    Strange question perhaps, but I'm a model builder and use a lot of sand paper to sand off rough edges after cutting a piece out. I was wondering if this little contraption might work to make sandpaper adhesive? • @StickinItWithAnthony
      @StickinItWithAnthony  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That sounds really frustrating. I’d assume it depends on what material you are sticking , but it’s pretty sticky. The problem with making the old ones sticky again is there is usually some dirt on the back of the sticker which can cause adhesive issues. Thanks for watching

    Hi there,
    Thanks for sharing.
    A couple of years ago I bought a whole lot of smiley stickers. There are 8 x 12 small yellow smiley stickers on each A6 sheet. They each have a diameter of 10mm. They've lost their stickiness. The problem is that they start to pop out and won't stick. I have 24 sheets. How can I restore these?

    • @StickinItWithAnthony
      @StickinItWithAnthony  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Teacher PA, that’s a great question! It’s tough when there’s a lot of them like that… I wonder if you could use a piece of double sided sticker paper and then either cut them out, or punch them out with a hole punch if you could find one in a similar size?
      That’s a tricky one, especially with 24 sheets.
      I feel like no matter what it’s going to be a big job. Xyron makes other sizes of sticker making machines, I wonder if a different size machine might help! Maybe try to find one you can lay them all down and create a whole sheet.
      I wish I had a better answer for you, please let me know if you have any luck!!

    hello, can i ask if sticking the stickers on ordinary paper would affect the stickers adhesive?

    • @StickinItWithAnthony
      @StickinItWithAnthony  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Usually once you stick to paper it’s on there for good, or the paper rips. You can get repositionable tape for some of the Xyron machines, but it would probably depend on the paper I guess… like tissue paper would probably still rip.
      As far as the adhesive I am still experimenting with it!

    Could xyron made stickers handle heavy handling? I solve twisty puzzles and prefer stickerless cubes, but occasionally a stickered cube enter my collection. Either there is no stickerless alternative, or one isn't in stock. And certain cube *cough* mefferts ghost cube *cough* have been shedding stickers with no evidence of the glue, while others are having their stickers slide around while I'm solving leaving my hands to get sticky. I've considered custom cutting stickers to replace what is failing, but wouldn't want to buy large sticker sheets en mass for cutting, and I may consider this a passable option to my growing problem.

      Aw, I can see how some people might not like the sticky feeling. Hmm, if you want to take it off be very careful… you could use a blow dryer on low heat to warm it up, then use some good tweezers to carefully lift a corner, then lift it slowly.
      If you want the DS to be it’s home, you could give it a gentle wipe down and laminate it with either tape or a laminating sheet from Staples (or wherever) and cover it.
      I’m now invested.

      It’s super sticky on both sides, and pretty durable.
      It can be tricky to cut out, but works well.
