Thanks Chris for this great machining video. I wish you a happy new year and best wishes for 2024, health and happiness as a priority, have a good weekend and see you soon on your channel.
Frohes neues Jahr Chris.
I wish I understood how you do this. Are you writing a complete NC program to finish the entire part, or are you running small programs for each dimension?
Same to you! Yeah, the end of the year was a little hectic. I had to put youtu.be on a back burner. Hopefully, things will get back to somewhat normal.
Thought the same. My guess is that with so much turning on so many pieces it would have taken too much time, so offloading that OP on another machine made more sense despite the additional setup required
We don't always get the entire assembly drawings, and I can't always show everything, but if there's some interest, I'll try to incorporate more drawings.
@@ChrisMaj I have no experience of CNC machines, I'm the old fashioned turner, miller, shaper man. Watching how the machine works is great, I did build some CNC lathes, but never used them
Great piece of turning on both machines, like the bolt thru the clevis idea, great thinking 👍 thanks for sharing and happy new year 👍
Thanks, you too!

Thanks a lot. We'll see what New Year brings.
As always great video, can't wait to switch to a large machining center in six months after my apprenticeship
Good luck!

Du weißt was sie sagen. Frohes Neues Jahr.
Happy New Year Chris!
Same to you!

Thanks for sharing and Happy New Year to you and your family 😅
Happy New Year!
Happy New Years! You're still a fair hand I see. 😂😂😂
Always😉, just my eyes are not what they used to be.
Happy new year! I hope you had some quality time with the people who matter, and I look forward to seeing what you make this year!

good job Chris Maj
Happy new year from Sherbrooke gear work! Your setup don’t give you the chance to drill and tap on it?
Yeah, I could've finished the whole thing, but I'm the only guy running this vtl, and the lathe that you see in my videos, so they're helping me out.
🍻
Happy NY Chris! 🎄🎆
VTL no drilling ?
Thought the same.

Yeah, StefanoLinguanotto is right. I'm the only one running this vtl and just can't keep up.

Hi from Croatia, I want working with you, know how to work on a vertical and horizontal CNC
👍👍👍🤘
Apprentice: It's 52 and one small line and a medium line and another small line and one big line in diameter boss.
👍 👍
Would make it more interesting if we saw the actual drawing of the item involved, some of us are engineers!

I'm sure there is the threat of intellectual property violations with some of this as well
how long do you have to wait before measuring the part?
Nice work, as usual Chris.
I appreciate that
It would be neat to see Chris's pieces of art installed in the final product.
Not this time. I'm trying as much as I can.
All done conversationally? You are the master. Thank you.
You know it 😉. Not everyone likes it, but it works for what I do, well, most of the time
