    Although its a size preference, I see a lot of improvement that can be made with your edc items that would then allow you to accommodate your anker power bank. Specifically a 140w anker power supply (smaller than your mac charger and also has enough juice for your cell and other items). You can replace all those wires with a single highspeed 6 in 1 cable charger (make room and upgrade cables at the same time) They have smaller, brighter, and more efficient lights to make more room in your tech pouch. Olight, fenix, nitecore, etc.. Again, your reason for wanting to upgrade in size is solely based off of the items you currently carry (which is totally ok) but worth upgrading. Nice video!

      A radical shift of thinking! I like it! Always room for improvement in this game!

    I first bought the Alpaca Mini Tech Bag - Did not find the "perfect" place to stand up my iPhone Pro upright & my iPad mini fit a little to snug I returned it & got the Tech Bag (mid size). I have been using it for 3 months while traveling in my Van Conversion in the Southwest.
    Now I have the "right" place for the most used stuff ( phone - wallet - keys - AirPods - lip balm). Every other EDC (and there is a sh*t ton that actually fits) They all found their place -- eventually! Having a pen in the loop impedes using the pockets below it - so I don't use it to hold my pen or anything for that matter.
    You get used to reaching for the side grab handle or at times just man handling it by the top. I exclusively carry it a sling bag (on hikes, shoping & bicycle rides) and have no interest in the accessory strap to stablize it. Since you access the bag as a sling while you are wearing it from the back a Pro Tip would be to always access the bag from the back - that way with muscle & brain memory it facilities locating what's in the bag - For me "often' without having to even look - For Real Son... The ability to stand it up is so nice as the mini did not stand up on its own & that was a PITA.
    So - daily use for 3 months I am very happy with the bag. The bigger one would only oblige me to add more stuff in it. - so I'll stick with this ohe.
    BTW fully loaded the bag weighs 5 lbs 9 oz & appears to manage it just fine!!!

      Yeah I want to try the bigger one. But I definitely have enough pouches for the time being!

    Elements tech case is the perfect fit for you. I have one, but the Aer City sling 2 in Xpac has become my go to.

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah I'll probably pick one up at some point! I just posted a review of the Aer Day Sling 3 Max (which I also like a lot).

  • @mrth21990
    @mrth21990 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Thanks for the video. I like the size of this sling as it fit my needs perfectly. But I am wondering if it can be worn on waist or hip?

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      It could! But the problem is for a hip or waist you want a strap with a buckle you can undo for ease of putting it on or off. It doesn’t have that so I think there are better options available if that is what you really want to do.

    • @mrth21990
      @mrth21990 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KendrickDischCreative yeah I found another reviewer wearing this on hip with the pro strap. I am still waiting for the tech case to come to me, so let's see how it works :D

    Thanks for the video. Debating between the regular and the mini. Alpaka shows the total thickness on the mini as 50mm spread between 25mm for the main compartment and 25mm for the front zip. My question is whether you can put something that's 50mm thick in the main compartment, foregoing the use of the front zip.

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      I just tried it with something that was 45mm. I think the answer is yes it will zip up, but you are probably giving up the use of all interior pockets as well.

    Hi, nice video. I've been using the Elements Tech Case Mini for 2 weeks now. Yeah, also hope it is a little bit bigger than this. But, that's why they called it a 'Mini', I guess.
    The material was awesome and this is also my 1st-time experience with the X-Pac fabrics. Still in testing mode right now and it's too early for me to give the rating for the bag/case.
    Cheers from Malaysia. 😎🙏👍

      @@KendrickDischCreative I'm not a big guy. So, I prefer bags with no more than 4 liters of capacity. Not too small nor too big, if u know what I mean.
      Right now, AER Go Sling 2 really caught my attention. Probably because of its size and design. Another really tempting sling bag is the old one, Heimplanet Transit Line Sling (2 liters). I found both got the criteria that I want for a sling bag.
      What do u think and do u have any suggestions? 🙂

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  ปีที่แล้ว

      I like big bags and I cannot lie! The smaller ones usually don't hold enough for me and often I want something that I can fit a water bottle in and carry a camera with. I have yet to try any AER or Heimplant products (although both are on my list to try). I would definitely go scope out @ChaseReeves here on youtube and see what he's got to share about small slings.

  • @lallaboy1

    hey, this is a cool bag. I also see the black & grey. Any difference in the materials or just the colors? in the long run, only black color might survive keeping the dirt away.... what do you think...the green color is tempting too.. 😬

    • @KendrickDischCreative
      @KendrickDischCreative  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I wouldn’t think there’s much difference beyond the colors. The gray one is new and that one looks great! But honestly all three colors look pretty good! I have another alpaka pouch I haven’t reviewed yet in all black and I think I’d go with a color if I had to choose.

    • @HisGraceHisGlory
      @HisGraceHisGlory ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@KendrickDischCreative Big difference in the fabrics, the olive you have is X42 X-Pac and the other colors are VX21 X-Pac. Think a cordura 210 nylon vs a Cordura 420 nylon. Next above the X42 is the X50 and the latest X51 material. This X-Pac is the exact same material the multi-million dollar racing yachts use for their main sails. Outstanding stuff, it does not get any better than this!

      Thanks for chiming in and giving better answers! I was actually on a sailboat for the first time a few weeks ago and got up close to feel the sail and look closely at it. Sure enough it looks and feels the same, but it seemed like they were using quite a few layers of it for the sail.

    You know what would really make that olive green pop? Some brown accents, like the zipper strips and sling. As a former U.S. Marine, I think olive green with black accents is just so ‘80s.
