One piece is the best Anime of all time. I avoided it for like 15 years but when I finally decided to give it a chance it blew me away. They could do another thousand episodes and I'd still want more

@@deat-mq5xi Recency Bias isn't a thing with me. I tend to lean strongly towards nostalgia. It's been like 3 years since my last Naruto rewatch and though I love it One Piece is just superior. The highs are higher and the lows are ridiculously lower. I've never cried watching a show before and goodness did One piece almost get me like 10 times. Naruto has better overall fighting scenes but it doesn't come close in terms of story telling. Plus Naruto is over 40% filler whereas OP is under 10%
There were about 10 anime fans in the video, and 90 isekai fans who apparently don't watch anything else. Just give them an isekai ranking board so I can enjoy watching them tear themselves apart.
eh there aren't more than 15 good isekai's and they're pretty equal in popularity and from what i see they respect each other.. except if you count stuff like inuyasha.
I won't lie I was a little triggered Violet when you put Bleach on a lower tier.. but then I remembered how in the 1st few seasons of bleach Tite Kubo (creator) said how he was disgusted by the anime teams way of character development much different from his Manga to the point where he went and supervised the team himself to improve it which sufficed.. either way the pacing and action in bleach TYBW is amazing imo but yeah the Manga may b better, atleast for the original 2004-2012🙃
S+ tier and also the father of most of these shows because most of the creators of these new shows grew up watching it so they took inspiration as it was one of the few successful shows during the time, it’s literally what hunter x hunter’s father, and even though hunter d hunter is good, YYH is still Better

Castlevania, that is another one that deserves more love too But FLCL (the original) that was the best. Newer stuff not so much Scott Pilgrim: Takes Off is definitely a must watch

aside from DBZ, Naruto is clearly the most influential anime/manga in the anime/manga universe and we see it through: teams of 3, characters, rivalries, etc... (jujutsu kaisen, demon slayer, my hero academia, black clover, chainsaw man, fairy tail, etc...) so it's quite normal to see it in S tier because you can't put the copy in front of the original and the person in the video that said that "Naruto is overrated" I would have liked to listen to his arguments because if Naruto is overrated then it is deserved because of the impact and influence he had on the anime/mangas current

Naruto is in everybody's heart who have watched it already. Some people tries to put it down just to pretend that they are pro in anime and have watched better than naruto but there is none better than naruto. It's a classic and emotions and yeah some anime just copied naruto in some points. It is one of the GOATs that is why it is considered as one the BIG 3 in anime world.
The bleach manga is great, but it elevates the quality with the anime. I’d recommend to watch the Captain Amagai and Zanpakuto Rebellion in between Ichigo’s training with the visards Bount story’s first half is dog water, however the second half is WAY better Reigai story is the best quality of the anime-exclusive stories
Anyone that has questions about one piece should just watch the 6-hour documentary: The modern odyssey. You will either stop the doc and go watch the show, or you'll just get it. As far as the tier list goes it's hard to compare a show like Samurai champloo to demon slayer and bleach, when rurouni kenshin and basilisk are more similar. One piece on a tier list is just diminishing that show, nothing can be compared to it.
One Piece fans are the reason I don't want to watch the show or read the manga, especially when I KNOW it won't be in my top 2 so it would be pointless to invest so much time into it. I'd rather watch 100 random animes some good some bad than One Piece.
Just getting into Anime, only watched Yu Yu Hakusho, so seeing it in C tier got me excited to watch everything else until she said it was there because she hasn't watched it. Can someone else give me an accurate rating in this board specifically?
As you can see, there is no uniform order to this. But certain anime like one punch man is so much more enjoyable if you've watched one piece, or dragon ball. So, create a watchlist, and give every anime 1 episode to grab you. Your watchlist will slowly become your tier list. One piece is a terrible example here cause it's so long, most anime don't get to change as much as that show did.
Naurto is an A or B. The 4th great war was a mess, no rock lee and neji fight, the love ships are a mess, Sasuke and Orochimaru don't deserve a free get out of jail. At first Naurto was an underdog with fox demon powers then turns out he was destined to be great and reincarnated. So the fight with naurto and neji of debate of destiny go right out the window.
@cameron737___8 I think it would have been a pretty close to perfect ending if we ended it around the pain arch. Naruto finally gets the recognition he deserves. Yes it would leave a few plot holes unanswered but compared to all the answers being given. I think sometimes less is more. The fights can be really amazing when there is a mix of hand to hand combat and ninjutsu, like Kakashi and obito. Naruto getting closer from his parents definitely needed. Naruto and obito inner Chakra talk does hit hard showing how much he matured.
Imma need y'all to put some respect on DBZ's name. Half of the shonen series type are carbon copies of the big three Bleach, OnePiece, and Naruto but there wouldn't be a big three without the DB and DBZ. If you dont know anything about DBZ, I recommend to do a react video series to DBZ abridged, it covers the first 200 of 291 episodes of the original show in a very short amount of time and very funny with adult humor, would be a good way to familiarize yourself with the show and why it is so popular in the anime world.
Reading the original Dragon Ball is worth it and not very long. Your favorite shonen are inspired by it. I’ve only read the first few chapters of Super and thought it was dumb so can’t speak on the rest of it lol

It's because most of the people who did this tier list don't get the jokes since it's mainly got to do with Japanese Culture and they decide that mid series are more worth watching like Attack on Titan. And even then the times when it's serious is really good as well.
I agree, Naruto came out about the same time as one piece and opened the door to a lot of anime, shippuden was way better than the original Naruto in my opinion. a lot of anime protagonist characteristics and personality is based off of Naruto personality, they act just like him more or less and their beliefs and moral compass are identical
@cameron737___8 in "my personal opinion" it was the climax , like yeah the story line was good in the OG Naruto series but you get a deeper perspective of the characters in shippuden. They had goals in Naruto but to see them actually achieve them in shippuden and then the realization that there's more to it than they originally thought, the frustration, reunions etc it was long anticipated and they delivered to a T and that's not to say Naruto was trash I didn't expect all that to happen back then especially with them being 12 to 13 at the time and having idealistic expectations its just Naruto grew on me and by the time shippuden arrives I was already emotionally invested and plus I could relate to older Naruto more, I grew up without a father and didn't know my mother until I was about 15 because I had been taken from her as a baby due to legal reasons, having friends who betrayed my trust, reuniting with friends I thought I'd never see again. I grew up with a rough life so it might be a bit bias but I just relate to it on a whole other level
@@cameron737___8 it wasn't better , most of it was boring and filler with a boring war arc apart from madara being revealed as obito and Madara's revival , Pain arc was the only really good one followed by the 5 kage summit , original naruto had Chunin exams , land of waves arc , sasuke retrival arc with the final battle final valley. Plus a lot cooler moments i.e itachi putting kakashi in genjutsu , rock lee vs gara, kimimaro almost killing gaara and rock lee then dying of illness .... then shipudden comes along and ruins rock lee and neji and that lame kaguya plot twist booooooo

Happy that Code Geass is S tier. best anime ending for me and Lelouch is still to this day my favorite anime character. Vinland Saga after season 2 is definitely S tier now. Vinland Saga deserves to win anime of the year and Thorfinn best main character if 2023. Attack on Titan should be S tier too. They wrapped it up well. It was a realistic bitter-sweet ending
Although I like Mob Psycho, I don’t think it belongs to S tier at all, A or maybe even B, and it has to be replaced with AoT for sure, Titans deserve to be an S tier, it’s one of the most genius anime ever

A lot of the animes on this tier list I have not watched, I don't watch a lot of anime admittedly, but Yugioh, DBZ, One Pice, Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist did get me started on it, but I do have issues with them; Yugioh, if we're going with the Classic series then yes, it's somewhere in the S, A and B tiers but there are too many spinoffs these days, DBZ was my first action anime but it is dragging on with spin-offs so I'll put it in B tier, One Piece another action anime I liked but it's been dragging on for too long and needs an ending so it'll go into B tier but I will say that the Netflix live adaptation looks pretty good so it might bump it up to A tier, Naruto... dragged on for a while and there was a lot of filler, so I'll give it a respectable C tier, Fullmetal Alchemist easily S tier anime no doubt had everything I could want and I actually met Vic Mignogna some years ago at a convention. Some of the anime I have watched mightn't be very high on the Tier list, but I'll list them off; Goblin Slayer I'll put somewhere between A and B, Highschool of the Dead in A and it badly needs to be continued but doubtful that will happen, Hellsing will go somewhere between S and A mostly because I watched the Abridged series by TFS, Monster Musume somewhere between B and C, Castlevania I know, not technically or strictly Japanese Shonen anime, but it does a damn good job of it so I'll put it somewhere between S and A. That's about all the anime I've ever watched, so bring it on!

It’s honestly sad to see so many people hate a great anime for no valid reason. The only reason you ever hear is “I hate My Hero Academia, because the fan base is toxic.”, news flash, that’s 99% of every anime fan base ever! There’s not a single non toxic anime fan base. Every anime fan base lives in the valley of toxicity! So to say that you hate My Hero Academia, because of the “toxic fan base”, is a completely invalid reason to hate the show. What does the fan base have to do with the show itself? The fan base didn’t write the show, they didn’t produce the show, they didn’t direct the show, they didn’t create the show, so why does the fan base control how you view the anime? I believe that the true reason My Hero Academia gets so much hate is for two reasons. 1. It’s one of the most successful anime to ever exist, and the numbers speaks for itself, with well over 100 million manga sales and counting. Hatred is one of the most basic and primal human emotions, and hating something that’s successful is just as basic and primal. Humans can’t help but to hate what’s more successful than themselves, or something that they love, hence why My Hero Academia gets so much undeserved hate. For many years since it’s released back in 2014 (Manga), and 2016 (Anime), it’s been a successful powerhouse winning multiple Crunchyroll awards consecutive years in a row, viewership and reader numbers breaking records, landing multiple collaboration deals with companies like the NBA, Fortnite, Universal Studios Japan, etc., that much success makes My Hero Academia a prime target for hatred. I even had people look me in my eyes and say “I’ve never watched My Hero Academia, because I refuse to believe that something can be that successful, AND still be that good.” It sounds ridiculous, because it is! Imagine not even giving an anime a chance simply, because it’s successful. It’s a delusional thought process, and that’s the biggest reason My Hero Academia gets so much undeserved hate, because of people who think this way. 2. People are sheep, and in the anime community, the most popular thing to do is hate My Hero Academia, and if you don’t hate My Hero Academia, you’re an outcast and “not a real anime fan.”, and no one likes being an outcast, so the obvious thing to do is be a sheep by hating on an anime that everyone else tells you to. It’s a weak mindset and you should never be ok with being a sheep who blindly listens to what everyone else tells you to do, because you’re afraid of rejection. Don’t let other people prevent you from enjoying an amazing anime. If people would stop hating and being sheep, they’d realize that My Hero Academia is actually a MASTERPIECE! The story is very well written, with so much emotion put into it that you can feel it, the music is incredible and immerses you into the story even further, the animation is FIRE thanks to Studio Bones, the voice acting is amazing in both the Japanese and English dubs, the characters are incredible and never go underutilized, the quirks are so unique, and the quirks you would never expect to work, somehow works, etc. there’s so many things that makes My Hero Academia a masterpiece that sits on top with a lot of the other anime masterpieces. Those are my personal thoughts on the matter, and I hope the world can learn to let go of unnecessary hatred, and stop being sheep. Life is a whole lot better when you stop doing those two things.

One Piece fans are the reason I don't want to watch the show or read the manga, especially when I KNOW it won't be in my top 2 so it would be pointless to invest so much time into it. I'd rather watch 100 random animes some good some bad than One Piece.
Just getting into Anime, only watched Yu Yu Hakusho, so seeing it in C tier got me excited to watch everything else until she said it was there because she hasn't watched it. Can someone else give me an accurate rating in this board specifically?
As you can see, there is no uniform order to this. But certain anime like one punch man is so much more enjoyable if you've watched one piece, or dragon ball. So, create a watchlist, and give every anime 1 episode to grab you. Your watchlist will slowly become your tier list. One piece is a terrible example here cause it's so long, most anime don't get to change as much as that show did.

Naurto is an A or B. The 4th great war was a mess, no rock lee and neji fight, the love ships are a mess, Sasuke and Orochimaru don't deserve a free get out of jail. At first Naurto was an underdog with fox demon powers then turns out he was destined to be great and reincarnated. So the fight with naurto and neji of debate of destiny go right out the window.

@cameron737___8 I think it would have been a pretty close to perfect ending if we ended it around the pain arch. Naruto finally gets the recognition he deserves. Yes it would leave a few plot holes unanswered but compared to all the answers being given. I think sometimes less is more.
The fights can be really amazing when there is a mix of hand to hand combat and ninjutsu, like Kakashi and obito. Naruto getting closer from his parents definitely needed. Naruto and obito inner Chakra talk does hit hard showing how much he matured.

If you dont know anything about DBZ, I recommend to do a react video series to DBZ abridged, it covers the first 200 of 291 episodes of the original show in a very short amount of time and very funny with adult humor, would be a good way to familiarize yourself with the show and why it is so popular in the anime world.
Reading the original Dragon Ball is worth it and not very long. Your favorite shonen are inspired by it. I’ve only read the first few chapters of Super and thought it was dumb so can’t speak on the rest of it lol

I agree, Naruto came out about the same time as one piece and opened the door to a lot of anime, shippuden was way better than the original Naruto in my opinion. a lot of anime protagonist characteristics and personality is based off of Naruto personality, they act just like him more or less and their beliefs and moral compass are identical

@cameron737___8 in "my personal opinion" it was the climax , like yeah the story line was good in the OG Naruto series but you get a deeper perspective of the characters in shippuden. They had goals in Naruto but to see them actually achieve them in shippuden and then the realization that there's more to it than they originally thought, the frustration, reunions etc it was long anticipated and they delivered to a T and that's not to say Naruto was trash I didn't expect all that to happen back then especially with them being 12 to 13 at the time and having idealistic expectations its just Naruto grew on me and by the time shippuden arrives I was already emotionally invested and plus I could relate to older Naruto more, I grew up without a father and didn't know my mother until I was about 15 because I had been taken from her as a baby due to legal reasons, having friends who betrayed my trust, reuniting with friends I thought I'd never see again. I grew up with a rough life so it might be a bit bias but I just relate to it on a whole other level

@@cameron737___8 it wasn't better , most of it was boring and filler with a boring war arc apart from madara being revealed as obito and Madara's revival , Pain arc was the only really good one followed by the 5 kage summit , original naruto had Chunin exams , land of waves arc , sasuke retrival arc with the final battle final valley. Plus a lot cooler moments i.e itachi putting kakashi in genjutsu , rock lee vs gara, kimimaro almost killing gaara and rock lee then dying of illness .... then shipudden comes along and ruins rock lee and neji and that lame kaguya plot twist booooooo

Happy that Code Geass is S tier. best anime ending for me and Lelouch is still to this day my favorite anime character. Vinland Saga after season 2 is definitely S tier now. Vinland Saga deserves to win anime of the year and Thorfinn best main character if 2023. Attack on Titan should be S tier too. They wrapped it up well. It was a realistic bitter-sweet ending

A lot of the animes on this tier list I have not watched, I don't watch a lot of anime admittedly, but Yugioh, DBZ, One Pice, Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemist did get me started on it, but I do have issues with them; Yugioh, if we're going with the Classic series then yes, it's somewhere in the S, A and B tiers but there are too many spinoffs these days, DBZ was my first action anime but it is dragging on with spin-offs so I'll put it in B tier, One Piece another action anime I liked but it's been dragging on for too long and needs an ending so it'll go into B tier but I will say that the Netflix live adaptation looks pretty good so it might bump it up to A tier, Naruto... dragged on for a while and there was a lot of filler, so I'll give it a respectable C tier, Fullmetal Alchemist easily S tier anime no doubt had everything I could want and I actually met Vic Mignogna some years ago at a convention. Some of the anime I have watched mightn't be very high on the Tier list, but I'll list them off; Goblin Slayer I'll put somewhere between A and B, Highschool of the Dead in A and it badly needs to be continued but doubtful that will happen, Hellsing will go somewhere between S and A mostly because I watched the Abridged series by TFS, Monster Musume somewhere between B and C, Castlevania I know, not technically or strictly Japanese Shonen anime, but it does a damn good job of it so I'll put it somewhere between S and A. That's about all the anime I've ever watched, so bring it on!

Imagine putting My Hero Academia at E tier because you “don’t like the fandom and have a bias towards the fandom”. It’s literally sheep like her that ruins the anime community. How does a fan base dictate the show itself? If she would get past her person bias, she would realize My Hero Academia is a literal masterpiece and deserves an S tier spot.
It’s honestly sad to see so many people hate a great anime for no valid reason. The only reason you ever hear is “I hate My Hero Academia, because the fan base is toxic.”, news flash, that’s 99% of every anime fan base ever! There’s not a single non toxic anime fan base. Every anime fan base lives in the valley of toxicity!
So to say that you hate My Hero Academia, because of the “toxic fan base”, is a completely invalid reason to hate the show. What does the fan base have to do with the show itself? The fan base didn’t write the show, they didn’t produce the show, they didn’t direct the show, they didn’t create the show, so why does the fan base control how you view the anime? I believe that the true reason My Hero Academia gets so much hate is for two reasons.
1. It’s one of the most successful anime to ever exist, and the numbers speaks for itself, with well over 100 million manga sales and counting. Hatred is one of the most basic and primal human emotions, and hating something that’s successful is just as basic and primal. Humans can’t help but to hate what’s more successful than themselves, or something that they love, hence why My Hero Academia gets so much undeserved hate.
For many years since it’s released back in 2014 (Manga), and 2016 (Anime), it’s been a successful powerhouse winning multiple Crunchyroll awards consecutive years in a row, viewership and reader numbers breaking records, landing multiple collaboration deals with companies like the NBA, Fortnite, Universal Studios Japan, etc., that much success makes My Hero Academia a prime target for hatred.
I even had people look me in my eyes and say “I’ve never watched My Hero Academia, because I refuse to believe that something can be that successful, AND still be that good.” It sounds ridiculous, because it is! Imagine not even giving an anime a chance simply, because it’s successful. It’s a delusional thought process, and that’s the biggest reason My Hero Academia gets so much undeserved hate, because of people who think this way.
2. People are sheep, and in the anime community, the most popular thing to do is hate My Hero Academia, and if you don’t hate My Hero Academia, you’re an outcast and “not a real anime fan.”, and no one likes being an outcast, so the obvious thing to do is be a sheep by hating on an anime that everyone else tells you to. It’s a weak mindset and you should never be ok with being a sheep who blindly listens to what everyone else tells you to do, because you’re afraid of rejection. Don’t let other people prevent you from enjoying an amazing anime.
If people would stop hating and being sheep, they’d realize that My Hero Academia is actually a MASTERPIECE! The story is very well written, with so much emotion put into it that you can feel it, the music is incredible and immerses you into the story even further, the animation is FIRE thanks to Studio Bones, the voice acting is amazing in both the Japanese and English dubs, the characters are incredible and never go underutilized, the quirks are so unique, and the quirks you would never expect to work, somehow works, etc. there’s so many things that makes My Hero Academia a masterpiece that sits on top with a lot of the other anime masterpieces.
Those are my personal thoughts on the matter, and I hope the world can learn to let go of unnecessary hatred, and stop being sheep. Life is a whole lot better when you stop doing those two things.
