T.50s Niki Lauda (the track only version of the T.50) has the same engine, yet has been tuned for more power, producing 772hp. @jaylencooper could you give me a shout-out for spinning 80 super wheelspins and 40 regular wheelspins and giving away all the cars I earned from those?
imo the best way to enjoy the T.50 in a video game like Forza is how Gordon Murray intended the real car to be used in real life: don't take it racing. Simply cruise around the open-world and have fun! don't bother with any tuning. Just drive it bone-stock, take some cool photos, and just have fun!
If it’s not meant to race, then what’s the fan for? Fan cars (when they worked) were banned often after a year tops due to the fact they provided an unrivaled amount of low speed downforce while allowing for high top speeds thanks to the fact the fans don’t provide extra drag like other ground effect methods and unlike traditional aero. Fans for downforce, unlike wings or even other ground effects like diffusers, aren’t reliant on the speed of the car to generate downforce, which is why you get some people saying that certain fan cars can stand still at 0 MPH upside down.
I wish you could upgrade this car to turn into the T.50s Niki Lauda which has a rear wing and more downforce, some engine swaps would probably help as well.
As sacrilege as it sounds, I agree that it could’ve used some engine swaps, both to downgrade it more effectively to ‘S1’ class (the 3.0L V8 from the Ariel Atom would be a good swap imho), and to create something more in-line with the Red Bull X2010 series from Gran Turismo (the Racing V12, maybe even one of the high horsepower V8s that have been missing from MANY hyper cars now).
I’m sure the fan really helps there, too. I don’t think the regular T50’s downforce is to be underestimated either, since it’s a fan car, meaning even if it generates more downforce than a comparable high-downforce road car, it’ll not only have a higher top speed, it’ll also handle better at lower speeds.
i think the things that make this car great in real life can't be replicated in a game like fh5. forza motorsport and sims are better for this car as you can actually feel the car and its great qualities. the car is already light and grippy but swapping on different engines and upgrading it to 1500 hrsprs is basically sacrliege to this car as you are tampering with a great engine and is a big part of the car's brilliance irl. however, in pure speed in fh5 this will simply fall behind.
It’s good for offroading (as cursed as it sounds). Throw on AWD and a turbo, add some Forza aero, offroad tires and all other rally/offroad oriented upgrades, maybe even add a few extra gears, and max every other thing out, and while it isn’t S2 998, it’s still VERY potent on the dirt even compared to other S2 offroaders; that tendency to reach 150-180 MPH on the dirt alone alongside the light weight and ludicrous downforce thanks to both the aero AND the fan is NOT to be mucked around with.
This car from a design point seems like a mix of multiple cars: taillights remind me ATS GT, generally back reminds me Pagani Huayra, front looks like McLaren F1
They won't let this car be absolutely bonkers like a BTTB or sesto FE as it is a car everyone gets. If that were the case, it would have a seriously negative impact on playing online.
It’s definitely bonkers offroad, saying this from personal experience. With an AWD swap, offroad tires, and an ever-so-increased emphasis on downforce, this car’ll break 150 MPH on remotely straight dirt roads, and will readily break 180 and sometimes even 200 MPH on dirt roads that are. Somewhat ironically, I’d say it’s the best S2 car for cross country due to its high downforce potential (aero + fan) and the fact it reaches those speeds so regularly.
Soooo, yeah. This is meant to be a driver's car. Gordon Murray purposefully didn't set out to make the fastest car, but the best driving experience. If they wanted a fast car, they'd give it turbos, AWD, electric motors, a twin-clutch gearbox...but all of that would add weight and take away from what he tried to do. 7:56 Yes. I mean come on, this car has a V12 wtih 650 hp and just 450 nm of torque, this engine is not meant to fast. Not a fast top speed, I’d agree, but I don’t think it’s meant to be a pushover on a technical track what with its fan providing a constant level of downforce regardless of whether you’re going at 20 MPH or 200 (32 KM/H or 320). If that fan got cranked up ever so slightly, it might eliminate wheelspin altogether with an insanely powerful engine, doubly so with AWD.
ngl as much as i love this car i cant help but think its a tiny disservice to bring it in a videogame. this car is not about performance, but about the driving feel. Great car it’s just baffling why the car isn’t animated to have its manual transmission 😢😢😢 It’s not operated via paddle shifters. I don’t get it really. Same in Motorsport. Glad to have it though. Sounds fantastic!!
This is actually pretty good on the dirt in S2 Class (even if it doesn’t reach 998 with Offroad tires). 500 front/700 rear forza aero downforce, MUCH stiffer rear anti-sway bars than front, some torque bias to the rear with the offroad differential, and you’ll find yourself often breaking 150 MPH in the dirt, sometimes breaking 180 MPH, and it still handles well both on the dirt and off. I wonder why fan cars were never made for rallying, then I realize that this would often result in a ton of debris in the system which wouldn’t make it work well in reality.
It's meant to be the most driver focused, raw car ever.. Not to break records. So they're right, it's goal was not to be fast, but to be an extremely mechanical experience.
I don't know why in Motorsport you have several engine swaps (Ferrari 458 engine, AMG GT Black Series engine, 5.2L V10 and a 3.8L TT-V6) for it but not here.
McLaren F1 did go 240 mph but that was with a modified rev limiter that possibly increased the power and also top speed but with the regular 7500 rpm limit instead of 7800 it can "only" go 220 but the Pagani huayra bc with its V12 does 238 mph no increased rev limit or any way of increasing the top speed over the regular production car
I think with the T.50 in high downforce mode, it might give the Dodge Viper ACR a run for its money as the fastest production manual car around the Nordschleife.🤔
Idk if its just me, but when I use both driving modes when racing (also tried with both RWD and AWD) they both feel the same. Again it might be just me but hopefully someone will do a comparison
Idk how to switch driving modes while racing, I thought it could only be done when in free roam. To my understanding, the reason they feel similar is because they both use the fan, though one mode generates slightly more downforce while the other generates slightly more power. In short, it’s not nearly as night-and-day as the AMG ONE.

Love this car, but I would have wanted to do some upgrades to the engine other than some turbos.
Lol its the most fun stock... as soon as you try to do any "Build" you realize it's not competitive haha
I tried this car and i love it
It's good really great traction and power
The T.50 is my new favourite car in Horizon 5
the drive modes are also super super cool
Keep it rwd for racing. Keep stock aero. Max everything else for racing. It’s a beast
I hope to see the berkeley bandit concept in the game
Basically the same power to weight ratio
I'm new to the game and I had just saw the gifts last night and I downloaded every gift
McLaren F1 did go 240 mph but that was with a modified rev limiter that possibly increased the power and also top speed but with the regular 7500 rpm limit instead of 7800 it can "only" go 220 but the Pagani huayra bc with its V12 does 238 mph no increased rev limit or any way of increasing the top speed over the regular production car
bro coping mad hard because the goal was reached well before Christmas unlike what he predicted 😭
So triggered by the fact that nick shifted into 5th in his race and didn’t shift down at any corners and just gave away places
I think with the T.50 in high downforce mode, it might give the Dodge Viper ACR a run for its money as the fastest production manual car around the Nordschleife.🤔
If you’re wondering, the Valkyrie did 250 mph as a naturally aspirated car
Do the cars behind you driving gets theoretically a better slipstream 'cause of the fan?
NICK The fan is actually helps the car to create downforce to make it stable at high speeds
I thought it was going to be a ferarri in the thumbnail
Do a video on the Radical RXC! i'm pretty sure its the best racecar in the game !
I got it too. It's really damn good
@ar12gaming will you be doing hide and seeks in gta 6 when its out 😊
I need a BT46 livery
Idk if its just me, but when I use both driving modes when racing (also tried with both RWD and AWD) they both feel the same. Again it might be just me but hopefully someone will do a comparison
Idk how to switch driving modes while racing, I thought it could only be done when in free roam.
To my understanding, the reason they feel similar is because they both use the fan, though one mode generates slightly more downforce while the other generates slightly more power.
In short, it’s not nearly as night-and-day as the AMG ONE.
Who cares how well the car performs. It sounds amazing and that's all that matters to me
A car with a fan on it eh? Just seems like some very fancy air conditioning.
It is meant for air conditioning… for the opponent behind you.
if were talking fan cars, give us the Spierling!!
Nick when every car isn't OP and can make him win every race: 😐
Arguablly the best car ever made
The front looks like a F1 in 20's but the back is a Ferrari 458 with a fan
how do we switch to v max boost on controller
Use L joystick 😊
Nick got beef with that car lol
Bro not to be that guy nick but you gotta be bad at tuning my t50 with no assists is insane
Now the T.50s
Yo Nick, I have an idea,
You should make the Hoonitron in BeamNG!
this car proves that nick cant shift, he needs to downshift way more often. Nearly the entire off-road race he was in 4th gear. Those low revs destroy this car's performance.
