DS games are never region locked. The only thing which are region locked are the DSi exclusive software (the one that you can download and that stuff).
Well there is that option to just watch a song ya know? And I doubt they would just let them sing. They are probably gonna have the other Idols in it for their little snadbox mode thing xD
Uhm...She is there. She is talking to Eri but you just don't hear her voice. D: Every idol is in this game including Takane and Hibiki from SP. So don't worry :D;;

Hm... well I'm not exactly happy about not getting to play the old cast :/ As for the new girls, Eri's really cute but I don't really like Ai or Ryo's designs very much. Vocally, you can't hear them on their own very much but Ai sounds pretty good. Eri sounds like Iori, whose voice I've never been a big fan of. You can barely hear Ryo at all but what I can hear sounds really good. I hope they release an album or more trailers soon. I really want to hear more of their voices :)

And plus, the dialogue you hear is new and not in any other iM@S game, but the voices are the same....so yeah this is a real game. Rejoice. I heard that it's region locked somehow, though. 3DSで続編期待してたんだよなぁ
この頃の無駄にキラキラしてない感じが好き
中古で買いました。
まだ愛ちゃんルートの半分しかやってないけどストーリーしっかりしててDSなのにボイスも多いし楽しいです。
知名度低いのもったいない。

Pls prove this, Play-Asia says in their pre-orders that it is NOT region-locked.

Not to spoil anything, but... It seems that there is a trap in this game.
