There is a DIY at 205 Hopkins Blvd in Biloxi, Ms. Gulfcoast Skateparks Association just received a donation of a mini ramp. Biloxi DIY skaters are stoked.
Spot looks sick man! Love the wide transition on it. I made a barrier spot a while back that I've been meaning to add some mortar to the top third of the ramp to make the transition less harsh. I think the quick transition at the bottom is fine, but hitting the second divot onto the barrier wall zaps my speed and throws me off. I want to make it so my nose almost scrapes the bottom of the concrete but not onto the barrier. Then maybe there'd be more clearance form my tail to the ramp to get into grinds. Could be cool to do a comparison with one side with mellow transition to the top, one side that's mellow on the bottom, and the middle could have both. It's snowing up here so I won't know if this actually helps for a while, but I thought I'd mention my thoughts about it. Cheers for getting me into diy and happy new years!
use a tarp to mix yr cement its way less work an mixes up way quicker an its easier on the body ,, cuz u can flip an mix it all super quick an can just dump it rite out of the tarp without shovel,, if u fix two corner of one side of tarp to something then u hold the other two corners u can do it alone super handy ,,a couple of flips in the tarp an whole bag is mixed,,, really saves the shoulders compared to mixing with a shovel
Tho I am pretty sure your channel got popular from all the DIY vids you did back in Australia but man I gotta ask. After living in California with thousands of the dopest skate parks and skate spots around why even bother anymore? Do you enjoy the process? Are the spots more fun to skate? I just dont get it. Also I am a jaded carpenter and have been doing construction for 20 years now the last thing I ever wanna do on my free time is more work 🤣. Anyways keep it up man was still fun to watch and love the channel as always!!
cheers bro!! Basically, where I live now isnt a very skate friendly town, the city has made about a dozen pump tracks in the last 5-6 years, but we still have the same dog shit 1990s skatepark that feels like youre skating a ditch lol, so this was purely out of me wanting to have more options to skate, we did get a small new prefab park but its always super busy still, so having these spots is almost like having your own spot etc the process is fun but only because its new and intresting and fun lol i can see how 20 years of the same work would feel kind of jading lol, if i was smart and had guidance as a teen i should have become a tradesmen!
@ hey man thanks for the awesome response. Sometimes its easy to forget how giant Cali is!! Def still enjoy the process and the outcome is cool to watch. Stick to tattoos man. My body is so damn destroyed from work at 38 cant even imagine what its gonna be like at 60. Tho an office job sounds like a death sentence I imagine doing tattoos and meeting cool people everyday and being artistic is like the best of both worlds.
@ no worries man! Tattooing is great, when it’s busy lol when it’s dead like it has been this year it gets a little scary, but that is the life of an artist lol but I’ve only even known tattooing as a job! Never had a real job !
Bob the builder could NEVER !

Fuck yea bro! Sand it down, hit it with a clear coat, wax and it will be butter to grind on top! I can't wait to see your next video!
concrete mixing tub under 20 at lowe’s and a square head shovel from a thrift shop would help it go a lot easier, also gallon jugs. keep at it!

Damn never thought about doing this! What a life hack! I just bought a little mixing tub from home depot last week!
It’s a game changer no knots in yr shoulder the next day from shovel repetitive action , just a few flips holding the corners of trap an yr done
cant wait for ep3

Happy New Year, mate!
Very cool 😎
Hard Yakka 💪
100% real bloke hours over here
You need to make some transition templates that run up past the kink. Use more back fill then screed and finish.
100% would do this different next time lol
Can’t learn if you don’t just get out there and do it. Keep it up!
