Montclair Express Car Wash

Montclair Express Car Wash opened in June of 2023 on Central Ave in the city of Montclair, CA. It is a full new NCS project, complete with MacNeil tunnel equipment, FX branded extra services, and a Vacutech vacuum system. The wash tunnel has a 145' MacNeil XR-1000 conveyor with 2 RS-1000 top brushes, RS-701 SuperFlex wraps, RS-400 22" and RS-301side washers, a pair of Wheel Bosses, RS-550 Sonics wheel brushes, a Magnum high pressure arch,10 producer Tech 21 drying system, EvoShine drying top brush, and Gloss Boss. Montclair Express uses NCS CSI and CleanTouch chemicals, and their top wash includes the lava bath, tri color, BlazeFX, ShieldFX, double wheel cleaning, and tire shine. The EvoShine was not in use during my visit.

Very interesting like always in your videos. In Finland conveyors have slower speed. One difference is that we don't use so much foam and high pressure is always before the brushes. High pressure is meant to clean very dirty car before brushes so they stay clean. Also contouring dryer is typical and it's more complex adding cost to the system. In conveyor systems I always look how well wraparounds clean back of the vehicle. This seems to do well.

I've always been interested to the in bay automatic systems you use! A lot of the time they're stationed outside away from the fuel station or car wash. Do you know why that is?

Modern automatic car washes (including this one) use closed-cell foam brush material, which does not hold dirt or cause clear coat damage.
