My suggestion for trying to keep the simulation as realistic as possible is doing something very similar to what you did for the season: Simcast the game and hop in the 4th quarter to try to lead a comeback/steal a game/put the game away. This way you arent in control of the entire game, but still have a huge impact. Only playing the 4th quarter would also make sense since you are the KOT4Q.

You run the risk of maybe playing both games too early and not getting to play a vital game seven or you play it safe and save your 2 games but you also run the risk of losing to the simulation.
