I don't think I can choose all the slots, but I'll do my best! Not Your Seed and Show Stopping Number are my top two - I dunno in which order, depends on my mood - and last is probably Let Him Come, just because most of it's already in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals. I dunno if I'd put Roasted Coffee or Poisoned Coffee in front of the other - purely by listening, probably Poisoned, but the dance moves of Roasted miight give it an edge (plus I can't say no to 'dECAF? WHAAAAAAAT?') La Dee Dah Dah Day would be there, but I think that TGWDLM would edge it out, just cuz... I dunno, I like it better. Honestly, LDDDD is not my favorite song. I dunno why. What Do You Want, Paul would get an edge because of Jeff's facial expressions - plus snowman girl - but it's not my absolute top. I like his acting and facial expressions, but its always his singing that just makes me wince. I get that he's supposed to sound disturbing, but in my opinion at least, he just sounds really pitchy and it just makes him seem like a bad singer when in reality he seems to have an okay voice
America is great again isn't that good in my opinion idk why. But I agree that Inevitable is awesome edit: I have mixed feelings about America is great again BTW like it's good but I'm not a politics person so I don't get all the small pokes at politics

I swear I thought I was literally the only person who really liked America is Great Again. It’s been stuck in my head for weeks, and I love how clever the lyrics are- just the stuff like the subtle inclusion of the phrase “The Final Solution,” if anybody else is actually interested in remembering that stuff, makes it seem like so much care was put into writing this song. Like that line had to be 100% intentional, right? I’m not just reading into it too much?
and coincidentally, I was just reading a book about The Final Solution to the Jewish Question that a teacher lent me, so that line hit me like a ton of bricks
Same! God, that is the song where you think about the implications (lol) and realize what this plague would actually mean for humanity. Jeff is absolutely a master for songs and lyrics, and he really shone in this show. So many different styles, from classic musical to the heartbreaking and the truly creepy and terrifying.
Oh every bit of it is intentional and you can tell by the way Jeff looks at the audience that he knows exactly what he's doing, and he's a national hero for it tbh

Molly Pocrass the reason it’s so special is a mix of the hips and the fact that a villain just stopped the plot to pitch his musical as the world ends. I like the song itself too, but it’s more the fact that it happened than the song itself
Who Cares? It’s super fun, it’s definitely in my top half because I’ve never even been tempted to skip it, but honestly there are so many stronger songs
THEORY that doesn’t really relate to this work of art video: Because of Professor Hidgens line in Let It Out (“Its your proximity to the meteor Paul! The air is thick with its spores-“) we can assume that his apotheosis was simply airborne spores. However, when he destroyed the meteor, Paul was still part of himself. In Inevitable, he drops many lines (“I’m still the man you trust” and “You has to sing to survive”) that could mean he was acting. Also, he says, “Emma! Let me puke in your mouth.” as opposed to ripping out her stomach, which would save her life. Also, this could be a reference to her throwing up blood which is a memory only Paul would have. Lots of people theorize that he’s still Paul, but even if he was how could he dance with the aliens in time? I believe Paul is still himself, but has alien spores connecting him to the hive. This way, aliens think he is one of them and he can dance and sing in sync, but is still mostly human.
Ben Domenchini i think the Hive Mind has the ability to heal injuries. hidgens had his stomach ripped out but it healed by 'let it out'. same with macnamera, he got shot by emma but he could still move his arm and stuff. so i think Paul has the regeneration powers and the other goodies that the Hive Mind comes with, but he's still human

I know, right? They're both amazing songs. To me, Inevitable and What if Tomorrow Comes are some of StarKid's strongest closing numbers. They perfectly combine horror, mystery, and satisfaction.

Inevitable and Not Your Seed are my favs. I agree with a lot of this list, but I’d put Join Us and Die higher along with La Dee Dah Dah Day. I’d also put America’s Great Again lower, and Cup of Roasted Coffee a few spots higher.
Reasons why I love America is Great Again (even more than Show Stopping Number): 1. LYRICS (favorites: "two party system: left and right/there's only room for right or wrong", "We're great again/No answers to be found..."). Just haunting. 2. Great punchline (+ helped by live audience reaction as they realize) 3. Great harmonies (good live but they sound even better on the soundtrack) It definitely deserves a top 3 spot, for the show, and that's the tea.
So here’s my probably unpopular opinion: To be quite honest, I’ve only seen praise about Not Your Seed, but I might be wrong. I loved Mariah’s voice in it, I just really didn’t really like the song. It didn’t stick with me. (Other the emotional background). But other than that, this is your opinion and I think it’s a great list. I’m so glad you put Inevitable and Let it Out on your top 5! They’re my 1 and 2 respectively. (I DID NOT SEE AMERICA IS GREAT AGAIN COMING ON SECOND AND THAT MADE ME REALLY HAPPY AS WELL LOVED IT)

I feel like Inevitable is criminally underrated! The first time I watched it I completely freaked out, and I still get goosebumps at the Show Stopping Number reprise. The song itself is a complete bop and acting that accompanies it is incredible.

Jeff is absolutely a master for songs and lyrics, and he really shone in this show. So many different styles, from classic musical to the heartbreaking and the truly creepy and terrifying.

Because of Professor Hidgens line in Let It Out (“Its your proximity to the meteor Paul! The air is thick with its spores-“) we can assume that his apotheosis was simply airborne spores.
However, when he destroyed the meteor, Paul was still part of himself. In Inevitable, he drops many lines (“I’m still the man you trust” and “You has to sing to survive”) that could mean he was acting. Also, he says, “Emma! Let me puke in your mouth.” as opposed to ripping out her stomach, which would save her life.
Also, this could be a reference to her throwing up blood which is a memory only Paul would have.
Lots of people theorize that he’s still Paul, but even if he was how could he dance with the aliens in time?
I believe Paul is still himself, but has alien spores connecting him to the hive. This way, aliens think he is one of them and he can dance and sing in sync, but is still mostly human.

Inevitable and Not Your Seed are my favs. I agree with a lot of this list, but I’d put Join Us and Die higher along with La Dee Dah Dah Day. I’d also put America’s Great Again lower, and Cup of Roasted Coffee a few spots higher.

Reasons why I love America is Great Again (even more than Show Stopping Number):
1. LYRICS (favorites: "two party system: left and right/there's only room for right or wrong", "We're great again/No answers to be found..."). Just haunting.
2. Great punchline (+ helped by live audience reaction as they realize)
3. Great harmonies (good live but they sound even better on the soundtrack)

To be quite honest, I’ve only seen praise about Not Your Seed, but I might be wrong. I loved Mariah’s voice in it, I just really didn’t really like the song. It didn’t stick with me. (Other the emotional background).

I feel like Inevitable is criminally underrated! The first time I watched it I completely freaked out, and I still get goosebumps at the Show Stopping Number reprise. The song itself is a complete bop and acting that accompanies it is incredible.
