Did you know that actually bunnies can’t eat the carrots - only the carrot greens, I had a friend who owned a rabbit and she told me that the vet said that they are allergic to the actual carrots and she used to buy carrots with their greens and just give the greens with lettuce to the rabbit. I didn’t know that! The dessert board came out so cute! All of the stores around here ran out of Easter candy weeks ago. I work at Shoprite and we had none for the last two weeks except for jelly beans. I couldn’t get the M&M Easter eggs or the pastel candy covered almonds at all. Instead I bought a box of Lindt Easter candy at Costco and I packed them up in little baggies and gave them out to my co-workers. I feel the same way as you do about amusement parks. I hated going to them for vacation because I was always exhausted when I got home, I prefer a beach getaway or renting a house somewhere (Cape Cod was a great place for that.) They are great to keep children busy but parents do not find them relaxing, or really all that great. They are super-expensive, you end up waiting on lines for hours (it seems), you get caught in rain while waiting on those lines, others in the park are irritating and they are rushing around. It is super-tiring.
Any vacation with kids is a trip. Any vacation without kids is a vacation vacation. My husband and I went to Sanibel island for my 40th birthday. We didn’t have an agenda besides relaxing and it was soooo amazing!
My Mom used to always make ham salad, turkey salad, chicken salad, egg salad, pimento cheese spread, etc. Ham Salad is delicious. My Mom taught me well and we loved having ham salad & turkey salad after every Holiday!! I look forward to it. 😀💥🌈

Hi Jen, I saw somewhere to take the plastic off cucumber and wrap it in paper towel. It really works and they last for weeks even up to a month on the fridge that way xx
Next time you do a spiral ham try warming it in your Sous vide. It comes out so tender and not dried out. 4-8 hrs at 140degrees and then put in 475degree oven with glaze until it’s golden. You will love it!

We ate ham salad and deviled ham, and ham croquettes, too, from leftover ham. Mama had a hand crank, but once she got her kitchenAid - she got the attachment and used that. Obviously, some ppl don’t know how to have variety in their diet and use up all of their food! I also save the bone and the thicker bits of the ham and the drippings - I separate the fat from the broth - and make ham and barley soup with carrots with the broth. My brother in law makes ham and Lima beans with the bone, too. Love ham!

My lower teeth were very crooked, different heights, age 65 now got my braces after 60. I’m happy for you that you are taking care of this and not waiting until you are as old as I was. Ham salad is great! We always had it growing up, and we used a meat grinder that clamped onto the tabletop, and we could grind the celery and carrots and onion that we added to it. YUM!! Great video, Jen! 👵🐇👵

Your videos just play and play while I cook and clean and whether I’ve seen them before or not, I never get tired of them. We’re so similar on so many levels down to our family size even…you’re relatable and inspirational. Good for you to prioritize your time in a way that works for you. Food savers are the best! I need to use mine more than I do. I got a chuckle when you talked about your grandma and her hand crank meat grinder. My mom had one and she would clamp it on the kitchen counter and would grind up roast beef from our Sunday dinner and would make beef salad out of it. That was always really good. I LOVE ham salad. I made a breakfast bake and big bowl of ham salad the day after Easter plus canned 7 quarts and 10 pints of ham and 14 quarts of ham bone broth. I also cook 2 hams every year so I have enough to last me to next Easter. 😊

It's not something I'd normally mention, crooked teeth and braces are VERY common in my family, at any age, so I usually just don't "notice"... one way or the other... but I know it's important to you and I understand why. 🙂 As a semi-retired teacher I also understand the need for "relaxing" vacations... it's great doing things, but sometimes a person just needs time to sit and not do much but soak in the sun!

Had braces as a teenager. The pain is always temporary, and it’s the worst when you first get them put on. It isn’t a sharp pain though, it’s like a soreness. Totally manageable :)
Leftover theft is legit. If I have something I don’t want my husband to eat - especially leftover hibachi - I write a threatening note on the container.
I’ve found that ground ham isn’t really much of a thing outside of Iowa. I grew up there and we had ham balls at all our holiday gatherings. After I moved to Texas in 1992, I had to have family bring it when they’d come to visit.
I love having canned chicken on hand, though I admit the first time I used it, I was a little grossed out. 😂 I use it on nights when I get home late from work and have poorly planned. 😇 It’s a quick fix for enchiladas, casseroles, soup, or on top of pizza.
Amusement parks are fun, but they're definitely exhausting and stress me out to a degree because of the amount of people and having small children. We live close to a few parks, so we don't usually make vacations out of going to amusement parks.
