4:57 To answer smi77ys question, try having someone put their knee just above the small of your back and put all their weight on it. Good luck getting up. We do that cause it's a pressure point, not sure about the whole jump thing though. Way I was shown was to get control of both their arms, pull them straight back behind them and put your knee in their back and if you're only trying to apprehend them bring them down to the ground slowly, if your going for a kill... there are much better ways of doing that. I guess they're going for a quick stun before the finishing blow, theatrics and all that.

Agreed, over exaggerated animation but very effective. Even if you miss the "pressure point" as CMD Howl said and hit the spine, shoulder blade, or frankly an part of the body with that much force you'll certainly do some serious damage. Love the video smitty!!!!
Also as somone who did BJJ and Krav for a while, I've seen methods similar used even without control of other features. Usually the situation given is an unarmed CQC. And when I have seen it used or practiced it has been a knee to the chest, sternum or even dropping (to a knee) your shin to the throat. Regardless of the animation looking bad ass, probably wouldn't want to jump unless there deaf.
