I'm a Christian. I'm also a recovering addict and alcoholic, the conflict and contradictory thoughts are absolutely accurate. The drive to drink is so strong even when you don't want to. His openness and honesty is why so many identify with him.
A lot of it is the feeling that you get the instant relief from alcohol, but you turn to God and Jesus and you don't always get the instant relief and satisfaction that you get from alcohol.
Brandon Hart is Tom’s bestie. He’s been there for Tom when Tom was at his worst. They typically tour together. Brandon Hart is well worth listening to, he has some very inspirational songs. Tom, Brando and Nova did an album together, last year, called “As Far As The Stars”. #hangovergang forever ✌🏽
Hang Over Gang started as partying all night back when Tom was just starting out. Once he went through his rock bottom and near death depression he came out the other side a different person. HOG now stands for living your life to the best of what you can be. I am a 66yo Christian woman and Tom's music reaches me because I did used to be an addict. Been clean and sober since '97. There were so many years I prayed without hearing an answer. Begged to be released from the addiction. It wasn't until someone told me "God knows you can't do it. Tell Him you can't." Before that I was always told it was up to me, that I was letting God down by not being stronger. That night I prayed for him to take it away. The next day I had my last available dose. I stared at it and a small voice in the back of my mind said..."If you take that I can't help you." I crushed it and began thanking God in prayer every minute, literally. Thank you for keeping me clean for the past minute. That went on until I was free. This song helps me see how far God brought me.
Tom has a few songs about his struggle with sobriety. Church, Sober, Angels, and Withdrawals. All worth checking out. Tom was a real big into hanging out with friends and drinking. He would drink all night and cure his hang over with a beer in the morning. Him and his friends called themselves the Hangover Gang. As Tom rose into success in his music they all still called themselves the HOG and invited all Tom fans into the HOG family. When Tom stopped drinking he lost most his drinking buddies but kept HOG as his fan base that just keeps growing every day.
@@NotGospelStudios Not just drinking either - they did drugs as well. If you want to know more, there's no video, but react to "Let Me Go" off of "The Brave".
To answer your question as someone who is a recovering alcoholic I can say this song and several of his others are very inspiring for those of us struggling. I listen to Sober, Withdrawls, I Don't Drink and Church every single day and they remind me of where I was, where I could be and where I am now thanks to making the choice of sobriety. I 100% credit Tom and the Hangovergang family with getting and staying sober.
Just a quick answer to your question...many times I start to forget how bad it was and start thinking about drinking again. Songs like this serve to remind me where I was. When I was about to end my life screaming silently for anyone, anything, to deliver me from my mental illness and literal hell I was living in. It helps me to remember how far I have come. It reminds me that I am not alone and that HOG is my family that I can turn to when it gets bad. It reminds me that others are still going through this same struggle. It makes me cry. It makes me feel. Sometimes a good cry can be helpful as a release to help you go forward feeling more calm. I don't know. It is kinda hard to describe bit songs like this are important.
Im a 54 year old Christian woman. I listen to christian music and Tom MacDonald only. He is real and humble and intelligent. @11:05 Spot on. Tom has been through it - he's an ex addict, a recovering alcoholic, and battled with depression and anxiety and suicidal ideations. Unlike most people in celebrity spotlights, Tom owns these mistakes and issues. Not only is he transparent with these and open, he shares them as both therapy for himself - but also to hopefully help at least one other person. This open and honest approach has helped himself, and has helped so many others that feel a part of the HOG family and feel that strength and unity - like a church community if you will. Which brings up the point of this song - "church" is the abstract idea that he's speaking for I believe. He's not saying he needs to walk into a building that is a church, but he needs "church" as an idea - the community of hopeful and helpful people that bind together to lift each other up, and pay it forward. Regardless of our beliefs in the biblical God, most of us or all of us can benefit from "church" as it is conceptualized as a pillar of support.
As I re-listen, I think this is the closest explanation for the ideas in the song! Thank you for writing that- you said it way better than I would have LOL- Chandra
Cliff- Thank you again, for all the helpful comments. We are figuring out what the next few songs will be, as well as gathering our thoughts to hopefully add our own voice to the conversation. There is so much to take in, with each song.
Yes Tom, Brandon and Nova did an album together last year. Its called As Far as The Stars. Also Brandon has awesome music as well. One of my favorites of Brandon's is Wave. Great reaction.
Okay so Tom and the guy in the video of Brandon Hart that's his best friend they used to go drinking all the time they both have tattoos say see you tomorrow cuz it would go in to start drinking at a bar or many bars and black out and remember seeing them tomorrow there was about four of them all together Tom said and they called themselves a hangover game because they would drink and the next day they be hungover so that's why he calls it to hang everything we're all the hangover army over 3 million strong Tom's changed my life more than I can ever express
1st: This House is a response song to white boy. 2nd: This is a great reaction. 3rd: he does play the guitar 4th: I like the songs “I Wish” and “Castle” 5th: Nova does all the videos.
What Tom is saying is that organized religion is poison. Real religion is a personal relationship with God, nothing more. That's what he needed to quit drinking. A personal relationship with God. Just the 2 of them. Tom's right, he doesn't answer every prayer, but for those who have faith and keep praying, a day will come when he does answer. It will change your life. I can tell Tom has had that day and that is why he is soaring right now like an eagle. #HOG
Great reaction! Glad I found you through Tom. I'm a Christian, never been an addict, but I think a lot of Christians can understand going through something and feeling like God isn't listening. We know that He is and He never abandons us, but in our weakness it can feel like that at the moment. Tom has said praying and God plays a big role in him staying strong, though he isn't sure who that God is, although in his music he always references Jesus. Can't wait to see more! #HOG4EVER
He may not be a Christian but his heart says otherwise. Both Tom and Nova have Beautiful souls. You need to think of the song from an addicts point of view. Brandon was the one who helped Tom get sober if i remember correctly. Angels and Castles is an amazing song. I can say it was probably the reason im still on this planet . i was at my lowest and youtube recommended to me.lol but the song that got him started was called Dear Rappers lots of cursing in that one.
however hearing the song will let you know everything especially why it took off and went viral. it is a good song and was definately meant to open the eyes of those who felt the same as he did. grab people and say gey what are we listening to??? no this isnt right fix it!
This is my favorite song by him. I am a meth addict who suffers from anxiety and depression and I also had a mental breakdown. I have been clean 30 years. It does help to not feel alone. It also helps to people who have been clean for along time to remember what they have overcome and not go back there again. #Hog4life
I’ve never heard Tom discuss this song, but one thing that stands out to me about it is what seems to be a lack of a solution, along with an ongoing struggle. In this song, it seems like Tom quit drinking and got sober, but he’s scared that he won’t be able to hold on to his sobriety, because he still has the cravings, and he isn’t experiencing a sense of “knowing” that God is hearing his prayers. I think this song may be about his struggle to connect to God, or about his disappointment in the results of his own sobriety. People struggling with addiction often believe, I think, that if they somehow find the will and strength to get sober that they’ve won the battle. It can be extremely frustrating and depressing to learn that the struggle continues after achieving sobriety - and if one isn’t finding the sort of connection to God that one is seeking & needing, it may feel a bit like being lost at sea… with a desire to keep up that search for a spiritual connection, but also the temptation of just wanting the comfort of that bottle.
I disagree on one point: Most of us have it pounded into us that there's no "winning" the battle. It doesn't matter if you're sober for 30 years, you're always an alcoholic/addict. It's a fact we have to live with it, it's at the very beginning of AA/NA. There are no illusions that sobriety will ever be without frustration. Feeling lost at sea is accurate for many of us who struggle with the concept of divinity. The 2nd step directly addresses this, which leads back to your point of the struggle with God and lack of results. God isn't a miracle cure and people use prayer wrong. Even most Christians don't understand that prayer isn't meant for God to help you, it's meant to live by His will and in doing so, you'll succeed on your own.
I've been listening to Tom for a couple of years now. Tom he is a workaholic, I think he has to keep himself busy. He is one of the hardest working independent artists.
I highly highly recommend I Wish. It isn't as direct about religion, but is more about the thoughts and regrets that many of us have. I'm 41, and miss the innocence of my childhood so much, especially with how the world is now. Please watch "I Wish" and review. I'm interested in other Christians opinions of it
I showed a friend of mine who's an addict (10 years sober) Tom's video sober... I have seen her angry cry like 2 times ... she balled her eyes out and we had one of the best talks we ever had. She was drugged amd assaulted a couple months ago and it nearly broke her ... especially since it wasnt her fault but she still felt like she didnt deserve her chip anymore... sober and church(even tho she's not a Christian) really helped her She's doing great now
Brandon is Tom's best friend and hype man. He tours with Tom and Nova. Brandon is an amazing artist, that is very underrated! He is different then Tom but also has important messages in all of his songs. I would recommend Bigger Than, Greenlight, Dealing With, and Stayed Here(about the loss of a close friend). would love to see more of him
You should watch Angels by Tom, it takes this message farther and would help you understand what he's trying to do in this song. Good reaction, enjoyed the real conversation about the song. Blessings
Nova directed, shot, and edited the video, they shot the video at their home!!! Anyway, basically Tom has mentioned that God got him through his worst times! Megyn Kelly did an interview with him a few weeks ago and he said that. Definitely check that out! Anyway, Brandon heart, Nova and Tom did a whole album together! They have 3 videos on Tom's page but they did a whole album together. I'm glad you got to this one! Oh and yes Tom plays guitar, and piano. Watch "I wish" you'll see him play piano. Also, the HOG family will be here if you have any other questions!! #HOG
Tom did an interview with Officer Tatum and you should check it out. It will give you more insight into Tom. He also did an interview with Dopey. This is another TH-cam channel. Even more insight into his life and beliefs. #HOG
Hangover gang was what he and his buddies called themselves when they were just teenagers. It has just come along with him over the years. It has evolved from being silly kids getting drunk to a family hungover on life, we just keep it. Tom never gets radio play so no...not accepted I to the mainstream person but does top billboard charts.
Also Tom Macdonald is a real one. He is the only famous person that has ever responded to me in a comment on a live stream. I asked if he would ever come to Michigan. He said that he won't travel or go on tour until it's safe for Nova. Can't do anything but respect that. His lives are great and he loves interacting with people on them.
If you want to see Tom's glorious hair, I'd suggest his song "naked" hahaha 😆 I don't know what you guys would think of it, but it shows off his glorious hair 😄! It's basically Tom trolling in it. As you go through his songs you'll realize he's got a major troll game 🤣🥴. #HOG
It's hard to listen to this song not because I have had an addiction to alcohol my son who is a Marine struggles with it but hearing Tom and Brandon and Nova all pulled at my heart strings especially the last verse broke me I cried a lot
I have not listen to rap since I was 23 now 50 Tom does it for me. He speaks his mind.. My wife has MS and the song castles popped up in my Facebook feed I clicked on it and never turned back.. I have his hook on my leg and a castle on my back with a wheel chair ramp.. Y'all need to check it out
I'm a 56 yr old in England who never listened to Rap until I found Tom on a reaction channel, I Rock with all his styles and topics. Inspiring, uniting and truthful. #HOG UK
When you’re battling an addition and despair (at rock bottom) your demons knock the loudest. And sometimes people don’t realize that maybe God IS answering them…He’s just saying No. (ex: Parents usually know what’s best for us and have to tell us No even if we don’t understand at the time why they’re telling us No). To me, the song is about that battle and the lessons we can learn from it. I can’t remember the exact story at the moment but the Hang Over Gang was something he and his friends started using while he was still drinking a lot but it carried on after he got sober. It became something he kept around and used because it (as well as his music) eventually helped him stay away from alcohol/drinking.
I think I heard Tom say one time on Instagram that he’s pretty much talking about the struggle and just how difficult it is to overcome addiction‼️ Something I struggle with too Great reaction guys‼️
My first song I heard from Tom and Nova is called I'M NOT WELL. Before Tom's song Dear Rappers went viral they were making music together. They called themselves gfbf and its the time period were they fell in love. They had ben friends for quite a few years at that point. YALL SHOULD CHECK IT OUT PLEASE. I just subbed and I'm here for the journey.
Tom, Nova, and Brandon did a 3 way collab album last year called "As Far As The Stars", this song is from that album. Also, he has brought Brandon in several times before, and Tom and Nova are Brandon's video for "Waves". He has been Tom's best friend for a really really long time.
Nova does all video effects and recording she's also an incredible rapper her self! Nova Brandon and tom did an album together called far as the stars! Hangover gang was tom and his buds when they was growing up getting trashed all the time! When he became a rapper he turned Hangover gang into his fan base! HOG for life!
When you come up for air dazed and confused in this ocean called life and you feel like you have to do some healing from past decisions you can look to God or you can talk it over with other people like yourself. Who else could understand? HOG FOREVER.
I am so glad the algorithm led me to your channel. #HOG for life. So if you want more of these kinds of songs that really touch you: "Castles" "I Wish" "Cancer" "Angels" "Withdrawals" Also - because of how much you two obviously love to laugh, I highly recommend "Buttholes" Don't let the title scare you away - honestly, it's a wonderful message and so lighthearted and a fun listen.
Brandon is Tom's best friend... and if I am not mistaken, helped save Toms life. Tom had it rough. I cannot even begin to fathom the difficulties he had. I do know that we are fortunate to have him, Nova, and Brandon in the world. They have inspired many people. His whole family truly care about him. You know this from Tom's music, he expresses his relationship with his family often. This song should have been blasting loud and proud on mainstream radio. #HangOverGang #NovaRockafeller #BrandonHart
Thank you so much, loved your reaction to Toms awesome song #CHURCH. I am really looking forward to your journey with Toms music so I am subbing. Im here for it. #TomMacDonald #HANGOVERGANG #NovaRockafeller
Tom is fully independent...he doesn't need anyone's permission to say what he says. Hangover Gang family always has his back and Nova's. Hangover Gang is a family, an army and personal security for Tom and Nova. Nova does all Tom's videos. You should watch My Fans. Brandon Hart is his best friend...Brandon saved Tom's life. #HangoverGangFam4ever 💕💕💕
the vast majority of AA and NA programs are religion based and the most common things you hear as an addict is that you need to get right with God.. trust in him.. give him your burdens even those who dont believe there is a god find they pray not understanding at the time that those thoughts and hopes and questions they send out into to ether are the same just minus a specific destination meaning even if subconsciously some part of them feels there is something more add to these aspects the fact that going through withdrawal will have you trying anything. thats where the pain after being worse starts too.. youve usually push non drinking friends and family away by that point and need to keep yourself away from those that still do so you are putting yourself through probably the worst pain you ever been through... no crutch and alone. after withdrawal you have to make sure to stay away from any one or thing that wouod lead back to the bottle.. if you can convince yourself to reach out to those who dont then their forwver awkward not knowing whats safe to say and whats not making you unbareably uncomfortable.. and we know that asking for help doesnt get you an obvious response but thoughts aren't exactly c9herent by that time as much as the tryth of church hurts this one is incredibly important to many of us bc it reminds us we're not alone ps the hangovergang originated prior to tom getting sober 😀 oh and ya nova is a beast with the camera... this track was part of a collab album tom did with nova and brandon both incredible artists in the own right... nova raps too!! brandon is toms best friend of close to 20yrs now... he still here in Canada whichbis actually where he was when the album and videos were done... nova directedand produced that master peace cross boarder lol... the videos on toms side are done right at their houae... church shared their living room with canalled fake woke and clown world much love guys and oh ya the hogfam will never make you choose we'll be here for you either way 💯 ❤️
This song is on an album called "as far as the stars" the whole album is Tom, Nova and Brandon. Tom says that they (Brandon and Nova) own part of the masters for that album. My first Tom Macdonald song was "People so Stupid." It made me want to hear all his stuff and I'm pretty much only a country fan lol. I sent it to my sister and she bought every album of his site at the time. So I have heard all his music and there are some unreleased bangers. Love Tom and the gang and I love your perspective too thanks
Everything you need to know about why we are in the HOG nation is in the song My Fans... gotta check it out, not controversial or depressing, celebrates the family
From what I remember from one of Tom's live, HOG became a thing because of Tom's past. Him and Brandon use to drink all the time and called themselves the hang over gang. It just stuck for his fan base.
This song is written from the perspective of someone who is currently in the struggle of ending an addiction. And during that time, there is often a lot of anger, speaking from experience. I think that's the message he giving here. He's showing how in the pits of addiction there is some anger at God when God doesn't answer in the way you think he should. It can be hard to grasp, because so many songs are written about the end result, where God is great and life is good now. This is an honest song about the hard road it took to get to that point.
The song that started this journey is Dear Rappers. (he's done other videos, sans Nova earlier in his career, but since they've been together this one put them on the map!) I read some comments recommending interviews...great idea. You get more insight into the man and also background stories into many of his songs. I'm enjoying your content 😊
this might help.. lol my playlist for tom includes live streams commercials interviews ... everything... th-cam.com/play/PLN9eZVc1bRYEGeggkZVzjJtYDr9xwE8Y3.html
you catching it ...its the hypocrisy of our sociaty ....and how sociaty and the system has affected us ..and me in my last 54 years ...HOG is his tag, and u nailed it . all of toms art is not main stream ..this is the art that modern mainstream " the big 3 lables" spend there time trying to burry. it is what we out there need ...We want empathy we want a artist that can relate ...not someone flashing the Industry crap big car big houst glitz and glam..thats why so so many get tom , anyhoo great reaction glad you enjoyed...#HangOverGang for life.
This is the journey of a seeker struggling through addictions. Been there. He knows God is real and answered when he called for help. He has issues with organized religion.
Glad to see you still on your journey down the rabbit hole. Hope you got plenty of room because HOG will ride with you. I think that church can be that thing that gives you the strength you need when you need it. For me it is my tarantula collection hobby. Each enclosure to me is like a little world I am in control of and it's inhabitant relays on me taking care of its word. That sense of control has helped me stay sober for 3 years now.
It’s just a fantastic song. As a believer who among us doesn’t struggle with the human question “God are you listening”? Because our natural tendency is to want an answer: yes? No? When? God doesn’t work that way. It’s ok to ask the questions and to struggle. Just continue to turn to him and have the faith that He is real, He loves us and He will never forsake us. Even if we can’t see it at the time. HOG4EVER ✝️
He is going back and forth. To think someone struggling with addiction is cured day 1 of church is unrealistic. So in the song God is having him face his demands. The alcohol is the easy way out. He's calling out to God in faith, hoping his prayers are heard.
None of Tom's songs, to my knowledge, have ever been on a radio station. Nova films all his videos. They are almost all filmed in their house, too. Tom builds all the sets. Nova is as amazing with the videos as Tom is with the music. They are a great team.
Tom has few music about his struggles that he has been through, drinking, drugs so many other. He is my fav artist ever, love him and his every single music. “ sober “ , “ angels “ , “ withdrawals “ , “ church “ this are some of the music about his struggles that he has been through #hangovergang 4ever And his gf Nova does his every single music video, she shoots every music of him.
One thing is that people often lose faith because they don't get an immediate answer to their prayers so they assume their Lord isn't listening. I think Tom's prayers have been and will continue to be heard and answered. Where he is today as a person in comparison to where he was mentally as well as financially were answered prayers.
I saw the comment somewhere that someone made that said it's not a matter of deciding your hangover gang. It's a matter of when you realize that you always were. Anyone who is actually listening to the message is part of the fam before they even realize it😘 yes you can be MoG HoG 🥰many are😉🙏 I'm WoG HoG🙏❤🔥
Great reaction guys! I definitely feel that this song is inspiring. It’s beautiful, sad, moving, powerful and inspirational…….but honestly so many of Toms songs are like that. Love Tom and Nova❤️❤️ #hangovergang
During the six years Tom was a pro wrestler, he also worked a lot of side jobs to support himself, because it takes a long time to make it big enough in wrestling to make any real money. He did some carpentry and construction work, which serves him well now. Since the pandemic started, he has built almost all of the sets himself for the videos in his home or in his back yard. I believe he may have a few friends that help sometimes, with the bigger jobs, but he does 90% of it on his own.
Brandon Hart is one of Toms best Friends lives in Canada and is a great artist has some really good songs like YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED just have tissue near by for the ears first time you hear it.... Nova Rockefeller is Toms girl and she shoots all his videos she is also a great artist and has her own songs as well you should check her out as well i suggest the song YOU DID YOUR BEST to start with

He is speaking about not being heard by God. He, perhaps, didn't realize God doesn't always answer prayers the way we think he should.
1st: This House is a response song to white boy.
2nd: This is a great reaction.
3rd: he does play the guitar
4th: I like the songs “I Wish” and “Castle”
5th: Nova does all the videos.
Cancer is another tear jerker
#HOG !!! Thank yall again !!!! Castles !!!!! I Wish !!!!!! I Dont Drink !!!
The conflicting message is EXACTLY what addiction is, especially when you're on the road to recovery.
This is my favorite song by him. I am a meth addict who suffers from anxiety and depression and I also had a mental breakdown. I have been clean 30 years. It does help to not feel alone. It also helps to people who have been clean for along time to remember what they have overcome and not go back there again. #Hog4life
Congratulations on being clean for 30 yrs. So amazing!
How many of us struggle between doing the wrong and right thing? That is the message, we all know the answer, ever been an alcoholic?
It was a hit. Millions of views/streams and as Tom says, "Billboard plaques stacked all up in my mansion."
Cliff- That’s awesome. I would not have expected that with how it challenges those industries like that.
I highly highly recommend I Wish. It isn't as direct about religion, but is more about the thoughts and regrets that many of us have. I'm 41, and miss the innocence of my childhood so much, especially with how the world is now. Please watch "I Wish" and review. I'm interested in other Christians opinions of it
Brandon has been Toms best friend FOREVER.... They've been through alot together. All luv fam
I showed a friend of mine who's an addict (10 years sober) Tom's video sober...
I have seen her angry cry like 2 times ... she balled her eyes out and we had one of the best talks we ever had.
She was drugged amd assaulted a couple months ago and it nearly broke her ... especially since it wasnt her fault but she still felt like she didnt deserve her chip anymore... sober and church(even tho she's not a Christian) really helped her
She's doing great now
Tom did a whole album with Brandon and Nova. Brandon has been one of his best friends for years.
Yeah! So glad to see more Tom!
#HOG #hangovergang #hogfam #tommacdonald #church
This song helped me relate to some of the struggle my husband goes through. Brandon voice is like smooth whiskey ❤️. HOG 🤘
#HOG
Oh when he was still drinking he came up with "the hangover gang" and it stuck so that's now what he calls us, his fans!
2 songs I really like and think you will also are: I Wish and I Don't Care. Thanks for sharing and your reactions. 🙏🏽🤙🏽HOG4EVER
Came for the Tom & Nova reactions and subbed for more, as a #HOGFAM I’ll be coming back for more.
Big fan of #HOGFAM members I have encountered here so far. Good people. Thanks for supporting!
Hell yes to every question at the end to the people who really care
Also Tom Macdonald is a real one. He is the only famous person that has ever responded to me in a comment on a live stream. I asked if he would ever come to Michigan. He said that he won't travel or go on tour until it's safe for Nova. Can't do anything but respect that. His lives are great and he loves interacting with people on them.
Thank you! Tom is our voice. He finds the words that say what many of us feel. He, is one of us!!
I think I heard Tom say one time on Instagram that he’s pretty much talking about the struggle and just how difficult it is to overcome addiction‼️ Something I struggle with too
Great reaction guys‼️
My first song I heard from Tom and Nova is called I'M NOT WELL. Before Tom's song Dear Rappers went viral they were making music together. They called themselves gfbf and its the time period were they fell in love. They had ben friends for quite a few years at that point. YALL SHOULD CHECK IT OUT PLEASE. I just subbed and I'm here for the journey.
Heres the link for the song I'M NOT WELL by Tom and Nova th-cam.com/video/CBhvlog9ZPA/w-d-xo.html
Cliff- Adding ‘I’m Not Well’ to the list! Thank you for the suggestion, and support.
I've been clean and sober since May 25th of 2007
I am so glad the algorithm led me to your channel. #HOG for life.
So if you want more of these kinds of songs that really touch you:
"Castles" "I Wish" "Cancer" "Angels" "Withdrawals"
Also - because of how much you two obviously love to laugh, I highly recommend "Buttholes" Don't let the title scare you away - honestly, it's a wonderful message and so lighthearted and a fun listen.
#HangOverGang #NovaRockafeller #BrandonHart
you should check out Toms video called BEFORE THE SHOOT for whiteboy were he discuses why he wrote the song gives the lyrics a lot more meaning
#HangoverGangFam4ever 💕💕💕
the vast majority of AA and NA programs are religion based and the most common things you hear as an addict is that you need to get right with God.. trust in him.. give him your burdens
even those who dont believe there is a god find they pray not understanding at the time that those thoughts and hopes and questions they send out into to ether are the same just minus a specific destination meaning even if subconsciously some part of them feels there is something more
add to these aspects the fact that going through withdrawal will have you trying anything.
thats where the pain after being worse starts too.. youve usually push non drinking friends and family away by that point and need to keep yourself away from those that still do so you are putting yourself through probably the worst pain you ever been through... no crutch and alone.
after withdrawal you have to make sure to stay away from any one or thing that wouod lead back to the bottle.. if you can convince yourself to reach out to those who dont then their forwver awkward not knowing whats safe to say and whats not making you unbareably uncomfortable..
and we know that asking for help doesnt get you an obvious response but thoughts aren't exactly c9herent by that time
as much as the tryth of church hurts this one is incredibly important to many of us bc it reminds us we're not alone
ps the hangovergang originated prior to tom getting sober 😀
oh and ya nova is a beast with the camera... this track was part of a collab album tom did with nova and brandon both incredible artists in the own right... nova raps too!!
brandon is toms best friend of close to 20yrs now... he still here in Canada whichbis actually where he was when the album and videos were done... nova directedand produced that master peace cross boarder lol... the videos on toms side are done right at their houae... church shared their living room with canalled fake woke and clown world
much love guys and oh ya the hogfam will never make you choose we'll be here for you either way 💯 ❤️
I love the video of when Tom was young and in the classroom and was confronted by the teacher.
I'm not a Christian I am spiritual like Tom. I'm also an addict and an alcoholic. when I'm struggling this song is a life saver.
In God We Trust by Tom, Adam Calhoun, Struggle Jennings and Nova is good as well
From what I remember from one of Tom's live, HOG became a thing because of Tom's past. Him and Brandon use to drink all the time and called themselves the hang over gang. It just stuck for his fan base.
Be forewarned, Tom has a lot of songs that have profanity in them. The ones you find online don't show that. But his lyrical ability is amazing.
Nothing to do with song but I love her laugh. She seems like if your having a bad day u just hang out and listen to her laugh u'd feel so much better.

He has a song called Sober and another called Withdrawals. He is so talented on displaying his struggles and strengths. #HOG fan for life
you catching it ...its the hypocrisy of our sociaty ....and how sociaty and the system has affected us ..and me in my last 54 years ...HOG is his tag, and u nailed it . all of toms art is not main stream ..this is the art that modern mainstream " the big 3 lables" spend there time trying to burry. it is what we out there need ...We want empathy we want a artist that can relate ...not someone flashing the Industry crap big car big houst glitz and glam..thats why so so many get tom , anyhoo great reaction glad you enjoyed...#HangOverGang for life.
It's comments like this that make me want to hear more music. Anyone who has such nice people as fans is worth looking into!- Chandra
@@NotGospelStudios you want to really see the relationship that Tom and his fans have check out "My Fans"
HOG4EVER ✝️
The pastor at my fathers funeral services said the same thing "It’s ok to ask the question - why God?" And "Are you listening?" "Are you there, God?"
A great song to react to from Tom is withdrawals it portrays his true struggle with addiction. 😭
HOGARMY in the house!
🤘😎 Subbed
You Guys gotta Listen to Angles
Doesn’t the devil tend to attack us harder when we are getting closer to God?
Hang Over Gang because we're all trying to overcome something in our lives
He is going back and forth. To think someone struggling with addiction is cured day 1 of church is unrealistic. So in the song God is having him face his demands. The alcohol is the easy way out. He's calling out to God in faith, hoping his prayers are heard.
None of Tom's songs, to my knowledge, have ever been on a radio station.
Nova films all his videos. They are almost all filmed in their house, too. Tom builds all the sets.
Nova is as amazing with the videos as Tom is with the music. They are a great team.
❤️ much love to everybody ❤️ ❤️
Tom has few music about his struggles that he has been through, drinking, drugs so many other.
He is my fav artist ever, love him and his every single music.
“ sober “ , “ angels “ , “ withdrawals “ , “ church “ this are some of the music about his struggles that he has been through #hangovergang 4ever
And his gf Nova does his every single music video, she shoots every music of him.
Prayer is the answer. Always.
This song hit me hard the first time I heard it. Loved Brandon's part too.
Loved the reaction and the talks! HOG 🤟
One thing is that people often lose faith because they don't get an immediate answer to their prayers so they assume their Lord isn't listening. I think Tom's prayers have been and will continue to be heard and answered. Where he is today as a person in comparison to where he was mentally as well as financially were answered prayers.
I relly enjoy you two and I really enjoy your honesty
I saw the comment somewhere that someone made that said it's not a matter of deciding your hangover gang. It's a matter of when you realize that you always were. Anyone who is actually listening to the message is part of the fam before they even realize it😘 yes you can be MoG HoG 🥰many are😉🙏
I'm WoG HoG🙏❤🔥
Love your videos. You guys should do a reaction video to Dax “Dear God”
Cliff- might preview this and let Chandra hear it for the first time.
Love y’all’s viewpoints!
Brandon Hart is one of Toms best Friends lives in Canada and is a great artist has some really good songs like YOU SHOULD HAVE STAYED just have tissue near by for the ears first time you hear it.... Nova Rockefeller is Toms girl and she shoots all his videos she is also a great artist and has her own songs as well you should check her out as well i suggest the song YOU DID YOUR BEST to start with
#HANGOVERGANG4EVER!
I'm loving your Tom MacDonald reactions, thank you so much. #hog uk
