It's refreshing and realistic not to go crazy on planner purchasing! It probably helps people make conscious buying decisions and not get swept up tin the frenzy, when realistically most people probably just work in one planner.
FYI- made myself a 3 month planner using the date stickers to test the common planner layouts before jumping in - the consistent placement on stickers in the same spot on multiple pages/layouts made for an extremely bumpy and textured writing experience. Just a heads up that I didn’t think about before doing it!
I realized this when I started using teeny weather stickers on my HON daily pages. I gave it up halfway through Feb. and started drawing little suns, clouds, etc. And that was fun!
It’s fun to see how people are so different! I cannot use an undated planner because I will MOST DEFINITELY fill in the wrong weeks and dates… I NEED something pre-made because I don’t know what it is but I always mess upp dates and which day has which date and so on. I tried bullet journaling but got frustrated because I kept doing the calendars wrong (”hmm do this new month start on a wednesday? or thurday????? or tuesday? Oh it’s tuesday! Wait what, now I have done it and it’s actually a thursday???) so to make my life easier I stick with pre-dated planners. I’m a big writer and scribbler as well so I easily fill up all empty space lol. My planners are in the artistic bullet journal style, meaning I’m quite creative with it, but I realize I need dated planners regardless… ADHD and autism brain I guess.
I enjoyed this style so much. I'm really weak of the excess and over the top style of so many planner content creators. Thank you for that. Proving you are my favorite when it comes to planner and productivity content.
Would you be willing to do a tarot collection video or perhaps one where you go into how you tarot journal? 😊 I use tarot and oracle decks as well, and would like to see how you incorporate it into you journaling habits 😊
It is nice to see others that are not buying excessive amounts of planners, I am using my stash of notebooks and undated inserts for 2025. I am also considering a low buy stationary year as I have way to many stickers/washi/pens etc.
I literally analyzed every option for like six weeks before deciding on the Sterling Ink N1. I knew I wanted to dust off my TN and use it for 2025, so the N1 is perfect. Can’t wait to use it!
I really enjoyed your video. Thanks for sharing. It's given me some great ideas about how to make my system work for me. BTW, I like your nails. They are clean and neutral and don't distract the viewer or take away from what you're doing. I appreciate that sooooo much.
I love this. I bought myself a half year undated planner to see how I liked for the ending of 2024. I do like it but it’s still missing something’s that I have would like so now I’m thinking of just getting her grid notebook and completely making my own planner putting in what I do use, leaving out what I don’t use.
I actually bought the undated because i had purchased a hobonichi and I wanted to see which one i would like more. And I love the common planner, I absolutely love it. Its my favorite planner ever. Im not afraid of saying it even if Im only 3 weeks into it. One thing for me is that I write a lot.... A LOT. So im going to need another one before 2025 ends, and I went ahead and bought another undated and will be using both for the end of 2024 and all of 2025. Ill have Oct 25 to May 25 in the first one I bought, and then Jun 25 to Dec 25 for the other. I like that is completely undated because like I said, I write too much and some days I need more than 1 page. Im so happy with it I use it everyday and that was a hard thing for me to do before with other planners. I have not been this excited about a planner since I had a Domino Filofax patent leather binder with a bullet journal planning style in 2016. ❤❤❤
I got an updated TN book fr9m sterling ink. Honestly putting in the date sticker took HOURS and then I realized I misdated a week half way through the year and had to change the stickers for half the year. It was pretty miserable. I got a dated A5 this year and am eagerly awaiting its arrival.
I very much considered a blank because I also hate the gaps.. but ended up going with a dated because I don't trust myself to stay consistent either when I have to fill dates out lol. I'm planning on using my blank notes pages from 2024 into 2025 bc I haven't even used a third but am getting a new vertical weekly booklet. Which I think will work out fine because I really need everything on display at once
Thanks, Rachelle. I, too, have taken the "undated" route for 2025. I am waiting for my S-I order to arrive and have decided to try the monthly subscription...I am very excited!! Bests to you.
I REALLY love undated planners. And sometimes I just use a notebook. I really thought hard about getting the undated planner too, but opted for a notebook.
Yesss!! The undated common planner is great! I got it because I started in August. I just missed a week of planning and it doesn't matter in this planner! 😊
I've bought the dated Sterling Ink planners for 2025, but my first was an undated one a couple of years ago, because I was keen to try them out and too impatient to wait until planner season :) I loved being able to write out the dates in coloured pens instead of having boring grey text, but it can get to be a bit of a chore to set them up every week or month, so definitely pros and cons!
I agree with your analysis of the undated planner. I love that there is flexibility of an undated planner. I plan quarterly and work for a company that has an April year end. So my quarterly goals are not on track with most calendars. I’m excited to get my order from SI a few weeks ago. My goal is for my SI undated planner is to be where I set Quarterly goals for both business and personal. And a catch all for memory keeping, journaling etc. And I’m ok if there are pages that are not complete.
I truly enjoy Sterling Ink products, especially the undated planners. However, for 2025, I chose to go with a dated A5 planner from Nisha Fernando Designs since it is a Michigan base company. I do have 6 undated A5 common planners that will get used in the future. I do plan on buying 1 undated N2 common planner to use as my catchall. I'm actually enjoying seeing a combination of content creators who are buying all the planners and those who have chosen to streamline and buy 1 or 2 planners for the coming year.
I am not sure why I do not hear a lot about the Hemlock and Oak planners. I got the undated daily and a slim notebook. They are such good quality and I do not see a lot of videos.
I just ordered the Hemlock and Oak minimal planner for 2025 to try out. I did purchase the SI A5 full year more out of habit but if I like the H&O better, I’ll sell the SI.
I use the hemlock and oak inserts for my stay at home planner that houses master weekly to do and other sections divided out ( I don't need most topics out and about ) but they need a home
@@TiffH82 I bought the H & O minimal for 2025 too--I'm excited to try it out! And I also bought a Cousin HON (after deciding I wasn't buying a Hobonichi this year) and of course I still keep going back to the SI site. Kids, don't be like me.
Interesting... I'm switching from an undated Muji planner to a dated B6 Slim Common Planner! I got fed up of writing the dates over and over. But I basically used every monthly and weekly spread in it. I'm just worried I may underutilize the blank pages in the back of the Common Planner...
I can only use a passport when I turn it and write as if the 2 pages are 1 page. I use it as a log as I work through tasks. I also like the undated I’ve been using it for the last 3 months.
I bought a B6 slim horizontal and now I'm kicking myself because it's just a slightly bigger Weeks. I really thought I wanted a B6 horizontal. Nope. Still looking at options for 2025. I picked up a clearance 2024 Aura Estelle X Annie Plans A6 carry-all and it seems to be about the amount of space I need for a personal planner.
I've just redated a 2024 CP I snagged on sale to be a 24-25 academic. It saved me the trouble of dating Aug-Dec, and I use it for work, so I scrap the weeks as soon as they're over and wrapped. I think I'll do this next year too, this way I can get the gilded edges and all for way less and then I just go in with a correction tape and pen during my Zooms. 😆🤫
Love all the different sticky notes. I see a few I will go after. I had to roll my eyes 🙄 when you said that A6 and below is too small. I have a Cousin and loved it, but thought an Original might be a better size for me. I really do more planning than anything. Only time will tell. Great vid, as always 😊
I still haven’t made my purchases because I have had so many in my cart, and I don’t know what I actually want to use. I love the sticky notes - especially The great Gatsby ones!
Ooh love this planner! I got the 5 year too and I’m probably going to fill in 2024 because I’m too excited to wait for 2025 even though the years line up better
I ordered mine for 2025 after having had a rather positive experience last year - even after the terrible delays they had - but I Am so disappointed. I am not a demanding customer but this time around, receiving the planner was underwhelming. The paper is different from last year and it sucks! the ghosting is horrible. I don't know if I want to use it. I have tried with all types of ink and they all ghost horribly. It sucks!
I’m happy I purchased her undated planner and her daily undated last year so I can use her planner still.. however the 2025 Bolder darker font and style changes I did not like the look of at all.. I did get one to see in person just in case online picked it up different and sold it immediately.

I am sad that I have a hard time seeing what’s printed 😳🥹 I bought one thinking I was getting a tn and then ordered the tn ;(

Same. I watched so many videos and decided on the N1 as my main planner for 2025.

Uni Pin and micro perm are oil based and works well with the transparent sticky notes.
Have you experimented with turning the pocket sized vertically (like the bullet journal pocket that is an A6 but used as an A5)?
I REALLY love undated planners. And sometimes I just use a notebook. I really thought hard about getting the undated planner too, but opted for a notebook.
Oil based ink pens (Uni) has some will work on those stickies.

I did the same thing! I bought the new B6 Daily planner Undated! I fell like the pages I don’t write on I can go back and use. It’s a theory
Sakura pigma microns work great with the tracing sticky notes!

Like a “to do” list? That’s a good idea
Hi there. Love your channel 😊 Can you perhaps tell me how her paper differs from Hobonichi. I see its both 52gsm Tomoe River paper. Thanks.
Hers is so much better
Sarasa mark on is my holy grail when it comes to writing on transparent tabs or sticky notes. Give it 1min and it's dry little to no smudging

Have you used an Erin Condren planner? I LOVE that paper. How does the paper compare in a Sterling Ink paper?
wow. literally first. (i already got my sterling ink and i'm pleased with it)

I bought her n1 undated to try it out. I don’t like it. I bought it dated for 2025. Ugh too much work.
Good on you!
Definitely don't use fountain pens with your tracing paper sticky! Lots of smearing!
