What a wonderful rendition! Its nice watching Kyle play, hes trul a master. But watching someone who is still learning is a great experience too. You should really keep playing, i think youre extremely talented.
This was excellent work. I have been obsessed with this song lately and I'm so happy I found you playing it. The piano is amazing and so are you, the player. This must have taken a considerable amount of work to learn. What a wonderful result of your effort!
@@CamilleCasie Btw, at 2:47 when you are adding other notes into your right hand while still keeping the melody going... Is there a term for that technique? Either way, how to get better at it?
@@Derren82 maybe voicing? Something that has helped me is when practicing slow, I’ll focus on playing the melody notes louder and legato, and the accompanying notes softer and staccato. Recording myself has also helped a lot in gauging if the melody is voiced too strong or too soft. Not sure if that helps; hopefully it does☺️ it works for me at least lol😅
Camille, you play beautifully and obviously read quite well, also. I want to learn this piece and was concerned about the difficulty of the runs at 5:30, but you play them slightly slower than Kyle which makes me realize I can take them at my own pace, and work up to playing them at speed. Sometimes beautiful women can get quite far in life just on their looks, so they don't develop a lot of emotional depth. But you play with so much feeling, I think your heart must be as beautiful as what's on the outside. Bravo. Which model Kawai are you playing? Is that a GL-10 or GL-20? Does it have the carbon-fiber action? I was surprised how good the bass sounds, for that piano's length. I just bought a 7-foot Baldwin SF10, with Renner action, but if the action can't be regulated close to concert level I might think about changing it for the Wessell Nickel & Gross carbon fiber components. Keep playing and recording -- you are an inspiration to us all!
Thank you so much for your kind words! This is a GX-1, and yes, it has the carbon fiber action. Congrats on getting a new piano, and good luck learning this piece! It’s worth all the work practicing.
@@CamilleCasie Thanks for your encouragement. Do you think the carbon fiber action is a noticeable improvement over other pianos you've played? The piano I bought is still being shipped to me (in Texas, the US.) It was a concert-level piano when new, but is older now (they don't make them anymore) so I will have to decide whether the action should be replaced. I don't know anyone who has the carbon fiber, but I hear it might be slightly "faster"? Like you, I played when I was younger, then stopped for a while. I can't play the opening arpeggios in the 3rd movement of Moonlight Sonata on my electronic piano; I think its action is "too slow," or... my technique might just be worse, now. So I'm looking for the "speediest" action, if mine is replaced. I think you're too modest about your skills; you play well enough to know the difference between "great" action and "just okay." It would be good to hear that another pianist is able to take on higher-level pieces because she picked a piano with the right action. Is that one of the reasons you chose your Kawai? I'll never be Kyle Landry. But your willingness to play what you love, so WELL (and better than you give yourself credit for!) inspires me to return to MY first love -- music. Kyle is the impossible dream, but people like you are the inspiration that keeps the rest of us going. THANK YOU. And please -- continue!
So beautiful 💐
Thank you!
You’re insane for even attempting this!😂 You’re also incredibly talented! Bravo, encore!!!

@@CamilleCasie This helps a ton, I've been self teaching myself for a few years and never knew how to properly execute it 😅 Thanks a lot :)
Really courageous to cover Kyle Landry himself !
Nailed it.
Could improve tempo, but this is already great !
Kyle would be proud, congrats !
