Alex Reeburn Haha. ikr. I always wonder from where did all these extra stuff come from after a fun trip is done. Maybe because you're not that excited to go back??
In that case you fold your shirts then roll them to give you more space, then continue to lay clothes out flat and fold them over as he did in the end of this video.
Don't waste a cm³. Makes me think of how I pack my motorcycle tank bag. Another easy win that sounds obvious but doesn't seem to be for many people: tighten a strap around an overfilled bag before zipping it close or open, instead of pulling hard on the zipper. An already closed zipper can handle quite some stress, but its separate "teeth" are very vulnerable while zipping or unzipping.
I'm getting ready for a one week trip to Hawaii. And I have to share a suitcase with my mom. I've been seriously, been taking notes on this video. And bringing one suitcase is going to save us a fortune on Jet fair. Thank you. :)
Awesome packing job! I definitely use the roll. Only thing with this is, the way the last articles of clothing were packed... if you're staying in hostals or travelling internationally, you essentially have to unpack each time in order to get to the socks / underwear, etc. But yes, great job, thanks for sharing!
This is amazing. I'm only taking a 22" bag for 2 weeks and I only have 10 days left to figure out how to pack as awesome as this. I know it can be done! :)
Awesome job but I wouldn't want to have to unpack everything every time I wanted to get my socks or a pair of jeans. Great idea though if you can unpack somewhere and only have to do this once a week or something when moving to a new location.
Did we watch the same video?.. It's easy to grab things you need from there from how he puts everything together. Need socks? Move the entire Pants+shirt stack from the bag and reach the "simple" things at the back. Need pants?, drag the pants from the stack. Need the sweater?, drag it from the stack. Need a shirt?.. once again drag it from the stack. This only becomes a problem if you want to get that "one specific" item from the stack, as long as you don't care which one you get it's easy to remove. What you do with used items is another thing though. I guess you could start creating a new stack of dirty clothes
sicarius100 I guess we didn't watch the same video because all the shirts were woven in with each other and the jeans as well. That stack wouldn't just lift out and go right back in. It was packed in their tight and layered. Once you lifted it out you would have to go through most of this process again putting it back in and you would have to do this to get your socks and shoes.
I'm sure there are two versions of the video and we're commenting on different versions. They weren't woven "in with each other". They were layered so that you can pull on an exposed piece of clothing and remove it from the stack. Yes the inner most layers can tangle since the fabric is larger than the layer so there will be excess to tuck away but as you can see in the video then as the stack grows so does the fabric needed to fold it and outermost layers will have less fabric to get entangled and once you work down the layers the stack becomes smaller and it'll be easier to "fix" if stuff gets entangled (just use your other hand to hold the other layers while pulling) And it's easy to pull something from the stack, you just don't grab a random layer and pull, you work it methodically. If you want Pants you go with the most bottom layer since one side is loose and if you reverse the stack you can lift the pants up and only half of them will be "in" the stack so relatively easy to remove. If you want the sweater it's the same only it's already the top layer. Want a shirt? Fold the sweater away (like opening a book) and grap the topmost shirt which you suddenly hold a half of and then pull it, and as a finisher you fold the sweater back again. How to remove the entire stack from the case without it falling apart?.. uhhh I dunno, maybe put one hand on the top part and slide your hand along the edge to reach the bottom (not even tricky if the pants are still in the stack) and then hold it together and lift ?
I am traveling almost every weekend for the past seven years and can tell you from experience that this way of packing is not the optimal one! When the video was loading I was thinking: "Is he going to pack just the stuff on the floor in the bag?" I have just one word for you to know how to pack compactly: rolled
Although it's great you fit everything in there, to get at literally anything in the bag you basically have the tear the entire thing apart... and then repack it. Yikes.
+Tom Ayzenberg great vid n method but u have wayyyy too much stuff. packing is also about WEIGHT, not just the luggage itself. no one wants to lug 25-30 pounds on their back which is what you have here. a real backpacker opts for a shirt or two and only the pants he she is wearing with some personal items.
Davidgzmn solution to not going to prison for stealing is to not steal. same with trying to prove you didn't lie. uh, don't lie. most problems are self-generated.
If your gonna bundle wrap, I'd advise using it as a means of transport where you would unpack and store your clothes once arriving. I wouldnt reccommend for say a hiking trip where you want constant access to stuff and your rucksack is your storage
It's very pleasing to see a luggage packed with *clothes only*. Girls need to squeeze high heels, skin care crap, makeup crap, hair-styling crap, etc in there.
Thumbs up for the impressive packing. I thought I was good I could do a 3 night work trip with a small backpack. You just blew my mind , glad you took your reddit shirt :-)
Impressive, I however am female and know my limitations. I need shoes, makeup and all that girl stuff when I travel. I can clean and pack an entire house in a week and unpack it and have everything in it's proper place in 4.5 hours. Trust me, I've done it. :) By the way, I didn't notice any toiletries go into the bag. Did I miss it?
This is fine for a single pack, single unpack type trip, but I dare you to do this over a month, spending two days in each place. Smart packing is about bringing only what you need, and making things accessible. 2 jeans(1 casual/1 formal), 1 shorts, 5 tshirts, 1 dress shirt 7 pairs socks/boxers, 1 gym shorts, 1 gym shirt, and MOST important, a few bags for dirties.
Yeah, definitely only really useful if you are going to full unpack when you get wherever you are going and then stay there. Not as good for a trip where you are going to be stopping a place for a night or two, then moving on.
Yes. Packed. But to get at the bottom.. all of it has to come out. Why the need to interlock all of those shirts? Seems pointless and a great way to make life hard when you need to unpack/ get one shirt, say not the one on the top.
I didn't mean it to sound that way. I generally pack 2 pair as well. Most of my trips are done on a motorcycle so I have to pack light and doing laundry isn't practical. I roll my stuff around a dowel rod though, cuts down on wrinkles and makes it easy to find stuff. Works better for my needs.
Very unorganized and inefficient. You have to unpack everything just to get to one item. It's not worth it for the sake of "packing light", just bring a slightly bigger bag and save yourself the inconvenience.
That's cool, great month long carry on, but what if you wanted something in the middle of that massive fold? lol that would be quite a process to retrieve your hoodie
Wait till he hears, "Sorry Sir, may I check your bag?" xD
+Beefslap Benny Hill episode at customs ensues...
Omg yes. I was thinking the same. 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂😂 your comment is lit
XDDDDD
Beefslap haha
It's all fun and games till you start packing on the way back and everything suddenly takes 10x more space than it originally did.
Alex Reeburn Haha. ikr. I always wonder from where did all these extra stuff come from after a fun trip is done.
Maybe because you're not that excited to go back??
Lol, it's an unexplained phenomenon.
In that case you fold your shirts then roll them to give you more space, then continue to lay clothes out flat and fold them over as he did in the end of this video.
Alex Reeburn I just pack an extra empty duffel and check it on the way back.
+Alex Reeburn and you buy one little souvineer t-shirt ;)
At airport:
-Sir, could you please open up your bag?
-GOD DAMMIT!
JAJAJAJA
:D
Lol! Right, but we know how to put it back and the TSA Peeps look at is like wtf 😳
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
That was GREAT! No extra usless blather, just to the point and done. Props to your mother!!!

Now the bag has the mass of a black hole
*density
😂😂
23cokebottles ace. I just turbolold.
Rodrigo Mirra Timelord science. Bigger on the inside :P
Consistency and compression, as well as using any free volume. Very nice!
Give this man a cookie!
Ive been using this method since 2013/2014 and i cant be anymore grateful. Now im sharing it with a friend
Don't let him fool you... His mom is Mary Poppins and we all saw what she can fit in her bag... :-)
dang ima try to do somethin like tht and but it on youtube
I'm getting ready for a one week trip to Hawaii. And I have to share a suitcase with my mom. I've been seriously, been taking notes on this video. And bringing one suitcase is going to save us a fortune on Jet fair. Thank you. :)
Hope this bag doesn't explodes in flight =D
The Android Guy HUAHUAHUAHUA
Those are some mad packing skills! I'm impressed! Makes me want to have any excuse just to pack!
Awesome packing job! I definitely use the roll. I cant believe it..6 years since first time i saw!! i hope u still enjoying travelling
This is amazing. I'm only taking a 22" bag for 2 weeks and I only have 10 days left to figure out how to pack as awesome as this. I know it can be done! :)
and then you go through security and they will eventually ask "sir, were gonna need to search your bag"
In that case; U be fucked! Lol
Awesome job but I wouldn't want to have to unpack everything every time I wanted to get my socks or a pair of jeans. Great idea though if you can unpack somewhere and only have to do this once a week or something when moving to a new location.

sicarius100 Yikes, definitely not gonna read all that. You win princess, it would unpack like butter.
actually there are three versions of the video and I just watched one where he didn't fit everything in that bag. weird
i not only love how useful this video is... but the fact that you showed it all to me in under 90 seconds! Thanks, gracias y danke :-)
omg .... what if security asks to check your bag and takes everything out.
HiddenPalm , it's not that difficult. It's also fairly quick.
I am traveling almost every weekend for the past seven years and can tell you from experience that this way of packing is not the optimal one!
When the video was loading I was thinking: "Is he going to pack just the stuff on the floor in the bag?"
I have just one word for you to know how to pack compactly: rolled
I hope you packed your favourite shirt at the top.
You probably need some clothes. Just saying.
I came here hoping for benny hill music and fast forwarding. I was not disappointed. ^v^
I loved you in college and now I love that I remember you made this video. Thanks!!!!
You have no idea how many times this video has helped me pack for vacation.
Say goodbye to your zipper.
PropaneWP I
Although it's great you fit everything in there, to get at literally anything in the bag you basically have the tear the entire thing apart... and then repack it. Yikes.
So true... :D
And then what if i want to only take out the shoes?
Good luck.
Take out the whole bundle of clothes and then ur shoes. Simple
Holy Shit!!! That blew me away!!! I will be buying the Aeronaut Traveller Bag so I'm hoping to do the same! Good job!
Great technique.
Are his toiletries, electronics, outerwear, etc in a second bag/carry-on? Women also have unmentionables to find space for, too.
weighs 200 pounds
gets searched
Kevin Conroy
What do you mean by cavities? I hate the dentist... Oh god, I hate this more! I HATE THIS MORE!!!
+. Great tip man, who would have thought that the solution to having to pack clothes is to not pack any. Thanks for the tip. /s
Davidgzmn solution to not going to prison for stealing is to not steal. same with trying to prove you didn't lie. uh, don't lie. most problems are self-generated.
"Ehm, I'm really sorry Sir but I must search your luggage." "Oh fuck.."
Yeah, sure, it's easy with pocket dimensions, I could hide a Boing 747 in that bag too.
I just wanted to commit foul necropost to thank you for reminding me that the Benny Hill music exists. You've so brightened my day.
Very useful video man, with this method i was able to pack all my clothes for two weeks in one single and small suitcase.
Kudos for anybody that got the nerd reference to Hitchhickers's Guide to the Galaxy : The man leaves his towel easy to access.
A note from the tsa saying they searched your bag would be classic. Half you shit would be in a garbage bag next to your bag.
Can i call you master ?
You may call him... mini me!
Mind blown! I wish I would have stumbled upon this sooner!
If your gonna bundle wrap, I'd advise using it as a means of transport where you would unpack and store your clothes once arriving. I wouldnt reccommend for say a hiking trip where you want constant access to stuff and your rucksack is your storage
It should be Tetris team song player in background. ahahah Thx for the vid tho, it helped me :)
Okay, now where do you put your toiletries?
Scott Monty , the outside pockets
socks....inside the shoes.....holy shit.
***** seriously though, I never thought about putting all the socks in spare shoes. It does make sense.
It is a very organized and compacted suitcase, bravo. Glad you made this video it really gives some practical suggestions.
you're so talented, with your talent, you can still add baby, a child, furnitures from IKEA, and fungus from mario bros to that bag
wow that is incredible
your profile pic with your comment are very contradicting....
Sean Castanon Or his profile pic with his comment are very well complementing, if it were to be sarcasm.
Sean Castanon ahaha, i know, curse of the sarcastic face. im actually like this in real life too. but in this occasion im really really impressed
lol good stuff, good stuff
Omg that cat shirt!! Love it
It's very pleasing to see a luggage packed with *clothes only*. Girls need to squeeze high heels, skin care crap, makeup crap, hair-styling crap, etc in there.
there's something so satisfying about this video
Thumbs up for the impressive packing. I thought I was good I could do a 3 night work trip with a small backpack.

By the way, I didn't notice any toiletries go into the bag. Did I miss it?
Toiletries are cheap, you could buy them once you arrived your destination, and dispose them on the way home.
C.J. McCullough , outer pockets
if you roll anything that you can into a tube, you can get even more space.
you're a pro!!
Excellent way to pack a ton of cloth! Thank you!

That's a serious amount of clothes.
That was epic!!!
he much teach me his ways *-*
Sir, you are the best of packing!!
No wayyy. This is amazing. Im still in shock 🤣🤣🤣
Great for packing, but I'd like to see the unpacking video as well.
Seems like you would have to undo all of your work just to grab what you need.
=\
Yeah, definitely only really useful if you are going to full unpack when you get wherever you are going and then stay there. Not as good for a trip where you are going to be stopping a place for a night or two, then moving on.
...toothbrush, toothpaste, shaver, shampoo, deodorant, meds, charger(s)... ... ... ??
Exactly!
Pack with back pack or handbag
Fabillah Hussain The point is to take one bag.
tipsynipper carry-on
*****
My mind is blown.
Amen. He packed that bag to the fully capacity. Thanks but I know I over pack every trip like I’m not coming home. Ok. Thanks for the tutorial!!!!
That's pretty awesome!! Until security goes through your bag and messes it all up!! I hate that, but great job man!! We pack very much alike!
Now wait until TSA makes you unpack it at the airport...
Well, it only took 4 years to get on reddit again. But hey. Not bad.
Thank you for sharing. :-)
Excellent! I do use storage cubes to help but the same method in the cubes.
you are a hero to all exchange students!
Yes. Packed. But to get at the bottom.. all of it has to come out. Why the need to interlock all of those shirts? Seems pointless and a great way to make life hard when you need to unpack/ get one shirt, say not the one on the top.
TheObsessedGardener , less wrinkles
What in God's name is this gotdamn black magic??
well, hes a boy he doesnt need, make up, high heels, lost of outfits, handbag, etc
I'm a guy and one pair of shoes wouldn't work for me.
I'm a girl and I don't need neither of that stuff :/
Nazgullll totally agree. I still have extra space in the bag when I go home.
+Nazgullll thats great but us others still need to pack makeup
shreya : "need " makeup is not a necessity .
Great vid. I need more shoes, but I'm watching this before leaving for 4 days, very useful.
Браво !!!
Good evening friends! ☼ ((✾◕‿◕✾)) _Удачи_! ☼ ★★★★★
Can you do a girlie version of this video with some toiletries and make up? :)
That would be sooo good!!💕
Then his bag explodes in the airplane. 8D
Morgan-Typhon-Yu 3, 2, (cockpit compresses,) FUCK!!!! LOL!!
Perfect choice of song. And to those wondering about toothpaste and such, he's still got the outside pockets to use.
They have a weight limit for carry on by the way. Here in Hawaii, Hawaiian airlines weight limit is 25 pounds or less and limit 2 bags per person
I fold my clothes this fast every single day. :p
sigh.. please pack for me
What the fuck! HOW!
Good thing I saw this right before my cruise.
This dude deserves a medal!
This wouldn't work for girls 😂 The amounth of clothes: Yes. But where's my makeup, shampoos, alls kind of hair stuff and so on
Waiting for you in a store for purchase at your destination ;)
kkostadinof in some destinations is no way to buy it, and the thing is saving money, not spending more
Iam Who , use the outer pockets.
You are kidding me right???
Very unorganized and inefficient. You have to unpack everything just to get to one item. It's not worth it for the sake of "packing light", just bring a slightly bigger bag and save yourself the inconvenience.
Or less clothes.
+Linus Wärn or that.
But yet again he will unpack his bag when he stays at one place for that entire month but if he is on the move frequently then it would be a pain.
A RJ , actually it is effective. TSA compliant. And resists wrinkles.
This is the absolute BEST packing video I have ever seen. Ulla
That's cool, great month long carry on, but what if you wanted something in the middle of that massive fold? lol that would be quite a process to retrieve your hoodie
Liar, didn't pack the lamp in.
Moms could do this with 50% less bullshit and in half the time.
I do this on the daily.... i mean come on... im a soldier....
Great video we are converted to travelling light! We managed to go on a ski holiday with only carry on cases.
What a great technique! Thank you for posting this video man.

I've seem this kids douchey emo face saying stupid reddit things on several videos. It's not cool. In fact, it's pretty Clay Aiken.
The best bit is this Guyrl..? posts this on every video to make it to the front page.
GTFO
I'm impressed! I didn't think all that would go in your carry on lol
Thanks for this. I've been looking for a very informative videos about packing stuff.
