We stayed this past week at Teton Village, Snake River Lodge as an anniversary treat. Enjoyed the gondola after 5 when it was free. The near entrance was closed. Getting into or out of Jackson was crazy! We decided to eat lunch out and leave town early. We didn’t really find any great restaurants and stores are pricey . We were surprised at NOT seeing a lot of wildlife even though we were in park by 7 Had a much more reasonable stay in West Yellowstone. It is possible to stay in W.Yellowstone and drive to Teton for the day. Jenny Lake got crowded by 8:30 but other areas were not a problem since they are spread out.
Great advice Traveler 1983! We know the parks are super busy this summer and prices are insane. Glad you enjoyed the Teton Village, it is so much fun. It sucks there weren’t a lot of wildlife, I wonder if the crowds have suppressed wildlife this summer?
Wonderful information on where to stay - we look forward to visiting Grand Teton some year. Well done, my friends 👍. Big like and full play. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your Easter weekend 😀.
We stayed in a campervan on Buffalo Valley Rd. Free. We went to Upper Teton overlook first, but it was a mud pit and we were concerned about getting stuck. Buffalo Valley Rd is a much better option for disbursed camping.
We love to go in September and are planning to again this year. Our preference is to camp at Gro Ventre Campground. Last year a moose walked through our campsite! Magnificent!
When I was there, Gros Ventre, last year, there was a Moose and her calf. Right by the road along camp sites. This year saw a black bear from the car along Moose-Wilson Rd. Last year it was 30 feet away on a trail and another about 50 yards. I’ll preferable take the car. I’ll have to go in Sept. some time. Last year was august. This year end of July. Last year was a freak show with as many people that were trying to get out.
I visited the Grand Teton's this past summer and stayed in Jackson Hole, it was a fun spot to stay, busy & pricey but the downtown vibe was cool! I would've loved to camp in the park!
Hand Fired Pizza and SUDA Izakaya for food in Jackson. I’ve always felt that if I’m not in the backcountry, car camping, day hikes and Jackson are the best. Jackson is not that far away. Especially from Gros Ventre. Get done hiking, wipe down, hit Jackson. In Jackson is Snow King. It has activities in the summer. Zip Lining etc But the best experience is backcountry. To each his own.
Just watched the vid. How about Dornans, near Moose. It’s a perfect location for all areas and has all the facilities you need, great restaurants, wine shop, deli outfitters and a gas station. You can hire their cabins, but book early
Like I said in the last video Wyoming is over crowded with people who were on lockdown. What little traffic you see in this video is nothing. If you really want a great vacation in Wyoming pick another year. No camping spots. Motels are booked solid. People are waiting hours to get their food in restaurants. Does that sound fun?
Allie, our best advice would be to check the reviews on TripAdvisor and find one that best fits what you’re looking for. There are some full day, half day and I think morning and evening. The safaris can’t really guarantee seeing anything special, however they have knowledge and know the best spots. There are a number of reputable companies that offer this in the Tetons.
Park employees at onetime got employees discounts towards the end of the season. We pooled our money to score a 4 Star in JH. It has been a while. Make friends with an employee.
Thanks for your comment. According to the National Park Service website, Gros Ventre is the largest campground in GTNP. www.nps.gov/grte/planyourvisit/gros-ventre-campground.htm If you have information contrary to the NPS website, please share so we can accurately update the description of this video. Thanks!
If you've got a great spot to stay in the Grand Teton area, please share it in the comments below!

Thanks for watching!
It’s getting increasingly more expensive to stay in Jackson, but we love the area. Interested to see peoples tips.
Yes it is very expensive to stay there during high season

Good call West Yellowstone is the place to go

Haswell...many thanks and let us know if you have any questions about Tetons before you go at some point in the future!

Brent, is that in the park or outside of it?
@@AdamandMadalyn it's off 26 about 5 minutes from the Moran entrance. Buffalo Valley Rd is on the park map
Got it, thanks Brent!

Nice! Next time we go we’re probably going to go in the fall! Moose tend to do that, one scared the pants off of Adam in Teton Village!
Already getting lows in the 40s here in Idaho, so may be a colder September. Be prepared!

Great recommendations! 👍🏼 The mountain ranges look so epic and white water rafting looks like a lot of fun! Would love to try it someday 😄
Right all around!
Go in spring or fall, everything is so much more affordable and fun.
@@sissy-_-fnyc thanks for the recommendation 👍🏼
Thanks for the advice, going in September.
You’ll love it! Next time we are going to go it will probably be September as well so else can experience fall out there!
It would be such a dream to camp in Grand Teton National Park! Those views! Gorgeous! Great video. -Ben and Ang
Make that dream come true!
Great video, what do you think about staying at Colter Bay Village?
Amazing location. Jackson Lake is huge the views are stunning. You can get up to Yellowstone form their easily as well!

Spot on, totally agree!

Agreed, they’re better in person!
This is a great video! We have not been that park. We want to go... Now we really want to go! Thanks!
Thanks...you would not regret it!

Great advice! We really liked the Moose area!
Great video, thanks for sharing.

It’s the same with campgrounds. It’s no longer first come first serve.
Sorry if you said that.

You mentioned a safari tour. Any company you would recommend? We’re planning for July 2022.

Make sure you check out reservations before you come to Wyoming. Reservations for campgrounds and parks.

@@AdamandMadalyn look up colter bay village. I believe they have more camping sites.
Every place to stay pricey this time of year.m
Christine, you’re not wrong about that! It’s usually very pricy in the summer, early May and September typically a little cheaper
Yall left out Moran!
If you have a good suggestion for a place to stay please offer it up!
Hope you have tons of money because Jackson is no longer affordable to us Wyomingites.
ya'll are boring and you didn't answer my question
1. Thanks for letting us know Allan
2. We didn’t know your question ahead of time and still don’t 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏼♀️
