You’re not worried that the game of thrones team won’t come down on you for the extreme similarities (mostly the beginning and end)? I really enjoy the song… But every time I listen I think of game of thrones.
Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad you enjoy the piece, and I'm sorry that you feel that it's so similar to GOT. My pieces are a completely authentic representation of my feelings based on my personal experiences through life. Bioluminescence in particular was drafted in 2019 after I was faced with a traumatic event in my life. I had never watched Game of Thrones before or after this event. I put the piece away until January 2020, and completely reworked/rerecorded it in one evening based on a transformational experience I was having at the time. Not once did the idea of GOT or any other soundtrack cross my mind. I was simply channeling what I was feeling. Since I do compose soundtracks, it's possible that any of my music may sound similar to other film scores since they all have cinematic elements to them. If you're able to read sheet music, let me know, and I'd be happy to write out the opening/ending riff for you side-by-side with the GOT riff for easy comparison. Stay well 🙏
@Kung Fu Imaging Mate... Listen to the GOT theme song again. Just because it is the same musical instrument used there it is pretty damn far from being "extremely similar"... The melody is totally different. You cannot ban people from using the same musical instrument you used in your tv show's title song.
