @TheSwampStalker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't had any predators get into the run on my defender coop, and we have plenty on raccoons, possums and skunks. I have a full review on the coop on this youtube channel. Thanks for watching!

      That Defender won't stop mink or weasels. To much of a gap on the dog panels. Your birds would be all dead with in a matter of minutes when they get in.

    If I have a larger run area for them during the day, how many bantam silkies do you think I could have in the smaller brown and white coop? I’m worried about the space where they sleep.

    • @TheSwampStalker
      @TheSwampStalker  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I would think 8 would fine. I find they all huddle together even if there are only a few.

      Early morning trash days, I go scrapping. Old dressers with drawers removed made brooders. Book cases made nest boxes.
