- FCPS Part -I is a medical post-graduate examination that one can take after completion of his/her house job and after clearing this exam,you can start your training and pursue your dream to become a consultant.A lot of people have issues clearing this examination because it is a tough examination and requires a lot of determination,knowledge and time.Watch this video to know about my experience of taking this exam and clearing it ,the books that I studied and the schedule that I followed which worked for me.If you have any queries,feel free to ask me in the comment box below.I will try my best to answer all of those.If you like this video,don't forget to share it with your friends.

Well thats a very perfect explanation about part 1. Just wanted to ask should i wait for BHUs and all those stuff to increase my merit and then get residency in a govt hospital or should i not waste my time and immediately start residency in a private hospital after clearing part1? In your opinion which one is the right choice?
Thank you for appreciating! It is a very good question! Well,I would say that depends upon you. What I would suggest you is that you should first clear part 1.Meanwhile,if you manage to get a job at BHU it is a good thing but if you get to work as a postgraduate resident in a private/trust hospital or an institution not under CIP where you think you'll have enough experience to learn then you should go ahead and join and not waste time ! :)

Paper 1 is same for all. For paper 2 , you can do past papers from SK pink and all the past papers of FCPS part-I of gynaecology
Just focus more on the anatomy of pelvis. Since I’m not a resident in gynaecology, I can’t comment much on that.

Paper 1 is the same I guess but since I haven’t taken the exam so I won’t be much aware of its pattern but generally for paper 1 the stuff is pretty much the same!
You can search for past papers of psychiatry in FCPS prep batch (2005-2010) in the files section.

Should we read first aid whole or just do systems as first aid is very detailed and comprehensive book it takes alot of time to read it and in systems there is related pharmacology as well so should we read it too or just do general pharmacology? And plz make a separate and detailed vidio for surgery and allied...Thank you
You should watch this video in detail till the end. It contains all the required information. It is for both medicine and surgery & allied. But to answer your question, I’ll also write it here that yes you need to do all the systems and do general pharmacology from First Aid. You need to just do general embryology from a separate book. I’ve mentioned it all in my various videos. I’ve made many videos on separate subjects and how to cover them and even the minor ones which I’ve mentioned in a Q&A video.

Well,the basic stuff is the same but there's an additional book named Jehangir's book of MCQs that people from dentistry study. It is really helpful. Rest, I don't know much about the dentistry related books for FCPS part-I! :)

Sir for medicine not for surgery we should study pathoma, physiology brs, first aid and for mcqs which books kindly comment on it ....and also tells about exam mcqs marks pattern
Well… the main books are pretty much same for medicine and surgery as you can never predict with surety regarding what will be asked in paper 1 and 2 both. So, it is always better to be on the safe side and study all the main stuff.
As far as the marks are concerned, an aggregate of 75% is considered as the passing criteria . The marking is according to the percentile system.

do we have to do whole FA ? as it is quite long i ve been preparing for slowly for about sometime but lengthy course is very discouraging because it is hard to retain all information
Not all, but yes a major portion of it! You have to do all the systems and basics as well. The only thing you don't have to focus much for FCPS part-I is psychiatry (not if you aren't appearing for part-I in psychiatry) and dermatology. Rest, you've to cover all the major stuff. Focus the most on systems, microbiology and all other minor subjects that are frequently examined. If you find it hard, you can do the minors from SK-KIM last revision notes or other shirt notes!

1)should we memorize the mcqs by heart ?
2) First Aid should be read for concept or memorized as well ?
all repeat just a little change in the repeated questions. MCQ pool of CPSP does the trick.

I am not the one who actually supports the concept of rote learning but the format of this exam is such that you will have to lond of memorize the MCQs as well . I would suggest you to first read First Aid for concepts and alongwith that you can do the MCQs with explanation from MediCall or other MCQ books. The more MCQs you do,the more are the chances that you'll pass because a lot of MCQs are repeated or else they change the statements a number of times. So,once you're done with reading all the necessary stuff,just do MCQs or SK golden files on daily basis.

Well,you need to have a look at it for once but if you don't have much time left then you can do it from SK-KIM last revision notes and then do the MCQs from MediCall MCQ book. No need to learn the courses of nerves and origins and insertions of muscles only clinical anatomy is important as far as I know! :)

You should start studying for FCPS part-I after your house job or start it by the end of your house job. Yes, house job is a must for FCPS part-I! :)

There are various study plans for all the FCPS part-I aspirants on the FCPS preparation groups especially the FCPS prep batch (2005-10) where you can find a plethora of stuff and for pathology as well. Search from there. I’m sure you’ll find the one that suits you. I’ll soon be making a video where I will be answering the most frequently asked questions regarding FCPS part-I by the aspirants and I’ll try to answer their questions. :)
Sir is PMC NLE exam / PMDC NEB exam for foreign graduates is same as Fcps part1 ???? Or there's any difference? Please clear m in your answer in comment or whatever else

Well,after reading all main books you need to practice all the past papers as much as you can from Golden files and MediCall MCQs book which contains topical MCQs
It is often said that more questions are asked about anatomy so do make sure that you brush up your knowledge of anatomy well prior to taking the examination. :)

Well,it is often said that questions from physiology are more frequently asked and even pathology. So, focus more on them. Having said that, it is not a hard and fast rule. You can be asked question from any of the subjects.

For entering the postgraduate training in paediatrics, you need to appear in medicine and allied . You don’t need to separately study paediatrics for it. Once you clear FCPS part 1 in medicine & allied, you can enter paediatric medicine and learn about it in those 4 years of training.

Apart from that, I told that First Aid and basic stuff is mandatory. You can choose SK-KIM or radiant notes or any other book that's upto you because every person has his/her own way of understanding things.
But, reading the basic books is mandatory and I told about my experience in this video so I told about SK.

What Should We Do CSS or FCPs ? after MBBS...
Well, that is a personal choice. It totally depends upon what you like. Whether you want to go for CSS or FCPS, decide it soon and not waste time because it becomes really confusing for those people who are dwindling between the two choices. Once you finalise it, stick to it! :)

No, you first need to focus on passing all your professional exams and then think about it all during or after house job. To become a surgeon, you’ve to take FCPS-I in surgery and allied discipline.

usmle 96 No, I don’t think so. You need to have a certain gap I guess. You can confirm this from CPSP, though! But, I believe that you should study for part 1 after your house job is over because house job is really hectic and it is tough to manage time !
