wow, 15 years of journaling! i remember i used to have diaries until high school but i stopped writing years ago. i've been wanting to go and start journaling, and creating a habit of doing this. i've found this so-called gratitude journal and im thinking that would be a good way to get back to this. PS: im a silent viewer from the philippines! love that van gogh at the background and the book stand btw!
Welcome welcome :) gratitude journals are the best ones honestly - sometimes we don’t realize what we appreciate on a day to day basis. I make the mistake sometimes of only commemorating big events but I also wish I could remember the little things more! The Van Gogh Lego set was a recent obsession of mine :))) thank you for noticing!
@@Flauranotfauna that's so true! im making an effort to also practice gratitude this year so i think it would really help me! and omg i'll search for that lego set, thank you!!🥰
It's nice hearing your experience with journaling. Also, admire your beautiful taste in journals, I wish I had chosen nicer journals when I started. I have a box of about 16 journals at my parent's house (half of them are a trashy aqua blue and the other half - from my teenage years are black). I stopped writing a few years ago as I found myself getting perfectionistic about my entries (needing to fill in every detail like it was a novel). Is this something you have ever struggled with? Either way, I think you may have inspired me to get back into it and focus more on writing for myself than some unknown entity.
So glad to hear you are thinking about getting back to it! I have definitely struggled with phrasing my entries a certain way that it starts to lose authenticity, reading back the first entries it sounds kinda funny haha. Don’t put too much pressure on- sometimes I just doodle in it or even draw graphs! I’m also pretty sure I started journaling in part because i was gifted a pretty journal haha :) even now I’m always on the hunt for the next one. The quality of the pages also matters too!
