Love your play through! I have all the starters coming in today. Getting into the game late after having all the things for Arkham Horror and Marvel Champions. Love FFGs coop LCGs. So good.
My favorite part of watching all these playthroughs is seeing just how smooth you play the game. Makes me feel like my plays are overly laborious. Good stuff!
Thank you, I really appreciate that comment. I do edit out my thinking if it takes too long. But some of these earlier quests I have all the cards memorized so I can play very quickly. Thanks again for taking the time to make this really nice comment.
14:28 I love this game. I’ve been playing it since launch, I own everything and have played countless times. But it’s card effects like this one that can, at times, really bring the game down. There are certain cards that, if you get them at the wrong time may as well just say “you lose the game”. Yes you can plan for it and mitigate it with good deck building and good play, but sometimes , you just get it at a time where there’s nothing you can do about it and no matter how good your board state is, you’re just done. Like I said, I still love this game to death, it’s one of my favorite’s of all time, but it does have that one Achille’s heel.
@@aaronstark5060 yeah in that cards case, you might lose a hero. At the beginning of the game, you might need to start over but towards the end, you could definitely continue with two heroes.
In this playlist there is a game using all the starter decks without modification, they should be the first 4 videos. This is this starter deck's cards and the Core, so all cards you would have.
Hi Chad I just started recording games I am going to be doing a thematic Lord of the Rings campaign I just put out the first quest in the Black Riders part 1 A Shadow of the Past you can find it by look up LOTR LCG Saga and scroll down until you see me at Carl Swanson There And Back Again Hope you enjoy watching it and encourage to watch as well.
Why all youtubers are sooo obsessed with having exactly 50 cards? Like why have 2 Gandalf If you can have 3? It's just a bit ridiculous the rule states minimum of 50 cards so please eleborate?
it maximizes the odds of finding the cards you need the most. Every card you put in your deck over 50 dilutes the odds of finding your key combo cards. This deck has no Lore, so card draw is limited, therefore you want to give yourself the absolute best chance possible. Odds are in any game of LOTR LCG you are only going to see half your deck during the entire game, why would you add more cards that you will not see? Most games go 7-9 rounds, assuming you have some card draw, you will see 17-26 cards total.
I want to build a very similar (maybe the same deck) any idea how to get some healing in there? Since this seems to be its biggest weakness ? (I have all the revised content including some old cycles as well).

Upon seeing all his friends die from the might of Gondor... that wolf just ran away
Totally agree!!
I made a deck similar to this recently which handled the hill troll, but had Lore Denethor instead of Imrahil.

That was one smart wolf!
So that’s why I saw the Beastmaster clearing out his cubicle today. No wonder the boss went sauron him.
Lol, awesome!
Another deck without healing but you won, nice. And this last round was great.
thanks! it was a good game for sure!
So you change the decks... so your NOT playing the Gondor Starter Deck then, just came back to this game and trying to get understand it all again

Welcome back!
I think when you play Soldier of Gondor at 18:40, you forget to pay for him. But in this moment you are so rich, that it makes no difference. 😉
Great catch! Thanks for watching
