That wasn’t her final exit before this return. She returned with Stephen Beale a year after this exit with Peter. (She returned after the truth about Bobby killing Lucy came out) she stayed for a few years again and then left after her sister Abi died. She also returned for Dot’s funeral.

Is it because she couldn't get gigs after Eastenders. Not to compare but alot of US Soap Actors leave for what the yanks call Prime Time TV. Folks from This Is Us, Scandal, and Desperate Housewives made their bones on Soaps.
