Grew up in Florida,know the woods and swamps here,but when you actually hear one that is upset and yells,screams,growls louder than anything you've ever heard,well,guess I don't know all the animals in my home state. I guess point being is nothing else could make those sounds. Deer are plentiful,fish,small game,water is very plentiful. I'll be 68 this month and that experience changed my way of thinking.
No, I can second him on the Florida skunk ape I seen the skunk ape,No one hardly believes me but I know what I saw and at that time I was living in the Ocala national forest, I had feet tracks but unfortunately m dad had came out while I was gone and he was washing the mud tracks that were on my ac unit. My father didn't know what the tracks were or what thay ment,
These things are already protected. The U.S Fish and Wildlife service brochure for the Lower Suwannee national wildlife refuge clearly states "No taking of swamp or skunk apes".
the way to protect creatures like this who is living like this is simply let them be. no human interference, if not the poor thing will end up in a cage.
It's not clear evidence of the skunk ape 22 years ago and recently people have only seen the footage it could be a large species of ape that's not identified yet or somebody messing around to fool people wouldn't he be dead by now if it was seen since the 1970s lol 😅 and I'm sure he be no match for a grizzly bear 🐻 or even a black bear 🐻

Well...if they were chimpanzees, why is the fish and wildlife allowing them to run free in the forest and Everglades. Shouldn’t they be captured?
