The problem is people are special. As in unique. The education system just tries to make you another brick in the wall. If you are a square shaped peg and there is a circle shaped hole, they will hammer you into that hole until you break and become circular or you shatter. People are special. But not in a way that is hierarchical. Nobody is more special. It is how unique people are and how the education system should focus on finding what you are good at and cultivating it instead of just trying to round you out and make you a smooth, circular peg.

I loved EEAAO and Nope. Both great films. I think Nope had TWO scary scenes: yes the monkey going crazy on set, but also the view inside the alien with all the disembodied screaming 🙃 My favourite film so far this year has been The Whale. I was hooked the whole time and it made me cry 🥺 I have watched the entirety of Friends. It is the definition of mid and a lot of it is just straight up bad. I have not watched Seinfeld.
I love M Night. I think the problem with M Night is that after the 6th Sense hit as hard as it did, a bunch of people decided to proclaim him the second coming of Alfred Hitchcock, and then when his material turned out to be less highbrow than they expected from that title, they flipped on him. His movies are enthusiastic and fun in a way a lot of others aren’t.
