- Hey guys, welcome back to the second video of the weekend! Today we're discussing what happened to the Brutes after Halo 3, in lieu of Halo Wars 2's reintroduction of them being not too far away now! H Y P E
Next time I want to discuss the possibilities and reasoning behind artistic designs from the old trilogy and classic art design returning in Halo 6, much to the reassurance of those, like myself, who aren't huge fans of the newer artstyle xD

Dude I freakin love those. And ones that berserk but then get launched by explosions. Mainly the reason they explode is that I explode them. And they melee the cores.
My favorite brute is the one that tried to hit me with his hammer but misses and smashes a fusion coil. I've never seen a 2 ton ape fly so high.

Blackandfan you can easily get 2 brute assassinations in New Alexandria in Reach. When you first meet the Brutes, run over to the one that has a civilian and assassinate him. Then run ahead, there will be another with a different civilian, when he stomps him on the ground, go for it

The weapons they had were very fun and unique
Imagine how insanely powerful the brutes were. Standing nearly 9 feet tall and pure muscle. Even Chief struggled in the books.

I'm glad someone else besides me really appreciated that setup; his entire pack stands in a circle and lets you two duel it out before they jump in for revenge.
I just remember getting hit with the hammer and thena lazer beam that shot me through a wall and I ended up at the end of the map.

This wasn't really necessary, we fought the Brutes in Halo 4 and 5! remember in Halo 4 when you climb out of the elevator shaft and that scary, monstrous brute comes at you with the energy sword?
I do think its weird that the Noble Elite's homeworld is crawling with thuggish brutes in Halo 5.... Arbiter also seems to have been turned into a brute as well...
But speaking of brutes, we need to know about the elites? What happened to them after halo3?!?

I was playing the level (insert name) where you had to reach Truth's ship. In the final area i had shot a brute with a shotgun yet he lived, and replied by beating his chest and shouting "I'm invincible!"
I then proceeded to prove him wrong via one more round to the face. lol

I would love to see a collaboration with your channel, and others like Late Night Gaming and The Act Man to either rewrite Halo 5's story, or create the ideal story ark for Halo 6.

My favorite Jiralhanae character is Atriox. He's a genius in terms of military tactics and a master at persuasion, as we saw him persuading the Silent Shadow to betray Resa and join him.
My favorite Jiralhanae versions are the Reach look. They look more alien than just apps and they look as savage as their culture is.

I actually *despise* the appearance of the Jiralhanae in Halo: Reach for a multitude of reasons. It's as though the Jiralhanae in Reach were malnourished and poorly treated by their Sangheili Commanders, given how disgustingly awful their appearance in Reach was.
I would also like to point out that the Jiralhanae's culture is more complex than being mere "savages" that much as the community assumes them to be. The First Immolation itself, the war which led to the collapse of their civilisation prior to their encounter with the Covenant wasn't done due to the idea of Brutes fighting for the sake of fighting, the conflict had revolved around two primary skeins, each of which who had different views on the path the Jiralhanae should take (to remain more rigid to established traditions and to seek power, or to become more sophisticated and better their situation), not unlike the Sangheili's current predicament. Hell, the fact that the Jiralhanae were able to redevelop radio and rocketry show that the Jiralhanae are not moronic savages as they've shown the capacity to develop technology and improve themselves.
since atriox is likely to be in halo 6 do you think it would be cool to play as atriox in a mission like you can use his hammer to pull enemies to you he would have amazing assassinations. I would like to hear your thoughts it would be really neat to have a first person view of a brute
Since Brutes mostly universally lack energy shields but have high health pools and melee damage, playing as a brute would generally resemble playing on easy with your shield somehow disabled. Interesting, but if you want ANY sustainability you have to throw the berserker tactics they do so well out the window.

My favorite ones were the "Halo: Non existent edition". Nothing in Halo exists. The guns, your character, the enemies, Etc. A good enemy is a deleted enemy (I don't hate Halo or anything, I'm just telling a joke)

I don't want the old designs only in Halo 6... it would feel as disconnected as Halo 4. Also, the new designs are not that bad. What I really want is both art styles in their own single form, besides each other, and a mix both art styles...

My favourite brute is Bill. He's a chill guy who is capable of getting his way through friendship and persuasion. I once asked him for a hug but he said "No, Human." so yeah, I got pretty upset over that. But it's no big deal because we're still friends and all.
Honestly, I think the most Iconic Brute for me, is the one that took down Romeo during the Rooftop Mission in ODST, He might not have had a name, but I feel it really demonstrated how crazy powerful the Jiralhanae really were as a species over the humans as far as brute strength.
Having finished the Forerunner trilogy, Broken Circle and Fractures this year, I really feel a spin off centred around the end of Forerunner-Flood war (like Silentium or Defender of the Storm), or an Elite based game around Schism or post war (Shadow of Intent), could be great self contained ODST-esque stories that also link into the larger universe.
The possibilities for a forerunner game are endless.

Read about 100 comments, shocked I didn't see anyone answer with Maccabeus, Tartarus' (deceased) uncle. He may have only been in Contact Harvest, but was pretty amazing and gave quite a bit of insight to Jiralhanae culture.
I like how the species or name of a character can be mentioned multiple times in a game series and yet people will still willingly pronounce it differently.

Why UNSC doesn't go there and nuke the planet with the other brute colonies? Brute ate people during war and they are dangerous, if they stop kill/eat themselves they kill/eat others species, so it's a favour to the galaxy.

Of course, Reach was kind of a prequel of events so their lack of appearance in other games made sense; however, what Halo 4 and so on?

The room you cleared killed me so many times on hardcore, you weren’t able to stand 1v1 with those brutes without losing your shield
My favourite brute is by far Pavium from Awakening the Nightmare, followed by Hekabe from Envoy. Both were examples of brutes tempered by loss and war, adding a new dimension to their personalities, especially in Pavium's protective relationship with the younger and more impulsive Voridus
I think it'd be cool if (like in halo wars when serena saids "captain , wake up something has happened) if Roland saids something reminiscent to that , we all think it's cortana but due to the random jumps they're doing they actually run into a brute colony or something or even the banished .
Best Brute is the chieftain that rushes the characters in ODST for the cutscene. One of the best action scenes in halo imo

The Jiralhanae's my favorite species in the Halo universe, so I pretty much like every brute in the Halo universe, but my most favorite brutes are the Chieftain from Halo Wars (Thrallslayer), and his brutes.
Tartarus had special dialog in collectors edition behind the scions disk where he would call the the arbiter a silver headed maiden
