Not mentioned in the video - but No Good to Me Dead is another excellent option. I prefer it in the Sideboard because it's really best for hitting particular leaders to buy yourself time against them, but you can definitely mainboard a couple of copies as well!

Hey everyone! This is our first SWU Deck Profile, and I tried a different format for displaying the deck. I appreciate any feedback about it so our future ones can be as useful as possible. Did you like the way the deck was displayed here, or were there any suggestions you'd have to improve it?

I like this list. It’s very similar to what I am transitioning my Thrawn blue deck into.
I’ve been really intrigued by Thrawn (especially being one of my favorite characters) I’m excited to give this deck a try

@@MaindeckGamesso I’ve been playing this for a few weeks now and it is a lot of fun! The reinforcement walker is super strong with Piett in play. I have found that I don’t do well against the aggro decks like Sabine but it has a great match up against Han decks!
Great vid. I really enjoy Thrawn. I’m playing Blue for extra HP and some cards like Regional Gov. I find him super thematic, very fun.
OB is just such a gorgeous card tho, huh. Wow. The foil hyperspace isn’t even that pricey!
Only feedback is not to release right in the middle of a set spoiling spree 😜
This is an awesome deck! Green Thrawn has been my favorite thing to play so far in this game and your take on it is a good one.
Have played this deck after seeing this video and I've gone from not being able to handle Leia and some Sabine decks to beating them consistently. Thrawn has a high ceiling, but you are rewarded for smart play and punished for sub-optimal play. I main board TIE Defenders now because my meta has high Heroism space aggro
That makes a ton of sense! Defenders can do a lot of work against that. I'm so glad you are seeing success now, good to keep those aggro players from getting too arrogant!!
Love the deck, I'll probably try it out soon. Thrawns health number is obnoxious.
Ive been doing a Thrawn Command deck myself. I need to make some tweaks to mine, I just pulled a couple Boba's and I think I am playing with too many events and not enough units.
Event heavy can be effective too - I think I like that more with Vigilance, though. I don't think Command contributes a lot of powerhouse events right now, but Cunning does have good options. But I think if you've got Vader in the list, it's worth making sure you have enough decent villainy units to snag with him.
Very True, I have toyed around with Death Troopers out of aspect just for Vader to play for free. If you draw them early then just resource. It has worked a few times to get that little extra splash damage but in not sure it has worked enough to make it worth while.
I do like No Good to me Dead though. Good lockdown on a leader or strong unit.

I have a huge heart for thrawn Vigilance over Command, but I like your breakdown
Vigilance is a cool build too. I prefer this because it's a little easier to keep up with Fett in my experience - but the vigilance one has more hard board control options, so depending on the card choice it should be stronger against aggro or control in exchange!

@@MaindeckGames @MaindeckGames Use the Fortuna and attack pattern Delta as a good lake game combo. No Cara replaced it with relentless. I focus more on space than ground, using my exhaust abilities and events to exhaust the ground units that my opponents are playing so I can hit their base from space. and enough ground units to defend with. with ramp i have enough resources to play what i need.
Sounds rad! Focusing space can be potent right now for sure!
@@MaindeckGames it’s a really slows them down. I’m on my 4th version because I got new cards so I can’t wait to test it.
Man this deck looks so fun. But I'd have to run it with 1 vader and 1 boba.
It should still be effective! It's not like I draw vader every game that I win!

Why does it need to change a thing. I’m running and making a Thrawn green deck. I don’t expect it to be a boba green. Or any of the meta decks. But it’s something I’ve put my time and energy into. I’ve won and lost games with. Probably same for everyone here. We are one month into the game. We have a long road. Let’s keep open minds and see what comes out.

easy build. only 3x darth vaders :). i got null . but looks nice tho
I’m on my forth version of my Thrawn green deck. Only reason is I traded for two bobas and 3 vaders. You can play Thrawn green with out bobas or Vader. No it won’t beat the meta decks. But it’s still fun to play. Does what I want it to. It’s great for weekly play and just playing with friends.
Yeah, I definitely recognize the Vader cost. Nothing quite replaces him for cheaper, unfortunately - but you could always try Bossk or Syndicate Lackeys for another ambush option, or Fett's Firespray for another top end card (better if you have the Fetts already).
Hopefully, in the future, Vader will become more obtainable for everyone!
@@MaindeckGames not sure how they will do the wave2. Will they distribute more of wave 1 after its sold out att all. Or is that it. Or will they just print a set amount for each wave. Dident think id like it as much as i did
Yeah, it's up in the air right now. There is also the possibility of reprinting Vader in another form in the future, if the price remains prohibitive. Whether that's a special set or a promo like the Store Champs Windu, there are more options to get more Vaders out there!
this is gonna be an expensive deck man. time to get to work I guess
It's getting pretty rough - we have some much cheaper ones coming soon that are really good too!

Boba isn't a HUGE deal - Vader is tougher to replace, but I would recommend either Bossk or Synidcate Lackeys to get another ambush option, or something like Fett's Firespray for an additional top end option. I hope in the future Vader will become easier to obtain, I don't like this price gating either!
It will be nice when every deck isn't just "throw three vaders and three bobas into standard command plus... whatever else you feel like.
Our next 3 profiles - one of which is going up today - do not use Command at all, so hang tight!

these deck lists are pointless when there is no booster stock in stores and the singles prices bring these decks to above 500$
